[भज] निताई-गौर राधेश्याम [जप] हरेकृष्ण हरेराम
भक्तों की विदाई
यास्यत्यद्य शकुन्तलेति हृदयं संस्पृष्टमुत्कण्ठया
कठस्तम्भितवाष्पवृत्तिकलुषं चिन्ताजडं दर्शनम।
वैक्लव्यं मम तावदीदृशमपि स्नेहादरण्यौकस:
पीडयन्ते गृहिण: कथं न तनयाविश्लेषदु:खैर्नवै:।।
भक्तों की विदाई का समय समीप आ गया। महाप्रभु अत्यन्त ही स्नेह से, बड़े ही ममत्व से सभी भक्तों से पृथक पृथक एकान्त में मिलने लगे। उनसे उनके मन की बात पूछते, आप अपने मन की बात बताते, उनका आलिंगन करते, उनके हाथ से थोड़ा प्रसाद पा लेते, स्वयं उन्हें अपने हाथ से प्रसाद देते, इस प्रकार भाँति-भाँति से प्रेम प्रदर्शित करके वे सभी भक्तों को सन्तुष्ट करने लगे। सभी भक्तों को यह अनुभव होने लगा कि महाप्रभु जितना अधिक स्नेह हमसे करते हैं, उतना शायद ही किसी दूसरे से करते हों। सभी को इस बात का गर्व सा था कि प्रभु का सर्वापेक्षा हमारे ही ऊपर अत्यधिक अनुराग है। यही तो उनकी महत्ता थी। जिस समय सभी प्राणियों में आत्मभावना हो जाती है, जब सभी अपने प्यारे के स्वरूप दीखने लगते हैं, तब सबको ही हृदय से चिपटा लेने की इच्छा होती है। सभी हृदयवान भावुक भक्त उसे हृदय से प्यार करने लगते हैं, सभी उसे अपना ही आत्मा समझते हैं। उस अवस्था में मोह कहाँ? शोक कैसा? सर्वत्र आनन्द ही आनन्द! जिधर देखो उधर ही शुद्ध प्रेम ही दिखायी पड़ता है। प्रेम में संदेह, ईर्ष्या, डाह और किसी को छोटे समझने के भाव ही नहीं रहते। ऐसे महापुरुष के संसर्ग में रहकर सभी मनुष्य अपनी खोटी वृत्तियों को भुला देते हैं और वे सदा प्रेमासव में छके से रहते हैं।
सबसे पहले प्रभु ने नित्यानन्द जी को बुलाया और उनसे एकान्त में बहुत देर तक बातें करते रहे और उन्हें गौड़-देश में जाकर भगवन्नाम प्रचार करने के लिये राजी किया। आपने उन्हें आज्ञा दी-‘गौड़ देश में जाकर ब्राह्मण से लेकर चाण्डालपर्यन्त सभी को भगवन्नाम का उपदेश करो। ये रामदास, गदाधर आदि बहुत से भक्त तुम्हारे काम में योगदान देंगे। मंगलमय भगवान तुम्हारा कल्याण करें, मैं भी तुम्हें गुप्तरूप से सदा तुम्हारे साथ ही रहूँगा।’ फिर आपने अद्वैताचार्य से कहा- ‘आचार्य ! आप ही हम सब लोगों के श्रेष्ठ, मान्य, गुरु, पूज्य और अग्रणी हैं। आप ऐसा उद्योग सदा करते रहें कि भक्तवृन्द संकीर्तन से विमुख न हो जायँ, इन्हें आप संकीर्तन के लिये सदा प्रोत्साहित करते रहियेगा।’ इसके अनन्तर श्रीवास पण्डित की बारी आयी। प्रभु ने उनसे कहा- ‘पण्डित जी ! आपके ऋण से तो हम कभी उऋण ही नहीं हो सकते। आपने तो हमें सचमुच खरीद लिया है, इसलिये आपके आंगन में जब भी संकीर्तन होगा, उसमें सदा हम गुप्तभाव से अवस्थित रहेंगे और सदा आपके आंगन में नृत्य करते रहेंगे।’
फिर अपने आँखों में आँसू भरकर कहा- ‘पण्डित जी ! उन पूजनीया दु:खिता वृद्धा माता के चरणों में हमारा बार बार प्रणाम कहियेगा। हमने बड़ा भारी अपराध किया है, जो उन्हें अकेली छोड़कर चले आये हैं। हमारी ओर से आप माता से क्षमा-याचना करें और माता से कह दें कि हम सदा उनके बनाये हुए नैवेद्य का भोजन करते हैं। त्योहारों के दिन जब वे हमारी स्मृति करके रोती हैं, तब हम वहाँ जाकर उनके बनाये हुए पदार्थों को खाते हैं। आप उन्हें सान्त्वना प्रदान करें और हमारे शरीर का कुशल-समाचार उन्हें बतावें। हम शीघ्र ही आकर उनके श्रीचरणों का दर्शन करना भगवान का प्रसादान्न माता के लिये दिया। श्रीवास पण्डित ने उन दोनों वस्तुओं को यत्नपूर्वक बाँध लिया।
फिर आपने उदारमना परमभागवत श्रीशिवानन्द सेनजी से बड़े ही स्नेह के स्वर में कहा- ‘सेन महाशय ! आप गृहस्थ होकर भी गृह की कुछ परवा नहीं करते, यह ठीक नहीं। साधु सेवा करनी चाहिये, किन्तु थोड़ा बहुत घर का भी ध्यान रखा करें। जो आता है उसे ही आप उसी समय उड़ा देते हैं। गृहस्थी के लिये थोड़ा धन संचय करने की भी आवश्यकता है।
इसके अनन्तर कुलीन ग्रामवासी रामानन्द तथा सत्यराज खाँको फिर स्मरण दिलाते हुए कहा- ‘प्रतिवर्ष भगवान की सुन्दर सी मजबूत पट्टीडोरी बनाकर लाया करें। प्रतिवर्ष रथयात्रा में भक्तों के सहित सम्मिलित होनी चाहिये।’
फिर आप मालाघर वसु (गुनराज खाँ) की ओर देखकर कहने लगे- ‘वसु महाशय की प्रतिभा का तो कहना ही क्या? बड़े ही सुन्दर कवि हैं। मैंने इनका रचित ‘श्रीकृष्णविजय’ काव्य सुना। वैसे तो सम्पूर्ण काव्य सुन्दर है, किन्तु उसका एक पद तो बड़ा ही सुन्दर लगा। ‘नन्दनन्दन कृष्ण मोर प्राणनाथ!’ अहा, कितना सुन्दर पद है?’ पास बैठे हुए स्वरूपदामोदर से पूछने लगे- ‘यह पूरा पद कैसे है?’
स्वरुपदामोदर धीरे धीरे लय के साथ कहने लगे- ‘एकभावे वन्द हरि जोड़ करि हात। नन्दनन्दन कृष्ण मोर प्राणनाथ।।’
कुछ देर ठहरकर प्रभु कहने लगे- ‘कुलीनग्राम की तो कुछ बात ही दूसरी है, वहाँ के तो सभी पुरुष भक्त हैं। सभी लोगों के सुख से हरिनाम-संकीर्तन की सुमधुर ध्वनि सुनायी देती है, इसलिये उस गाँव का तो कुत्ता भी मेरे लिये वन्दनीय है!’ प्रभु के ऐसा कहने पर कुलीन ग्रामवासी रामानन्द और सत्यराज खाँ आदि वैष्णवों ने लज्जा के कारण सिर नीचा किये हुए ही धीरे धीरे पूछा- ‘प्रभो ! हम गृहस्थों का भी किसी प्रकार उद्धार हो सकता है? हमारा क्या कर्तव्य है, इसे हम जानना चाहते हैं?’
महाप्रभु ने कहा- ‘आप सब जानते हैं, आपसे छिपी ही कौन सी बात है, गृहस्थी में रहकर भजन पूजन कभी हो सकता है। गृहस्थी के लिये तीन ही बात मुख्य हैं- श्रद्धापूर्वक भगवानकी सेवा पूजा करता रहे, मुख से श्रीहरि के मधुर नामों का संकीर्तन करता रहे और अपने द्वार पर जो आ जाय उसकी यथाशक्ति सेवा करे तथा वैष्णव और साधु महात्माओं के चरणों में श्रद्धा रखे।’
सत्यराज ने पूछा- ‘प्रभो! वैष्णव की क्या पहचान है?’
महाप्रभु ने कहा- ‘जिसके मुख में से एक बार भी श्रीकृष्ण का नाम निकल जाय वही वैष्णव है, वैष्णव की यही एक मोटी पहचान है।’
कुलीनग्रामवासियों को सन्तुष्ट करके प्रभु खण्डग्रामवासियों की ओर देखने लगे। उनमें मुकुन्द दत्त, रघुनन्दन ये दोनों पितापुत्र और नरहरि ये ही तीन मुख्य जन थे। मुकुन्ददत्त के पुत्र रघुनन्दनजी थे। असल में रघुनन्द जी ही भगवदभक्त थे, पुत्र के संग से पिता को भक्तिलाभ हुई थी। इसी बात को सोचकर हंसते हुए प्रभु ने उनसे जिज्ञासा कि- ‘भाई ! मैं यह जानना चाहता हूँ कि तुम लोगों में कौन पिता है और कौन पुत्र है?’
प्रभु के ऐसे प्रश्न को सुनकर गम्भीर वाणी में अमानी मुकुन्ददत्त कहने लगे- ‘प्रभो ! यथार्थ में पिता तो रघुनन्दन ही हैं। इस शरीर के सम्बन्ध से मैं इनका पिता भले ही होऊँ, किन्तु मुझे श्रीकृष्ण- भक्ति तो इन्हीं से प्राप्त हुई है। इन्हीं के अनुग्रह से मेरा पुनर्जन्म हुआ है, इसलिये सच्चे तो पिता ये ही है।’
महाप्रभु श्रीमुकुन्ददत्त के ऐसे उत्तर को सुनकर अत्यन्त ही सन्तुष्ट हुए और कहने लगे- ‘मुकुन्द ! आपने यह उत्तर अपने शील स्वभाव के अनुरूप ही दिया है। भगवद्भक्त को भक्ति प्रदान करने वाले महापुरुष में ऐसी ही भावना रखनी चाहिये। फिर चाहे वह अवस्था में, सम्बन्ध में, कुल में, जाति में, विद्या अथवा मान में अपने से छोटा ही क्यों न हो’ इतना कहकर महाप्रभु सभी भक्तों को सुनाकर मुकुन्ददत्त की भक्ति के सम्बन्ध में एक कथा कहने लगे- ‘मुकुन्द की प्रशंसा करने के अनन्तर प्रभु ने कहा- ‘इनकी कृष्णभक्ति बड़ी ही अपूर्व है। इनके वंशज सदा से राजवैद्यपने का कार्य करते आये हैं। ये भी मुसलमान बादशाह के वैद्य हैं। एक दिन ये बादशाह के समीप बैठे थे कि इतने में ही एक नौकर मयूरपिच्छ का पंखा लेकर बादशाह को वायु करने के लिये आया। मोरपंख के दर्शनों से ही इन्हें भगवान के मुकुट का स्मरण हो उठा और ये प्रेम में बेसुध होकर वहीं मूर्च्छित होकर गिर पड़े। बादशाह को बड़ा विस्मय हुआ। तब उसने इनका विविध भाँति से उपचार कराया, होश में आने पर खेद प्रकट करते हुए बादशाह ने कहा- ‘आपको बड़ा कष्ट हुआ होगा?’
इन्होंने अन्यमनस्कभाव से कहा- ‘नहीं महाराज ! मुझे कुछ कष्ट नहीं हुआ।’
तब बादशाह ने पूछा- ‘आपको यकायक यह हो क्या गया?’
इन्होंने अपने भाव को छिपाते हुए कहा- ‘मुझे मृगी का रोग है, सहसा उसका दौरा हो उठा था।’ बादशाह सब समझ तो गया, किन्तु उसने कुछ कहा नहीं। उसी दिन से वह इनका बहुत अधिक आदर करने लगा।
प्रभु के मुख से अपनी ऐसी प्रशंसा सुनकर मुकुन्द कुछ लज्जित से हो गये। तब प्रभु ने उनसे कहा- ‘आप भले ही खूब रुपये पैदा करें, किन्तु रघुनन्दन को सदा कृष्ण-भजन में ही लगे रहने दें। यह तो जन्म से ही भक्त हैं। घोर शीतकाल में यह पुष्करिणी में स्नान करके कदम्ब के फूलों से भगवान की पूजा किया करते थे। यह आपके सम्पूर्ण कुल को तार देंगे।’ इसके अनन्तर महाप्रभु ने मुरारी गुप्त को रामोपासना ही करते रहने का उपदेश किया और सभी भक्तों को उनकी दृढ़ रामनिष्ठा की कहानी कहकर सुनायी। फिर सार्वभौम तथा विद्यावाचस्पति दोनों को कृष्ण-भक्ति करने के लिये कहा।
फिर महाप्रभु वासुदेव दत्त की ओर देखकर कहने लगे- ‘यदि ऐसे भक्त दस बीस भी हों तो संसार का उद्धार हो जाय।’ प्रभु के मुख से अपनी प्रशंसा सुनकर वासुदेव दत्त ने लज्जित होकर अत्यन्त ही दीनभाव से कहा- ‘प्रभो ! मैं आपके चरणों में एक प्रार्थना करना चाहता हूँ। आप तो दयालु हैं। इन जीवों को दु:खी देखकर मेरा हृदय फट जाता है। प्रभो ! मेरी यही प्रार्थना है कि सम्पूर्ण जीवों का पाप मेरे शरीर में आ जाय और सभी के बदले का दु:ख मैं अकेला ही भोग लूँ। यही मेरी हार्दिक इच्छा है, ऐसा ही आप आशीर्वाद दें, आप सब कुछ करने में समर्थ हैं।’
प्रभु उनके इस भूतदया के भाव से अत्यन्त ही सन्तुष्ट हुए। सभी भक्त चलने के लिये उद्यत हुए। मुकुन्द प्रभु के समीप ही रहना चाहते थे इसलिये प्रभु ने उन्हें यमेश्वर में टोटा गोपीनाथ की सेवा करने की आज्ञा प्रदान की। वे वहीं क्षेत्रसंन्यास लेकर सेवा पूजा और कृष्ण कीर्तन करने लगे।
भक्त महाप्रभु को छोड़ना ही नहीं चाहते थे। उनके दिल धड़क रहे थे और वे विवश होकर जाने के लिये तैयार हो रहे थे। महाप्रभु के नेत्रो में जल भरा हुआ था। भक्तगण उच्चस्वर में रुदन कर रहे थे। महाप्रभु सबका अलग अलग आलिंगन करते थे। भक्त उनके पैरों में लोट-लोटकर अपने विरह दु:ख को कुछ कम करते थे। जैसे तैसे अत्यन्त ही दु:ख के साथ भक्तवृन्द गौड़देश के लिये चले। महाप्रभु दूर तक उन्हें पहुँचाने गये। भक्तों को विदा करके प्रभु लौटकर अपने स्थान पर आ गये और पुरी, भारती जगदानन्द, स्वरूपदामोदर, दामोदर पण्डित, काशीश्वर और गोविन्द के साथ आप सुखपूर्वक निवास करने लगे। कुछ गौड़ीय भक्त थोड़े दिनों के लिये प्रभु के पास और ठहर गये थे। उन्हें नित्यानन्द जी के साथ प्रभु ने भगवन्नाम के प्रचारार्थ गौड़-देश में पीछे से भेजा था।

My heart touched with anxiety that if she went to Shakuntala The sight is dull with worry, polluted with stunned vapours. Vaiklavya is my so much affectionate forest dweller: Why are the householders not tormented by the new sorrows of the separation of their daughters
The time of farewell to the devotees has come near. Mahaprabhu started meeting all the devotees separately with great affection and affection. Asking him about his mind, you telling him what you want, hugging him, taking some prasad from his hand, giving him prasad with his own hand, thus showing love in various ways, he began to satisfy all the devotees. . All the devotees began to feel that the more affection Mahaprabhu has for us, the more he rarely does for anyone else. Everyone was proud of the fact that above all the Lord had great affection for us. This was his importance. At the time when all the creatures become self-conscious, when everyone starts seeing the form of their beloved, then there is a desire to hug everyone from the heart. All the heartfelt passionate devotees start loving him from their heart, all consider him as their own soul. Where is the attachment in that state? How are you mourning? Happiness everywhere! Wherever you look there is only pure love. In love, there is no doubt, jealousy, envy and feelings of considering someone small. Being in the company of such a great man, all human beings forget their wrong instincts and they always live in love.
First of all, the Lord called Nityanand ji and kept talking to him in solitude for a long time and persuaded him to go to Gaudesh and preach the Lord’s name. You ordered them – ‘ Go to Gaud country and preach the name of God to everyone from Brahmins to Chandals. Many devotees like Ramdas, Gadadhar etc. will contribute to your work. May the auspicious God bless you, I will always be with you secretly.’ Then you said to Advaitacharya – ‘Acharya! You are the best, respected, teacher, worshiped and pioneer of all of us. You should always do such an industry that the devotees do not get distracted from Sankirtan, you will always encourage them for Sankirtan.’ After this, the turn of Shrivas Pandit came. The Lord said to him – ‘Pandit ji! We can never be in debt with your debt. You have really bought us, so whenever there is sankirtan in your courtyard, we will always remain hidden in it and will always dance in your courtyard.’
Then with tears in his eyes he said – ‘Pandit ji! Say our obeisances again and again at the feet of that venerable sad old mother. We have committed a heinous crime by leaving them alone. Apologize to the mother on our behalf and tell the mother that we always eat the food offered by her. On festivals, when she cries remembering us, we go there and eat the food prepared by her. You console them and tell them the good news of our body. We came soon to have darshan of his holy feet and gave God’s offerings to the mother. Shrivas Pandita painstakingly tied those two things.
Then you said in a voice of great affection to Udarmana Param Bhagwat Shri Shivanand Senji – ‘Sen sir! Despite being a householder, you don’t care about your home, this is not right. Saints should do service, but take care of the house a little too. Whatever comes, you blow it at the same time. There is also a need to save some money for the household.
After this, while reminding the elite villagers Ramanand and Satyaraj Khan again, said- ‘Every year make a beautiful strong belt of God and bring it. Every year the Rath Yatra should be included along with the devotees.
Then you looked at Malaghar Vasu (Gunraj Khan) and said- ‘What to say about the talent of Vasu sir? He is a very beautiful poet. I heard the poem ‘Shri Krishnavijay’ composed by him. Although the whole poem is beautiful, but I found one verse of it very beautiful. ‘Nandnandan Krishna Mor Prannath!’ Oh, what a beautiful verse it is?
Swarupadamodar started saying slowly with rhythm – ‘ Ekbhawe vand Hari jod kari haat. Nandanandan Krishna Mor Prannath.
After stopping for some time, the Lord said – ‘It is a different thing about Kulingram, all the men there are devotees. The melodious sound of Harinam-Sankirtan is heard for the happiness of all people, so even the dog of that village is worshipable for me! Slowly asked – ‘ Lord! Can we householders also be saved in any way? We want to know what is our duty?
Mahaprabhu said- ‘You all know, what is hidden from you, Bhajan worship can be done at any time by staying at home. Only three things are important for a householder – keep worshiping God with devotion, keep chanting the sweet names of Sri Hari with your mouth and serve whoever comes to your door to the best of your ability and have faith in the feet of Vaishnava and Sadhu Mahatmas.
Satyaraj asked – ‘ Lord! What is the identity of Vaishnav?
Mahaprabhu said- ‘Whoever utters the name of Shri Krishna even once is a Vaishnava, this is the main identity of a Vaishnava.’
After satisfying the residents of Kulingram, the Lord started looking towards the residents of Khandgram. Among them, Mukund Dutt, Raghunandan, both father and son and Narhari were the three main people. Raghunandanji was the son of Mukundatta. Actually, Raghunand ji was a devotee of Bhagavad, the father got devotion from the company of his son. Laughing thinking about this, the Lord inquired from him- ‘Brother! I want to know who among you is the father and who is the son?’
Hearing such a question of the Lord, Amani Mukundadatta started saying in a serious voice – ‘Lord! In reality, the father is Raghunandan only. I may be his father in relation to this body, but I have received devotion to Shri Krishna from him only. I have been reborn by his grace, that’s why he is the real father.’
Mahaprabhu was extremely satisfied after hearing such an answer from Srimukundadatta and said – ‘Mukunda! You have given this answer according to your modesty. Such a feeling should be kept in the great man who gives devotion to the devotee of Bhagavad. Even if he is smaller than himself in status, relation, clan, caste, education or respect, saying this, Mahaprabhu told all the devotees a story regarding the devotion of Mukundadatta – ‘To praise Mukund After that, the Lord said- ‘His devotion to Krishna is very unique. His descendants have always been doing the work of royal medicine. He is also the physician of the Muslim king. One day he was sitting near the king when a servant came with a peacock fan to fan the king. Seeing the peacock feathers, he remembered the crown of God and he fainted in love and fell down there. The king was very surprised. Then he got them treated in various ways, expressing regret on regaining consciousness, the king said- ‘You must have suffered a lot?’
He said with a different mind – ‘ No Maharaj! I didn’t feel any pain.’
Then the king asked – ‘What happened to you all of a sudden?’
Hiding his feelings, he said- ‘I have epilepsy, he suddenly had a seizure.’ The king understood everything, but he did not say anything. From that day he started respecting him a lot.
Mukund felt somewhat ashamed after hearing such praise from the Lord. Then the Lord said to him- ‘You may generate a lot of money, but let Raghunandan always be engaged in Krishna-bhajan. He is a devotee since birth. In severe winter, he used to bathe in Pushkarini and worship God with Kadamba flowers. It will wire your entire clan.’ After this, Mahaprabhu exhorted Murari Gupta to continue worshiping Ram and narrated the story of his firm devotion to Ram to all the devotees. Then asked both Sarvabhaum and Vidyavachaspati to do Krishna-bhakti.
Then Mahaprabhu looked at Vasudev Dutt and said – ‘If there are ten or twenty such devotees then the world can be saved.’ Vasudev Dutt felt ashamed after hearing his praise from the mouth of the Lord – ‘Lord! I want to offer a prayer at your feet. You are kind. It breaks my heart to see these living beings sad. Lord! It is my prayer that the sins of all the living beings come in my body and I alone suffer the sorrow of revenge for all. This is my heartfelt wish, bless you like this, you are capable of doing everything.
The Lord was extremely satisfied with his sense of mercy. All the devotees got ready to walk. Mukund wanted to stay close to GOD, so GOD ordered him to serve Tota Gopinath in Yameshwar. He took Kshetra Sannyas there and started doing Seva Puja and Krishna Kirtan.
The devotees did not want to leave Mahaprabhu at all. Their hearts were beating and they were getting ready to leave. Mahaprabhu’s eyes were full of water. The devotees were crying loudly. Mahaprabhu used to hug everyone separately. Devotees used to reduce their sorrow of separation by rolling at his feet. Somehow the devotees left for Goddesh with great sorrow. Mahaprabhu went to reach far away. After seeing off the devotees, the Lord returned to His abode and started living happily with Puri, Bharati Jagadanand, Swarupadamodar, Damodar Pandita, Kashishwar and Govind. Some Gaudiya devotees stayed with the Lord for a few days. He was sent by the Lord along with Nityanand ji from behind in Gaud-desh for the promotion of God’s name.
