हिन्दू धर्म में मान्यताओं के अनुसार मां दुर्गा को शक्ति और पापियों का दमन करने वाली देवी के रुप में दर्शाया गया है। इनके नौं स्वरुप है जिनमें उनके प्रत्येक रुप में प्रत्येक देवी के अलग-अलग वाहन व अलग-अलग अस्त्र- शस्त्र है, पर ऐसा कहा जाता है कि ये सभी एक ही हैं। मां दुर्गा के इन सभी स्वरूपों को दुर्गा कहा जाता है। मां दुर्गा की कृपा अपरंपार है वे सिंह की सवारी करती हैं उनको युद्ध की देवी भी कहा जाता है। प्रस्तुत है मां दुर्गा का आध्यात्मिक महात्म्य-
मां शक्ति-
ऐसी मान्यता है कि देवताओं की राक्षसों से रक्षा करने के लिए मां दुर्गा की उत्तपत्ति हुई। मां दुर्गा के कई नाम होने पर भी दो नाम गौरी और काली मुख्य हैं। देवी गौरी का स्वरूप बेहद सुन्दर और शान्त है, तो वहीं उनका सबसे विकराल रूप है मां काली का।
मान्यताओं के अनुसार गले में नर मुन्डों की माला और हाथों में शस्त्र लिए मां काली एक विकराल रूप में पापियों की बलि लेती है।
हिन्दुओं की प्रमुख देवी हैं मां दुर्गा। वे शक्ति का प्रतीक हैं। हिंदू धर्म की प्रमुख देवी दुर्गा की तुलना परम ब्रह्म से की जाती है।
दुर्गा को युद्ध करने वाली देवी माना गया है। मान्यता है कि वे शान्ति, समृद्धि और धर्म के मार्ग पर भटकने वाले और राक्षसी शक्तियों का नाश करती हैं। यही वजह है कि उन्हें शक्ति की देवी भी माना जाता है।
हिंदू मान्यता के अनुसार मां दुर्गा को भगवान शिव की पत्नी यानी माता पार्वती का ही एक रूप माना जाता है। उपनिषदों में मां दुर्गा को उमा हैमवती यानी हिमालय की पुत्री के रूप में वर्णित किया गया है। वहीं विश्व प्रसिद्ध हिन्दू पुराणों में मां दुर्गा को आदिशक्ति कहा गया है।
भारत के पडोसी देश नेपाल के कई मंदिरों में मां दुर्गा की पूजा की जाती है। हिन्दू धर्म की मान्यताओं के अनुसार हर औरत में मां दुर्गा का वास होता है, साथ ही स्त्रियों और छोटी कन्याओं को सम्मान देने से मां दुर्गा प्रसन्न होती हैं। ।। श्री दुर्गादेव्यै नमो नमः ।।

Mother Shakti- It is believed that Mother Durga was born to protect the gods from demons. Even though Maa Durga has many names, two main names are Gauri and Kali. The form of Goddess Gauri is very beautiful and peaceful, whereas her most terrifying form is that of Maa Kali.
According to beliefs, Mother Kali in a monstrous form with a garland of male glans around her neck and a weapon in her hands sacrifices the sinners.
Mother Durga is the main goddess of Hindus. They are a symbol of power. Durga, the main goddess of Hinduism, is compared to the Supreme Brahma.
Durga is considered the goddess of war. It is believed that she destroys the evil and demonic powers that stray from the path of peace, prosperity and religion. This is the reason why she is also considered the goddess of power.
According to Hindu belief, Mother Durga is considered to be a form of Lord Shiva’s wife i.e. Mother Parvati. In the Upanishads, Mother Durga has been described as Uma Haimavati i.e. the daughter of Himalaya. In the world famous Hindu Puranas, Mother Durga has been called Adishakti.
Mother Durga is worshiped in many temples of India’s neighboring country Nepal. According to the beliefs of Hindu religion, Maa Durga resides in every woman, and by giving respect to women and small girls, Maa Durga is pleased. , Shri Durgadevayai Namo Namah.
