सफलताका मूल है-ज्ञान, कर्म और भक्तिका सामंजस्य
भगवान् श्रीकृष्णसे नारदजीने एक बार कौतूहलवश पूछा कि उनका अनन्य भक्त कौन है? श्रीकृष्णने उन्हें एक व्यक्तिका नाम बताया और उससे मिलनेको कहा। नारदने जाकर देखा कि वह एक मोची है। दिनभर जूतोंकी मरम्मत करता है और एकाध बार ही भगवान्का नाम लेता है। नारदको उसमें भक्तके लक्षण नहीं दिखायी दिये। वे लौट आये। तब श्रीकृष्णने उन्हें एक तेलभरा कटोरा दिया और बिना एक बूँद भी छलके उसे कैलासपर भगवान् शिव के पास पहुँचानेका आग्रह किया। नारद जब कटीरा पहुँचा आये तो श्रीकृष्ण उन्हें देखकर मुसकराये।
उन्होंने पूछा- ‘देवर्षि! यहाँसे कैलासतककी यात्रामेंआपने कितनी बार नारायणका नाम लिया ? सच-सचबताइयेगा ?’
नारद बोले- ‘आपने तेलका कटोरा क्या पकड़ा दिया, मेरा सारा ध्यान उसीपर लगा रहा। नारायणका नाम लेने लगता तो तेल छलक जाता और कैलास पहुँचनेतक कटोरे में एक बूँद भी तेल न बचता।’
श्रीकृष्णने कहा- ‘कर्म करते हुए कभी-कभी ईश्वरका स्मरण कर लेना, उसमें सच्ची आस्था रखना और ज्ञानकी दृष्टिसे अपने कर्तव्यका ठीक-ठीक पालन करना ही सर्वश्रेष्ठ भगवद्भक्त बननेके लिये आवश्यक है।’
सड़ककी मरम्मत करनेवाला, पुल या इमारत बनानेवाला, कपड़ा बुनने या सिलाई करनेवाला या अन्य कोई काम करनेवाला यदि यह सोचे कि उसका कार्य देश या समाजकी सेवाका रूप है तो उसे उस काममें अधिक आनन्द आयेगा। देश-समाजकी भक्ति उसमें कामकी दूनी कर देगी। उसकी योग्यता और ज्ञानसे उसके काममें त्रुटिकी सम्भावना नहीं रहेगी। हमारे कर्ममय जीवनमें ज्ञान, भक्ति और कर्म तीनोंका सामंजस्य स्थापित होना चाहिये। इन तीनोंकी एकात्मकता ही सफलता और समस्त सिद्धियोंका मूल है। सफलताका मूल है-ज्ञान, भक्ति और कर्मका सामंजस्य ।
The root of success is the harmony of knowledge, action and devotion.
Naradji once asked Lord Krishna out of curiosity that who is his exclusive devotee? Shri Krishna told him the name of a person and asked him to meet him. Narad went and saw that he was a cobbler. He repairs shoes throughout the day and takes the name of God only once or twice. Narad could not see the signs of a devotee in him. They returned. Then Shri Krishna gave him a bowl full of oil and urged him to take it to Lord Shiva on Kailasa without spilling even a drop. When Narad reached Katira, Shri Krishna smiled seeing him.
He asked – ‘ Devarshi! How many times did you take the name of Narayan in the journey from here to Kailash? Will you tell the truth?’
Narad said – ‘ What did you hold the bowl of oil, all my attention was focused on it. As soon as Narayan’s name was uttered, oil would spill out and by the time it reached Kailas, not even a drop of oil would be left in the bowl.’
Shri Krishna said- ‘It is necessary to remember God sometimes while doing work, to have true faith in Him and to perform one’s duty properly from the point of view of knowledge, to become the best devotee of God.’
A road repairer, a bridge or building builder, a cloth weaver or a tailor or any other worker, if he thinks that his work is a form of service to the country or society, then he will enjoy that work more. Devotion to country and society will double the work in it. With his ability and knowledge, there will be no possibility of error in his work. There should be a harmony of knowledge, devotion and action in our life of action. The oneness of these three is the root of success and all achievements. The root of success is the harmony of knowledge, devotion and action.
