परम पूज्य श्रीसदगुरूदेव भगवान जी की असीम कृपा एवं उनके अमोघ आशीर्वाद से प्राप्त सुबोध के आधार पर, उन्हीं की सत्प्रेरणा से, कल दिनांक १३ मार्च – से प्रारम्भ की गई ”व्यावहारिक नवनिधियाँ” की इस पावन चर्चा में आप सभी आदरणीय महानुभावों एवं विद्वज्जनों का हार्दिक स्वागत एवं अभिनन्दन है।
”व्यावहारिक अष्ट सिद्धियों”, यथा- ”तनसिद्धि”, ”मनसिद्धि”, ”बुद्धिसिद्धि”, ”आत्मसिद्धि”, ”संगसिद्धि”, ”शब्दसिद्धि”, ”धनसिद्धि” तथा “सर्वसिद्धि” या “जीवनसिद्धि” की चर्चा की गई थी।
जब भी ”अष्टसिद्धियों” की बात की जाती है तो तुरन्त ”नव निधियों” की बात भी मन में आ जाती है क्योंकि हममें से प्राय: सभी सनातन धर्मी सगुण-साकार उपासक, श्रीहनुमान चालीसा के पाठकों को, यह बालेने की आदत पड़ी होती है- ”अष्ट सिद्धि नवनिधि के दाता, अस बर दीन्ह जानकी माता।”
जैसे “व्यावहारिक अष्टसिद्धियों” की प्राप्ति, प्रत्येक समझदार व्यक्ति के लिए आवश्यक होती है, वैसे ही व्यावहारिक “नव निधियों” की प्राप्ति भी, हरेक व्यक्ति के लिए और भी अधिक आवश्यक है।
“व्यावहारिक अष्टसिद्धियों” की प्राप्ति में सफलता पाने के लिए “व्यावहारिक नव निधियाँ”, बड़ी ही उपयोगी सिद्ध हुआ करती हैं, क्योंकि उनके सहयोग के बिना व्यावहारिक अष्टसिद्धियों की प्राप्ति में सफलता मिलना कठिन व संदिग्ध रहता है।
”अष्टसिद्धियाँ” और ”नवनिधियाँ” एक- दूसरे के परिपूरक हुआ करते हैं।
निधि का अर्थ –
वस्तुतः ”निधि” का तात्पर्य है- देवताओं में जो धन के देवता कुबेर हैं, उनका वह अनमोल व अपरिमित खजाना, जो देवताओं एवं मानवजाति के लिए अतिशय भौतिक सुख-समृद्धिदायक हुआ करता है।
शास्त्रों में नव- निधियों के नाम हैं:- १. पद्म निधि, २. महापद्म निधि, ३. नील निधि, ४. मुकुंद निधि, ५. नंद निधि, ६. मकर निधि, ७. कच्छप निधि, ८. शंख निधि और ९. खर्व या मिश्र निधि।
विद्वानों और मनीषियों ने अपने- अपने “विवेक” से, शास्त्रों में जिन ”अष्ट सिद्धियों” और ”नव निधियों” का उल्लेख किया है, उन्हें प्राप्त कर पाना, हम जैेसे सामान्य व साधारण लोगों के बस की बात नहीं होती।
परन्तु जो ”व्यावहारिक अष्ट सिद्धियाँ एवं नवनिधियाँ” होती हैं, उनको प्राप्त करने का प्रयास घर-गृहस्थी में रहते हुए, प्रत्येक सामान्य व्यक्ति भी कर सकता है, करना चाहिए तथा उन्हें पाने में सफल भी हुआ जा सकता है।
”व्यावहारिक नवनिधियों” में “पहली निधि” की चर्चा आज प्रस्तुत है, जिसका नाम है –
(१) ”विवेक”-
मनुष्य के जीवन में, उसकी सफलता के लिए, सबसे पहली जिस योग्यता की आवश्यकता होती है- उसका नाम है- ”विवेक”।
बुद्धि के “विवेकशील” हुए बिना, मनुष्य के जीवन की सच्ची सफलता की कल्पना ही नहीं की जा सकती!
”विवेक” ही बताता है कि जीवन की सफलता क्या है और कैसे उसे प्राप्त किया जा सकता है!
मन में उठनेवाली अनन्त कामनाओं तथा उन कामनाओं की पूर्ति हेतु किए जानेवाले अनेक अच्छे-बुरे कर्मों के चक्र में, व्यक्ति दिन-रात फँसता चला जाता है।
उन कामनाओं में तथा उन कामनाओं की पूर्ति हेतु किए जानेवाले प्रयासों में, क्या ठीक है, क्या गलत, क्या न्यायोचित है क्या अनुचित, क्या लाभदायक है क्या हानिकारक और क्या सुखदायक है, क्या दु:खदायक, आदि का निर्णय करने की समझ और क्षमता का नाम है- ”विवेक”।
बड़े बड़े धनीमानी, तथाकथित धार्मिक और अपने अपने विषय और क्षेत्र में उच्चकोटि के विद्वान व उच्च प्रतिष्ठा के पदों पर विराजित व्यक्ति भी, कभी-कभी ”विवेक” के अभाव में बड़े बड़े अपराधों व भ्रष्टाचरण में लिप्त होते चले जाते हैं और अपने “अविवेक” के कारण, नाना प्रकार की झंझटों व कष्टों में फँसकर अपनी, अपने परिवार की, अपने संगी साथियों की तथा समाज की नजर में गिर जाते हैं।
सरकारी, गैर सरकारी, अर्धसरकारी व प्राइवेट संस्थाओं में जो कमिशनखोरी, घूसखोरी, भ्रष्टाचार, नशाखोरी, बेइमानी, धूर्तता, मक्कारी, अय्यासी आदि से लोगों के उत्पीड़न की बुरी आदतें ऊपर से नीचे तक प्रायः सभी लोगों के दिल दिमाग में घर सी कर गई दिखती हैं, उनका मूर्खतापूर्ण कारण है- अधिक से अधिक उस अपार “धनसंपदा” व भोग-ऐश्वर्य का अम्बार जोड़ने का “अविवेक”, जो आगे चलकर उनके लिए, अपने ही परिवार व सम्बन्धियों द्वारा साथ ही सरकार व न्यायालय द्वारा मुसीबत का पहाड़ खड़ा कर देनेवाला, यहाँ तक कि अपहरण, हत्या व आत्महत्या जैसे प्राणघातक दुर्घटनाओं का कारण बनता है।
जिसके पास ”विवेक” नाम की यह पहली “निधि” होती है, वही व्यक्ति अपने जीवन में, पूर्वोक्त ”अष्टसिद्धियाें” की प्राप्ति के प्रयास में, उक्त समस्त बुराइयों से बचने में तथा अन्य जो आठ “नवनिधियाँ” होती हैं, उनकी प्राप्ति में, सफल हो पाता है।
”विवेक” की प्राप्ति के लिए, विवेकी महापुरुषों की ”सत्संगति” आवश्यक है। बिना विवेकवान सत्पुरुषों की “सत्संगति” के आज तक किसी को भी “विवेक” की प्राप्ति हो नहीं पाई है। संत शिरोमणि गोस्वामी तुलसीदासजी महाराज ने इसीलिए जोर देकर कहा है –
”बिनु सत्संग विवेक न होई”।
उपनिषद भी मानव समाज को सलाह दे रही है-
”उत्तिष्ठत्, जागृत् प्राप्य वरान्निबोधत्।
क्षुरस्य धारा निषिता दुरत्यया,
दुर्गं पथं तत्कवयः वदन्ति।।”
अर्थात् – हे मानवो! उठो, जागो और श्रेष्ठ (विवेकी) महापुरुषों के पास जाकर ”विवेकवान” व “आत्मज्ञानी” बनो। अन्यथा इस मानवजीवन को जीना, तेज छुरे की धार पर चलने व लहूलुहान होने जैसा बहुत कष्टकारी है, ऐसा पूर्व महापुरुष बता गये हैं।

On the basis of understanding received from the infinite grace of Param Pujya Shri Sadgurudev Bhagwan ji and with his inspiration, all of you respected great personalities and scholars in this holy discussion on “practical new funds” started from yesterday, 13th March. Warm welcome and greetings.
The ”practical eight perfections”, namely, ”tansiddhi”, ”manasiddhi”, ”buddhisiddhi”, ”atmasiddhi”, ”sangasiddhi”, ”shabdasiddhi”, ”dhanasiddhi’ ‘ and “sarvasiddhi” or “jivansiddhi” was discussed.
Whenever there is talk of “Ashtasiddhis” then immediately the matter of “Nava Nidhis” also comes to mind because almost all of us Sanatan Dharmi Saguna-Sakar worshippers, readers of Shri Hanuman Chalisa, have to say that The habit is inculcated – “The giver of Asht Siddhi Navnidhi, Asbar Dinh Janaki Mata.”
Just as the attainment of “practical Ashtasiddhis” is necessary for every sensible person, similarly the attainment of practical “Nava Nidhis” is even more necessary for every person.
“Practical Nav Nidhis” prove to be very useful for achieving success in achieving “Practical Ashtasiddhis”, because without their cooperation, success in attaining practical Ashtasiddhis remains difficult and doubtful.
“Ashtasiddhis” and “Navnidhis” complement each other.
Meaning of Fund –
Literally, “Nidhi” means – that precious and infinite treasure of Kubera, the god of wealth among the gods, which is very material happiness-prosperity for the gods and mankind.
The names of new funds in the scriptures are:- 1. Padma Nidhi, 2. Mahapadma Nidhi, 3. Neel Nidhi, 4. Mukund Nidhi, 5. Nand Nidhi, 6. Capricorn Fund, 7. Turtle Fund, 8. Conch shell fund and 9. Kharva or Mishra Nidhi.
It is not in the capability of ordinary people like us to attain the “eight achievements” and “nine treasures” which have been mentioned in the scriptures by scholars and sages with their own “discretion”. .
But the “practical Ashta Siddhiyas and Navnidhiyas” which are “practical Ashta Siddhiyas and Navanidhiyas”, while living at home, every normal person can and should try to achieve them and can also be successful in achieving them.
The discussion of “first fund” is presented today in “Practical Navnidhis”, whose name is –
(1) “conscience” means—
In the life of a man, for his success, the first qualification that is required is “conscience”.
Without being “discreet” of the intellect, the true success of human life cannot be imagined!
“Vivek” only tells what is the success of life and how it can be achieved!
A person gets trapped day and night in the cycle of infinite desires arising in the mind and many good and bad deeds done to fulfill those desires.
Understanding and ability to judge what is right, what is wrong, what is just, what is unfair, what is beneficial, what is harmful, what is pleasurable, what is painful, etc. Its name is “Vivek”.
Very wealthy, so-called religious and high-class scholars in their respective subjects and fields, and even persons sitting on positions of high prestige, sometimes in the absence of “discretion” indulge in big crimes and corruption, and Due to “indiscretion”, they fall in the eyes of themselves, their families, their fellow-colleagues and the society by getting entangled in various types of troubles and sufferings.
In government, non-government, semi-government and private organizations, the bad habits of harassment of people by commission, bribery, corruption, drug addiction, dishonesty, cunningness, cunningness, debauchery, etc. seem to have become a home in the hearts and minds of all the people from top to bottom. Yes, their foolish reason is – “indiscretion” to add more and more to that immense “wealth” and enjoyment-aishwarya, which will later create a mountain of trouble for them, by their own family and relatives as well as by the government and the court. The giver even causes fatal accidents like kidnapping, murder and suicide.
One who has this first “fund” named “Vivek”, the same person in his life, in the effort to achieve the above “Ashtasiddhiya”, avoiding all the said evils and others which are the eight “Navnidhis” , in their attainment, becomes successful.
For the attainment of “Vivek”, “Satsangati” of prudent great men is necessary. Till date no one has been able to attain “Vivek” without the “Satsangati” of wise wise men. Saint Shiromani Goswami Tulsidasji Maharaj has therefore insisted –
“Without satsang there is no discretion”.
Upanishads are also giving advice to the human society-
”He got up, woke up, and heard the gifts. The stream of the razor is settled and difficult to cross, The poets call it a difficult path.
Means – O humans! Get up, wake up and become “wise” and “enlightened” by going to the best (wise) great men. Otherwise, living this human life is very painful, like walking on the edge of a sharp knife and bleeding, such great men have been told.
