शब्दों में शक्ति-संचार
डॉक्टर हेडगेवारजीके शब्द बड़े सरल होते थे, किंतु ऐसी महान् आत्माओंद्वारा उच्चरित शब्दोंमें अप्रतिकार्य शक्तिका संचार हो जाता है। एक बार डॉ0 श्यामाप्रसादजी मुखर्जी कुछ गम्भीर समस्याओंपर विचार-विमर्शकी इच्छासे डॉक्टरजीसे मिलने आये। उस समय डॉक्टरजी अत्यधिक बीमार थे। वे अधिक बात करनेकी स्थितिमें नहीं थे। अतः तय हुआ कि प्रारम्भिक बातचीत मेरे और डॉ0 मुखर्जीके बीच हो जाय, फिर अन्तिम बात वे डॉक्टरजीसे कर लेंगे। एक लम्बी बहस हुई, फिर भी डॉ॰ मुखर्जी असन्तुष्ट बने रहे। अन्तमें हम डॉक्टरजीके पास गये। डॉक्टरजीने थोड़ेसे शब्दोंमें उत्तर दिया, जिसमें वही अर्थ सन्निहित था, जो मेरेद्वारा दिये गये उत्तरमें। मुझे आश्चर्य हुआ, जब डॉ0 मुखर्जीने कहा कि अब मैं पूर्णतया सन्तुष्ट हूँ।
इस घटनासे मैंने सीखा कि व्यक्तिके चारित्र्य, तपश्चर्या और त्यागकी मात्राके अनुसार ही उसके शब्दोंमें भी शक्तिका समावेश होता है। तर्क, बहस, बुद्धिके चमत्कार इत्यादि सब उस सर्वोच्च शक्तिके समक्ष तुच्छ सिद्ध होते हैं।
ऐसे थे संघके संस्थापक हमारे डॉक्टरजी ! मनुष्यमात्रके जीवन्त हिन्दू आदर्श क्रियासिद्धिः सत्त्वे भवति महतां नोपकरणे’ (महान् व्यक्ति महान् कार्योंकी सिद्धि बाह्य साधनोंसे नहीं अपितु अपनी अन्तर्निहित शक्तिके द्वारा करते हैं) – इस लोकोक्तिकी पूर्ण अभिव्यक्ति- सभी पीढ़ियोंके लिये एक मार्गदर्शक ज्योतिपुंज, जिसके प्रकाशमें वे अपने जीवनको एक गौरवमय अमर राष्ट्रीय जीवनकी उपलब्धिके लिये ढाल सके। [ श्रीमाधव सदाशिवजी गोलवलकर (गुरुजी ) ]

Dr. Hedgewarji’s words were very simple, but words uttered by such great souls carry an irresistible power. Once Dr. Shyamaprasadji Mukherjee came to meet Doctorji with the desire to discuss some serious problems. Doctorji was extremely ill at that time. They were not in a position to talk much. So it was decided that the preliminary talk should be held between me and Dr. Mukherjee, then he would have the final talk with Doctorji. A long debate ensued, yet Dr. Mukherjee remained unsatisfied. At last we went to Doctorji. Doctorji replied in few words, which contained the same meaning as in the answer given by me. I was surprised when Dr. Mukherjee said that now I am completely satisfied.
I learned from this incident that according to the character, penance and sacrifice of a person, his words also contain power. Arguments, debates, miracles of the intellect, etc. all prove insignificant before that supreme power.
Such was the founder of the Sangh, our doctor! The living Hindu ideal of human beings Kriyasiddhi: sattve bhavati mahatan nopkarne’ (Great men do not accomplish great things by external means but by their innate power) – the full expression of this proverb – a guiding light for all generations, in whose light they live their lives as a glorious immortal national life.
