गणेश मंगलाष्टकम्

गजाननाय गांगेयसहजाय सदात्मने।
गौरीप्रिय तनूजाय गणेशायास्तु मंगलम्।।

नागयज्ञोपवीदाय नतविघ्नविनाशिने।
नंद्यादि गणनाथाय नायकायास्तु मंगलम्।।

इभवक्त्राय चेंद्रादि वंदिताय चिदात्मने।
ईशानप्रेमपात्राय नायकायास्तु मंगलम्।।

सुमुखाय सुशुंडाग्रात्-क्षिप्तामृतघटाय च।
सुरबृंद निषेव्याय चेष्टदायास्तु मंगलम्।।

चतुर्भुजाय चंद्रार्धविलसन्मस्तकाय च।
चरणावनतानंततारणायास्तु मंगलम्।।

वक्रतुंडाय वटवे वन्याय वरदाय च।
विरूपाक्ष सुतायास्तु मंगलम्।।

प्रमोदमोदरूपाय सिद्धिविज्ञानरूपिणे।
प्रकृष्टा पापनाशाय फलदायास्तु मंगलम्।।

मंगलं गणनाथाय मंगलं हरसूनने।
मंगलं विघ्नराजाय विघहर्त्रेस्तु मंगलम्।।

श्लोकाष्टकमिदं पुण्यं मंगलप्रद मादरात्।
पठितव्यं प्रयत्नेन सर्वविघ्ननिवृत्तये।।

O Gajanana, the eternal soul of the Ganges. May all good fortune be upon the son of Lord Ganesha who is dear to Gauri

O serpent sacrifice veil, destroyer of bowed obstacles. May Nandi and other Ganas, the heroes, be blessed.

O like-faced, worshiped by the moon and others, O Self of consciousness. Good luck to the heroine who is the vessel of love for the north

To the beautiful face and to the nectar pot thrown from the tip of the beautiful beard. O host of gods may you be blessed to serve and give pleasure

O four-armed one with a head shining like a half moon May you bow at your feet and be blessed for your infinite salvation.

O curved-beaked banyan tree and bestower of boons to the forest Good luck to your daughter Virupaksha.

O form of joy and delight, in the form of perfection and knowledge. May it be auspicious for the destruction of sins and for the bestower of fruits

Good luck to Gana Natha and good luck to Harsoona. Good luck to the king of obstacles and good luck to the destroyer of obstacles.

This eighth verse is holy and auspicious with respect. It should be read with effort to remove all obstacles.
