नारद उवाच
प्रणम्य शिरसा देवं गौरीपुत्रं विनायकम्।
भक्तावासं स्मरेन्नित्यमायुःकामार्थसिद्धये।।१।।
प्रथमं वक्रतुण्डं च एकदन्तं द्वितीयकम्।
तृतीयं कृष्णपिङ्गाक्षं गजवक्त्रं चतुर्थकम्।।२।।
लम्बोदरं पञ्चमं च षष्ठं विकटमेव च।
सप्तमं विघ्नराजं च धूम्रवर्णं तथाष्टमम्।।३।।
नवमं भालचन्द्रं च दशमं तु विनायकम्।
एकादशं गणपतिं द्वादशं तु गजाननम्।।४।।
द्वादशैतानि नामानि त्रिसन्ध्यं यः पठेन्नरः।
न च विघ्नभयं तस्य सर्वसिद्धिकरं प्रभो।।५।।
विद्यार्थी लभते विद्यां धनार्थी लभते धनम्।
पुत्रार्थी लभते पुत्रान्मोक्षार्थी लभते गतिम्।।६।।
जपेद्गणपतिस्तोत्रं षड्भिर्मासैः फलं लभेत्।
संवत्सरेण सिद्धिं च लभते नात्र संशयः।।७।।
अष्टभ्यो ब्राह्मणेभ्यश्च लिखित्वा यः समर्पयेत्।
तस्य विद्या भवेत्सर्वा गणेशस्य प्रसादतः।।८।।
भावार्थ-
नारदजी बोले- पार्वतीनन्दन देवदेव श्रीगणेश जी को सिर झुकाकर प्रणाम करे और फिर अपनी आयु, कामना और अर्थ की सिद्धि के लिये उन भक्तनिवास का नित्यप्रति स्मरण करे।
पहला वक्रतुण्ड (टेढ़े मुखवाले), दूसरा एकदन्त (एक दाँतवाले), तीसरा कृष्णपिंगाक्ष (काली और भूरी आँखोंवाले), चौथा गजवक्त्र (हाथी के-से मुखवाले)।
पाँचवाँ लम्बोदर (बड़े पेटवाले), छठा विकट (विकराल), सातवाँ विघ्नराजेन्द्र (विघ्नों का शासन करनेवाले राजाधिराज) तथा आठवाँ धूम्रवर्ण (धूसर वर्णवाले)।
नवाँ भालचन्द्र (जिसके ललाट पर चन्द्रमा सुशोभित है), दसवाँ विनायक, ग्यारहवाँ गणपति और बारहवाँ गजानन।
इन बारह नामों का जो पुरुष (प्रातः,मध्याह्न और सायंकाल) तीनों सन्ध्याओं में पाठ करता है, हे प्रभो ! उसे किसी प्रकार के विघ्न का भय नहीं रहता; इस प्रकार का स्मरण सब प्रकार की सिद्धियाँ देनेवाला है।
इससे विद्याभिलाषी विद्या, धनाभिलाषी धन, पुत्रेच्छु पुत्र तथा मुमुक्षु मोक्षगति प्राप्त कर लेता है।
इस गणपति स्तोत्र का जप करे तो छ: मास में इच्छित फल प्राप्त हो जाता है। तथा एक वर्ष में पूर्ण सिद्धि प्राप्त हो जाती है- इसमें किसी प्रकार का सन्देह नहीं है।
जो पुरुष इसे लिखकर आठ ब्राह्मणों को समर्पण करता है, गणेशजी की कृपा से उसे सब प्रकार की विद्या प्राप्त हो जाती है।
।। इति श्रीनारदपुराणे सङ्कटनाशनगणेशस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम् ।।
Narada said I bowed my head to Lord Vinayaka, the son of Gauri. One should always remember the abode of the devotee for the attainment of life, desire and wealth.
The first is Vakratunda and the second is Ekadantha. the third with dark-pink eyes and the fourth with the face of an elephant.
The fifth is long-abdomen and the sixth is wide. The seventh is the king of obstacles and the eighth is the color of smoke.
The ninth Bhalacandra and the tenth Vinayaka. The eleventh Ganesha and the twelfth Gajanana.
He who recites these twelve names for three evenings. He has no fear of obstacles and is the accomplisher of all, O Lord.
The student gets knowledge and the seeker of wealth gets wealth. He who seeks sons obtains sons and he who seeks liberation obtains ultimate goal.
One who chants the Ganapati stotra will obtain the fruits in six months. He attains perfection in a year, there is no doubt about it.
He who writes it down and offers it to the eight Brahmins. By the grace of Lord Ganesha he will attain all knowledge.
gist- Naradji said – Parvatinandan should bow his head to Devdev Shri Ganesh ji and then remember that devotee’s abode daily for the fulfillment of his life, wishes and wealth.
First Vakratunda (crooked mouth), second Ekadanta (one toothed), third Krishnapingaksha (black and brown eyes), fourth Gajavaktra (elephant-like mouth).
the fifth Lambodar (with a large stomach), the sixth Vikata (terrible), the seventh Vighnarajendra (king of obstacles) and the eighth Dhumravarna (gray).
The ninth is Bhalchandra (whose forehead is adorned with the moon), the tenth is Vinayaka, the eleventh is Ganapati and the twelfth is Gajanan.
The person who recites these twelve names in all three evenings (morning, afternoon and evening), O Lord! He has no fear of any kind of obstacle; This type of remembrance gives all kinds of achievements.
From this, the seeker of knowledge attains knowledge, the seeker of wealth attains wealth, the seeker of sons attains sons and the seeker of liberation attains salvation.
If you chant this Ganpati Stotra, you get the desired results within six months. And complete success is achieved in one year – there is no doubt in this.
The person who writes this and dedicates it to eight Brahmins, gets all kinds of knowledge by the grace of Lord Ganesha.
