सत्य सील दृढ़ ध्वजा पताका

   
   भगवान राम विभीषण जी को अपने धर्म रथ के बारे में बताते हुए कहते हैं, कि हे विभीषण! विजय हमेशा धर्म की होती हैं और धर्म के रथ में सत्य की दृढ़ ध्वजा और शील की पताका होती हैं, शील की पताका के लिए सत्य का दंड ध्वज आवश्यक हैं, इसी प्रकार सत्य के साथ इंसान में शील का होना भी आवश्यक हैं। कहते हैं न कि सत्य कड़वा होता हैं, लेकिन जिस प्रकार दवा कड़वी होती हैं फिर भी खाना आवश्यक हैं उसी प्रकार भले ही सत्य कड़वा हो लेकिन सुनना आवश्यक हैं।
    दवा कड़वी हैं तो खाने का उपाय क्या हैं ? वैद्य कहता हैं यदि दवा कड़वी हैं तो उसे शहद के साथ खा लीजिए, बाबा भी यहीं संकेत दें रहें हैं कि सत्य यदि कड़वा हैं तो उसे शील के शहद में मिलाकर खाइये।
     संसार की बात यह हैं कि मैं तो सत्य बोलता हूँ भले ही बुरा लगे, और संत की बात यह हैं कि मैं सत्य को शील से मिलाकर रखता हूं, सत्य बोलूंगा भी और बुरा भी नहीं लगने दूंगा।
   धरममय रथ में सत्य ध्वज हैं और शील पताका और पताका हैं कीरती का प्रतीक –
रघुपति कीरति बिमल पताका।
दंड समान भयउ जस जाका॥
इसलिए चाहते हो कि कीरति रूपी पताका फहराये तो शील की पताका में सत्य का दंड रखिए झंडा ऊंचा रहें हमारा कहने से नहीं होता हैं झंडाऊँचा डंडा की मजबूती से होता हैं,इसलिए ध्वज के साथ पताका मजबूत हो सत्य के साथ आपके स्वभाव में शील हो।

The thing about the world is that I speak the truth even if it feels bad, and the thing about a saint is that I keep the truth mixed with modesty, I will speak the truth and will not let it feel bad.
Truth is the flag in the righteous chariot and modesty is the ensign and the pennant is the symbol of fame –
