व्यासजी सोचते है- भागवत का रहस्य शुकदेवजी जानते है,ऐसा तो मै भी नहीं जानता। कैसा निर्विकार है? मेरा बेटा !! वो भागवत कहेगा और मै सुनूँगा। राजा के कल्याण के हेतु पधारे हुए शुकदेवजी सुवर्ण-सिंहासन पर विराजे।
परीक्षित ने आँखे खोली। और शुकदेवजी को देखते ही सोचा कि-
“मेरा उद्धार करने के लिए इन्हें प्रभु ने भेजा है। अन्यथा मुझ जैसे पापी और विलासी के यहाँ वे नहीं आते। ” परीक्षित ने शुकदेवजी के चरणों में साष्टांग प्रणाम किया। परीक्षित न अपना पाप उन्हें कह सुनाया। “मै अधम हूँ। मेरा उद्धार करो। जिसका मरण नजदीक है उस को क्या करना चाहिए? मनुष्यमात्र का कर्तव्य क्या है? उसे किसका श्रवण,जप,स्मरण और भजन करना चाहिए? गुरुदेव शुकदेवजी का ह्रदय पिघल गया। शिष्य सुयोग्य है। अधिकारी शिष्य मिलने पर गुरु का दिल कहता है कि -उसे अपना सर्वस्व दे दू।
गुरु ब्रह्मनिष्ठ हो और निष्काम भी हो तथा शिष्य प्रभु दर्शन के लिए आतूर हो तो सात दिन तो क्या सात मिनट में प्रभु दर्शन हो सकते है। अन्यथा गुरु लोभी हो और शिष्य लौकिक सुख की इच्छा करता हो तो दोनों नरकवासी होते है। शुकदेवजी कहते है-राजन तू घबराता क्यों है?अभी सात दिन बाकी हैं -मै यहाँ कुछ लेने नहीं देने आया हूँ। मै निरपेक्ष हूँ। मुझे जो आनन्द मिला है और परमात्मा के दर्शन हुए है -वो ही दर्शन तुझे करा ने आया हूँ। मुझे जो मिला है वह तुझे देने आया हूँ। मेरे पिताजी भूख लगने पर एक बार बेर खाते थे। किन्तु इस कृष्ण-कथा में भजनानन्द इतना मिलता है कि मुझे तो बेर भी याद नहीं आते। मेरे पिताजी वस्त्र पहनते थे। प्रभुचिंतन में मेरा वस्त्र कब और कहाँ छूट गया,यह भी मुझे खबर नहीं है। सात दिन में तुझे कृष्ण-दर्शन कराऊँगा। मै बादरायणी(का पुत्र) हूँ। (व्यास-भगवान को बादरायणी कहते है)
शुकदेवजी बादरायण -व्यासजी के पुत्र है। व्यासजी का तप और वैराग्य कैसा था?व्यासजी सारा दिन जप-तप किया करते थे और भूख लगने पर दिन में एक बार बेर खाते थे। केवल बेर का ही आहार करते थे,अतः वे बादरायण कहलाये। ऐसे बादरायण के शुकदेवजी पुत्र है।
जिसमे खूब ज्ञान-वैराग्य हो,वह दूसरे के सुधार सकता है। शुकदेवजी में वे दोनों पूर्णतः थे।
राजन,जो समय बीत गया उसका स्मरण मत करो। भविष्य का विचार भी मत करो। वर्तमान को सुधारो। सात दिन बाकी रहे है। मेरे नारायण का स्मरण करो,तुम्हारा जीवन अवश्य उजागर होगा। लौकिक रस के भोगी को प्रेमरस नहीं मिलता,उसे भक्तिरस कभी भी नहीं मिलता। जिसने काम का त्याग किया वाही रसिक है। जगत का रस कटु है,प्रेमरस ही मधुर है। जो इन्द्रियों के अधीन होता है.उसे काल पकड़ता है। भागवत का वक्ता शुकदेवजी जैसा होना चाहिए। ऐसे प्रथम स्कंध में अधिकार का वर्णन है।
3 July 2023 is Guru Purnima. Many many auspicious wishes for Guru Purnima. Vyasji thinks – Shukdevji knows the secret of Bhagwat, even I do not know this. What kind of viceless is it? My Son !! He will say Bhagwat and I will listen. Shukdevji, who had come for the welfare of the king, sat on the golden-throne.
Parikshit opened his eyes. And on seeing Shukdevji thought that- “He has been sent by the Lord to save me. Otherwise he would not have come to the place of a sinner and a luxuriant like me.” Parikshit prostrated at the feet of Shukdevji. Parikshit did not tell his sin to him. “I am Adham. Save me. What should one do whose death is near? What is the duty of a human being? To whom should one listen, chant, remember and bhajan? Gurudev Shukdevji’s heart melted. The disciple is worthy. Adhikari disciple On meeting the Guru’s heart says – I should give my everything to him. If the Guru is Brahmanishtha and also selfless and the disciple is eager to see the Lord, then the Lord can be seen in seven days or even in seven minutes. Otherwise, if the teacher is greedy and the disciple desires worldly pleasures, then both are residents of hell. Shukdevji says – Rajan, why are you nervous? Seven days are still left – I have not come here to take anything. I am neutral The joy that I have got and the darshan of God – I have come to give you that darshan. I have come to give you what I have got. My father used to eat plum once when he was hungry. But I get so much Bhajananand in this Krishna-Katha that I can’t even remember Ber. My father used to wear clothes. I don’t even know when and where I left my clothes in the thought of God. I will make you see Krishna in seven days. I am the son of Badrayani. (Vyas-God is called Badrayani) Shukdevji is the son of Badrayan-Vyasji. How was Vyasji’s austerity and quietness? Vyasji used to chant and do penance the whole day and used to eat berries once a day when he felt hungry. He used to eat only berries, hence he was called Badrayan. Shukdevji is the son of such Badrayan. The one who has a lot of knowledge and disinterest, he can reform others. Both of them were completely in Shukdevji. Rajan, don’t remember the time that has passed. Don’t even think about the future. improve the present Seven days left. Remember my Narayan, your life will surely be enlightened. The enjoyer of cosmic juice does not get Premaras, he never gets Bhaktiras. The one who has given up work is the lover. The juice of the world is bitter, only the juice of love is sweet. The one who is under the senses. Time catches him. The speaker of Bhagwat should be like Shukdevji. Such rights are described in the first canto.
