कृष्ण का नाम लेते हुए एक गोपी की आँखें बन्द हो गयीं, अश्रुधाराऐं बहने लगीं। कृष्ण ! कृष्ण ! कहते-कहते बेसुध होकर वो कब जमीन पर गिर गयी, उसे मालूम भी न हुआ। इस बेसुधी में कृष्ण कब उसके पास आकर बैठ गये, उसे यह भी पता न चला। थोड़ी देर बाद जब उसकी आँख खुली तो सामने प्रियतम को देखकर हैरान हो गयी। पूछा - "रे कान्हा ! कब आया ?" कृष्ण ने कहा "यह तो पता नहीं कब आया, पर जब से आया, तुझ ही को एक टक देख रहा हूँ।" गोपी कहती "हद हो गयी ! हम तेरा दर्शन करें तो समझ लगती है, तू हमें क्यों देखेगा ?" कृष्ण ने कहा - "मैं तुझे नहीं, तेरे इस प्रेम को रोमांच को देख रहा हूँ। तेरी आँखों से बहती हुई प्रेम की अश्रुधाराओं को देख रहा हूँ। मैं तुझे नहीं, तेरे हृदय में प्रकट हुए इस प्रेम रूपी परमात्मा के दर्शन कर रहा हूँ। अरे गोपी ! ऐसा दर्शन तो मुझे भी दुर्लभ होता है..!!

When did you come?” Krishna said, “I don’t know when it came, but ever since it came, I am seeing you only one tuck.” Gopi would say, “The limit is reached! If we see you, then we understand, why would you see us?” Krishna said – “I am not seeing you, I am seeing the thrill of this love of yours. I am seeing the tears of love flowing from your eyes. I am not seeing you, but I am seeing the divine in your heart manifested in your heart.” Oh Gopi! Such a vision is rare for me too..!!
