एक गाँव मे संत श्री रामदास सत्संग का प्रवचन करने के लिये ठहरे हुये थे वो बहुत ही शालीन स्वभाव के थे और स्वयं के हाथों से सात्विक आहार बनाकर ग्रहण करते थे!
एक बार एक युवक आया और उसने रामदास जी से अपने घर भोजन ग्रहण करने के लिये कहा तो महात्मा जी ने कहा वत्स मैं अन्यत्र कही भोजन नही करता हूँ ये मेरा नियम है पर वो युवक बड़ी जिद्द करने लगा और बार बार समझाने पर भी जब वो न समझा तो रामदास जी ने उसका दिल रखने के लिये अपनी स्वीकृति दे दी!
अगले दिन महात्मा जी उसके घर भोजन करने को गये तो उस युवक ने भोजन का थाल लगाया नाना प्रकार के व्यंजन बनाये और उस थाल मे परोसकर महात्माजी के आगे रखे और फिर महात्माजी ने हाथ जोड़कर भगवान को प्रणाम किया और जैसे ही महात्माजी ने आँखे खोली तो उस युवक ने महात्मा जी से कहा रे ढोंगी तु तो कही भोजन नही करता फिर यहाँ क्यों आया और उसने उन्हे काफी अपशब्द कहे फिर महात्मा जी वहाँ से मुस्कुराकर चले गये और बारम्बार भगवान श्री राम का शुक्रिया अदा कर रहे थे !
श्री रामदास जी की वो मुस्कुराहट और उनके द्वारा भगवान श्री राम जी को शुक्रिया अदा करना उस युवक के समझ मे न आया और बारबार श्री रामदास जी की वो मुस्कुराहट एक तीर की तरह उसके सीने मे उतर गई और फिर जिस दिन कथा की पूर्णाहुति थी वो युवक श्री रामदास जी के पास गया और क्षमा प्रार्थना करने लगा तो महात्माजी ने उन्हे तत्काल क्षमा कर दिया!
युवक ने कहा देव उसदिन जब मैंने आपको इतने असभ्य शब्द बोले तो आपने वापिस प्रति उत्तर क्यों न दिया ? और रामजी का शुक्रिया अदा क्यों कर रहे थे ?
हॆ वत्स दो कारण थे एक तो मेरे गुरुदेव ने मुझसे कहा था की बेटा रामदास जब भी कोई तुझे असभ्य शब्द बोले तो अपने नाम को उल्टा कर के समझ लेना अर्थात सदा मरा हुआ समझ लेना वो जो कहे उसे सुनना ही मत! और यदि तु सुन भी ले तो तु यही समझना की ये अपने असभ्य खानदान का परिचय दे रहा है और जब कोई सामने वाला अपना परिचय दे तो तु भी अपना परिचय देना और हर परिस्तिथि मे मुस्कुराहट और सभ्यता के साथ पेश आना और चुकी तुम्हे संत बनना है तो संयम ही संत का और उसके खानदान का परिचय है तो तु संयम से अपना परिचय देना कही तु अपना आपा मत खो देना कही तु भी उसकी तरह असंयमितता का परिचय मत दे देना!
और मैं श्री राम जी का इसलिये शुक्रिया अदा कर रहा था की हॆ मेरे राम तुने नियम भी बचा लिया और गूरू आदेश भी! और आज मैं संतुष्ट होकर तुम्हारे गाँव से जा रहा हूँ और एक बार फिर से रामजी का आभार प्रकट करता हूँ !
युवक ने कहा पर आप अब क्यों आभार प्रकट कर रहे है?
रामदास जी ने कहा बेटा तेरा ह्रदय परिवर्तन हो गया और तेरे गाँव मे आना मेरा सार्थक हो गया और वो युवक संत श्री के चरणों मे गिर गया !
जिस प्रकार मैले दर्पण में सूर्य देव का प्रकाश नहीं पड़ता है उसी प्रकार मलिन अंतःकरण में ईश्वर के प्रकाश का प्रतिबिम्ब नहीं पड़ता है अर्थात मलिन अंतःकरण में शैतान अथवा असुरों का राज होता है ! अतः ऐसा मनुष्य ईश्वर द्वारा प्रदत्त अनेक दिव्य सिद्धियों एवं निधियों का अधिकारी नहीं बन सकता है !
“जब तक मन में खोट और दिल में पाप है, तब तक बेकार सारे मन्त्र और जाप है !”
सच्चे संतो की वाणी से अमृत बरसता है , आवश्यकता है ,,,उसे आचरण में उतारने की ….
Saint Shri Ramdas was staying in a village to deliver a satsang.
Once a young man came and asked Ramdas ji to take food at his house, then Mahatma ji said, “I do not eat food anywhere else, this is my rule, but that young man became very stubborn and even after explaining repeatedly, he If he did not understand, then Ramdas ji gave his approval to keep his heart!
The next day Mahatma ji went to his house to have food, then that young man put a plate of food, prepared different types of dishes and served it in front of Mahatma ji and then Mahatma ji bowed down to God with folded hands and as soon as Mahatma ji opened his eyes, That young man said to Mahatma ji, O hypocrite, you don’t eat anywhere, then why did you come here and he said a lot of abuses to him, then Mahatma ji left smiling and was thanking Lord Shri Ram again and again!
That smile of Shri Ramdas ji and his thanksgiving to Lord Shri Ram ji was not understood by that young man and again and again that smile of Shri Ramdas ji landed in his chest like an arrow and then the day the story was completed. The young man went to Shri Ramdas ji and started praying for forgiveness, then Mahatma ji immediately forgave him!
The young man said, God, when I spoke such rude words to you that day, why didn’t you reply back? And why were you thanking Ramji?
Hey Vats, there were two reasons, one, my Gurudev had told me that son Ramdas, whenever someone speaks rude words to you, understand your name in reverse, that is, always consider yourself dead, don’t listen to what he says! And even if you listen, you should understand that he is introducing his uncivilized family and when someone in front introduces himself, you should also introduce yourself and behave with a smile and civility in every situation and you have become a saint. If abstinence is the identity of a saint and his family, then you introduce yourself with restraint, don’t lose your temper;
And I was thanking Shri Ram ji because O my Ram, you have saved the rules as well as the Guru’s orders! And today I am leaving your village satisfied and once again express my gratitude to Ramji!
The young man said but why are you expressing gratitude now?
Ramdas ji said son, your heart has changed and my coming to your village has become meaningful and that young man fell at the feet of Saint Shri! Just as the light of Sun God does not fall in a dirty mirror, in the same way the reflection of God’s light does not fall in a dirty heart, that is, devils or demons rule in a dirty heart! Therefore, such a person cannot become the owner of many divine achievements and funds given by God! “As long as there is fault in the mind and sin in the heart, till then all mantras and chants are useless!” Nectar rains from the words of true saints, there is a need to put them into practice.
