[भज] निताई-गौर राधेश्याम [जप] हरेकृष्ण हरेराम
विष्णुप्रिया जी को संन्यासी स्वामी के दर्शन
पाणिग्राहस्य साध्वी स्त्री जीवतो वा मृतस्य वा।
पतिलोकमभीप्सन्ती नाचरेत्किंचिदप्रियम्।।
मेरा अपना ऐसा विश्वास है और शास्त्रों का भी यही सिद्धांत है कि यह संसार ए कान्तवासी तपस्वी महापुरुषों के पुण्य से तथा पतिव्रताओं के पातिव्रत के प्रभाव से ही स्थित है। शास्त्रों का भी यही अभिमत है कि संसार धर्म पर ही स्थित है और स्त्री-पुरुषों के लिये संसारी भोग्य-पदार्थों की आसक्ति छोड़कर प्रभु से प्रेम करना या मन, वचन तथा कर्म से पातिव्रत धर्म का पालन करना यही परमधर्म बताया गया है। तपस्वी को मान-सम्मान की इच्छा पीछे से हो सकती है, भगवद्भक्ति भी प्रसिद्धि के लिये की जा सकती है, किन्तु पतिव्रता को तो संसार से कुछ मतलब ही नहीं। वह तो मालती-कुसुम की भाँति निर्जन प्रदेश में विकसित होती है और अपने प्यारे को प्रसन्न कर के अन्त में मुरझाकर वहीं जीर्ण-शीर्ण हो जाती है, उस की गुप्त सुगन्धि संसार में व्याप्त होकर लोगों का कल्याण अवश्य करती है, किन्तु इसे तो कोई परम विवे की पुरुष ही समझ सकता है। सर्वसाधारण लोगों को तो उसके अस्तित्व का भी पता नहीं। इसीलिये कहता हूँ, पातिव्रत-धर्म योग, यज्ञ, तप, पाठ-पूजा और अन्य सभी साधनों से परमश्रेष्ठ है। एक सच्ची पतिव्रता सम्पूर्ण संसार को हिला सकती है, किन्तु ऐसी पतिव्रता बहुत थोड़ी होती हैं।
पाठकवृन्द! विष्णप्रिया जी की मनोव्यथा को समझें। इस अल्प वयस् में उन्हें अपने प्राणेश्वर की असह्य विरह-वेदना सहनी पड़ रही है। उन के प्राणेश्वर भक्तों के लिये भगवान हैं। वे जीवों का उद्धार भी करते हैं। असंख्य जीव उन की कृपा से संसार-सागर से पार हो गये। भक्तों के लिये वे साक्षात नारायण हैं। हुआ करें, उन के लिये तो वे उन के पति-हृदयरमण पति ही हैं। वे उन के पास स्थूल शरीर से नहीं हैं तो न सही, उन के हृदय में तो पति की मूर्ति सदा विराजमान है, वे पति को छोड़कर और किसी का चिन्तन ही नहीं करतीं! अहा, धन्य है उन की एकनिष्ठ पतिभक्ति को।
विष्णुप्रिया जी की आन्तरिक इच्छा थी कि एक बार इस जीवन में अपने आराध्यदेव के प्रत्यक्ष दर्शन और हो जायँ, किन्तु वे अपनी इच्छा को प्रकट किस प्रकार करतीं और किस के सामने प्रकट करतीं? यदि किसी से कहतीं भी तो वे स्वतंत्र ईश्वर हैं, किसी की बात मानने ही क्यों लगे ? इसलिये अपने मनोगत भावों को हृदय में ही दबाकर वे अपने इष्टदेव के चरणों में ही मन से प्रार्थना करने लगीं। वे प्रेमाकर्षण पर विश्वास रखती हुई कहने लगीं- ‘वे तो मेरे घट की एक-एक बात को जानने वाले हैं, मेरा यदि सच्चा प्रेम होगा तो वे यहीं मुझे दर्शन देने आ जायँगे।’ यही सोचकर वे चुपचाप बैठी रहीं। सचमुच प्रेम में बड़ा भारी आकर्षण है। हृदय में लगन होनी चाहिये, प्यारे के प्रति पूर्ण विश्वास हो, हृदय उस के लिये छटपटाता हो और स्नेह सच्चा हो तो फिर मिलने में सन्देह ही क्या है ?
जा पर जाकर सत्य स नेहु। सो तेहि मिलइ न कछु संदेहु।।
मन कोई दस-बीस तो है ही नहीं। अग्नि के समान सर्वत्र मन एक ही है। पात्र-भेद से मन वैसा ही गंदा और निर्मल बन जाता है। यदि दो मन निर्मल और पवित्र बन जायँ तो शरीर चाहे कहीं भी पड़े रहें, दोनों के मनोगत भावों को दोनों ही लाख कोस पर बैठे हुए भी समझने में समर्थ हो सकते हैं। शान्तिपुर में बैठे हुए प्रभु को भी विष्णुप्रिया जी का बेतार का तार मिल गया। प्रभु मानो उन्हीं को कृतार्थ कर ने नवद्वीप जा ने की इच्छा से अद्वैताचार्य से विदा लेकर विद्यानगर की ओर चल पड़े। वहाँ पहुँचकर प्रभु सार्वभौम भट्टाचार्य भाई वाचस्पति के घर पर ठहरे। लोगों की अपार भीड़ प्रभु के दर्शनों के लिये आ ने लगी। जो भी सुनता वही नाव से, घड़ो से तथा हाथों से तैरकर गंगा जी को पार कर के विद्यासागर प्रभु के दर्शनों के लिये चल देता। उस समय दोनों घाटों पर नरमुण्ड-ही-नरमुण्ड दिखायी देते। प्रभु के वहाँ पहुँच ने से एक प्रकार का मेला-सा लग गया। गंगा जी के झाउओं का जंगल मनुष्यों के पदाघात से चूर्ण होकर सुन्दर राजपथ बन गया। लोग महाप्रभु की जय-जयकार करते हुए महान कोलाहल करते और प्रभु-दर्शनों की अपनी आकुलता को प्रकट करते।
महाप्रभु इस भीड़-भाड़ और कोलाहल से उबकर दो-चार भक्तों के साथ धीरे से मनुष्यों की दृष्टि बचाते हुए विद्यानगर से कुलिया के लिये चले गये।
प्रभु के दर्शन न पा ने से लोग वाचस्पति पण्डित को कोस ने लगे। उन्हें भाँति-भाँति की उलटी-सीधी बातें सुना ने लगे। अन्त में जब उन्हें पता चला कि प्रभु तो यहाँ से चुप के ही निकल गये, तब तो उन के दुःख का ठिकाना नहीं रहा, वे सभी प्रभु के विरह में जोरों से रुदन करने लगे। इतने में ही एक ब्राह्मण ने आकर समाचार दिया कि प्रभु तो कुलिया पहुँच गये। तब वाचस्पति उस अपार भीड़ के अग्रणी बनकर कुलिया की ही ओर चले। कुलिया पहुँचकर लोगों ने प्रभुदर्शनों की अपनी व्यग्रता प्रकट की, तब प्रभु ने छत पर चढ़कर अपने दर्शनों से लोगों को कृतार्थ किया। बहुत- से लोग प्रभु के दर्शनों से अपने को धन्य मानते हुए अपने-अपने स्थानों को लौट गये, किन्तु जित ने लोग जाते थे, उतने ही और भी बढ़ जाते थे, सायंकाल तक यही दृश्य रहा।
प्रभु के ऐसे लोकव्यापी प्रभाव को देखकर पहले जिन्होंने इन से द्वेष किया था, वे सभी अपने पूर्व-कृत्यों पर पश्चात्ताप प्रकट करते हुए प्रभु की शरण में आये और अपने-अपने अपराधों के लिये उनसे क्षमा चाही। विरोधियों के हृदय प्रभु के संन्यास को देखते ही नवनीत के समान कोमल हो गये थे। प्रेम का त्याग ही तो भूषण है। त्या के बिना प्रेम प्रस्फटित होता ही नहीं। संग्रही और परिग्रही के जीवन में प्रेम किस प्रकार उत्पन्न हो सकता है, प्रभु के प्रेम के प्रभाव से उन पापकर्म वाले निन्द कों के हृदयों में भी प्रेम की तरंगें हिलोरें मारने लगीं। सब से पहले तो विद्यानगर के परम भागवती पण्डित देवानन्द जी प्रभु के शरणापन्न हुए और उन्होंने अपने ही अपराध-भंजन की याचना नहीं की, किन्तु प्रभु से यह वचन ले लिया कि यहाँ आकर जो कोई भी आप से अपने पूर्वकृत अपराधों के लिये क्षमा-याचना करेगा, उसे आप कृपापूर्वक क्षमा-दान दे देंगे। महाप्रभु के विशाल हृदय में किसी के पूर्वकृत अपराधों का स्मरण ही नहीं था, वे महापुरुष थे। वे संसारी लोगों के स्वभाव से विवश होकर कहे हुए वचनों का बुरा ही क्यों मान ने लगे ? वे तो जानते थे- ‘सदृशं चेष्टते स्वस्याः प्रकृतेर्ज्ञानवानपि’ ज्ञान पुरुष भी अपनी प्रकृति के अनुसार ही सभी चेष्टाएँ करता है, इसलिये किसी की कैसी भी बात को बुरा न मानना चाहिये। फिर भी उन्हों ने देवानन्द जी की प्रसन्नता के निमित्त अ पराध-भंजन की स्वीकृति दे दी। सभी ने प्रभु के चरणों में आत्म-समर्पण किया और प्रभु ने उन्हें गले से लगाया।
प्रभु के छोटे-बड़े सभी भक्त तथा भक्तों की स्त्रियां-बच्चे यहाँ कुलिया में आकर उन के दर्शन कर गये थे। शचीमाता शान्तिपुर में ही मिल आयी थीं। कोई भी भक्त प्रभुदर्शनों से वंचित नहीं रहा। महाप्रभु पांच-सात दिन कुलिया में ठहरे। इतने दिनों तक कुलिया में मेला-सा ही लगा रहा। इतने पर भी एकान्त में प्रभु का चिन्तन करती हुई विष्णुप्रिया जी अपने घर के भीतर ही बैठी रहीं। वे एक सती-साध्वी कुलवधू की भाँति घर से बाहर नहीं निकलीं, मानों उन्हीं को अप ने दर्शनों से कृतार्थ कर ने के निमित्त प्रभु ने नवद्वीप जा ने की इच्छा प्रकट की। भक्तों के आनन्द का ठिकाना नहीं रहा। उसी समय नौ का मंगायी गयी और प्रभु अपने दस-पांच अन्तरंग भक्तों के साथ गंगापार कर के नवद्वीप घाट पर पहुँचे। घाट की सीढियों पर चढ़कर प्रभु शुक्लाम्बर ब्रह्मचारी की कुटिया पर पहुँचे। ब्रह्मचारी जी अप ने भाग्य की भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा करते हुए प्रभु के पैरों में लोट-पोट हो ने लगे। क्षणभर में ही यह समाचार सम्पूर्ण नगर में फैल गया। लोग चारों ओर से आ-आकर प्रभु के दर्शनों से अपने को कृतार्थ मान ने लगे। समाचार पाते ही शचीमाता भी जै से बैठी थीं, वै से ही दौड़ी आयीं। प्रभु ने माता की चरण-वन्दना की। माता अप ने अश्रुओं से प्रभु के वस्त्रों को भिगो ने लगी। प्रभु चुपचाप खड़े कुछ सोच रहे थे, किसी की कुछ कहने की हिम्मत नहीं हुई। तब प्रभु पैरों में खड़ाऊं पहने धीरे-धीरे शचीमाता के साथ घर की ओर चल ने लगे। एक-एक करके उन्हें सभी बातें स्मरण हो ने लगीं। पांच-छः वर्ष पूर्व जिस घाट पर वे स्नान करते थे वह घाट इतने आदमियों के रहने पर भी सूना-सा प्रतीत हुआ। सभी पूर्व- परिचित वृक्ष हिल-हिलकर मानो प्रभु का स्वागत कर रहे हों। वे ही भवन, वे ही अट्टालिकाएं, वे ही प्राचीन पथ, वे ही देवस्थान प्रभु की स्मृति को फिर से नूतन बना ने लगे।
महाप्रभु नीची निगाह किये हुए आगे-आगे जा रहे थे। पीछे से लोगों की अपार भीड़ हरिध्वनि करती हुई आ रही थी। घर के साम ने आकर प्रभु खड़े हो गये। विष्णुप्रिया जी का दिल धड़क ने लगा। वे अप ने प्रेम के इतने भारी वेग को सहन करने में समर्थ न हो सकीं। झरोखे में से उन्हों ने अपने जीवनसर्वस्व की झांकी की। सिर मुंड़े हुए और गेरूए वस्त्र धारण किये प्रभु को विष्णुप्रिया जी ने अभी सर्वप्रथम देखा है। उनके प्रकाशमान चेहरे को देखकर विष्णुप्रिया जी चित्र में लिखी मूर्ति के ही समान बन गयीं। उनके नेत्रों में से निकलने वाले निरन्तर के अश्रुकण ही उन की सजीवकता का समर्थन कर रहे थे।
विष्णुप्रिया जी की इच्छा अपने प्राणेश के पाद-पद्यों में प्रणत होकर कुछ प्रार्थना करने की थी, किन्तु इतनी अपार भीड़ में कुल-वधू बाहर कै से जाय, यही सोचकर वे दुविधा में पड़ गयीं। फिर उन्हों ने सोचा, जब वे यहाँ तक आये हैं, संन्यासी होकर भी उन्होंने इतनी अनुकम्पा की है, तब मुझे बाहर जाने में अब क्या लाज? लोक-लाज सब इन्हीं के चरणों की प्राप्ति के ही निमित्त तो हैं, जब ये चरण साक्षात सम्मुख ही उपस्थित हैं, तब इन के स्पर्श-सुख से अप ने को वंचित क्यों रखूं? यह सोचकर विष्णुप्रिया जी जैसे बैठी थीं वैसे ही प्रभु के पादपद्यों का स्पर्श कर ने चलीं।
उन्होंने वेणी बांधना बन्द कर दिया था, शरीर के सभी अंगों के आभूषण उतार दिये थे, आहार भी बहुत ही कम कर दिया था। नित्य के कम आहार से उनका शरीर क्षीण हो गया था। वे निरन्तर प्रभु का ही ध्यान किया करती थीं।
प्रभु-दर्शनों की लालसा से क्षीण काय, मलिनवसना विष्णुप्रिया जी अपने सम्पूर्ण शरीर को संकुचित बनाती हुई जल्दी से प्रभु की ओर चलीं। प्रभु दृष्टि उठाकर किसी की ओर नहीं देखते थे, वे पृथ्वी की ही ओर खड़े-खड़े ताक रहे थे। उसी समय उन्होंने देखा, मलिन वस्त्र पहने एक स्त्री उन के चरणों में आकर गिर पड़ी। स्त्री-स्पर्श से भयभीत होकर प्रभु दो कदम पीछे हट गये। विष्णुप्रिया जी सुबकियां भर-भरकर धीरे-धीरे रुदन कर ने लगीं। प्रभु ने भर्राई हुई आवाज में पूछा- ‘तुम कौन हो?’
हाय रे वैराग्य! तेरी ऐसी कठोरता को बार-बार धिक्कार है, जो अप ने शरीर का आधा अंग कही जाती है, जिस के लिये स्वामी को छोड़कर दूसरा कोई है ही नहीं, उसी का निर्दयी स्वामी, उस के जीवन का सर्वस्व, उस का इष्टदेव उस से पूछता है-‘ तुम कौन हो?’ आ काश! तू गिर क्यों नहीं पड़ता? पृथ्वी! तू फट क्यों नहीं जाती? विष्णुप्रिया जी चुप नहीं, सोचा, कोई दूसरा ही मेरा परिचय करा दे, किन्तु दूसरे किस की हिम्मत थी? सभी की वाणी बंद हो गयी थी। इतनी भारी भीड़ उस समय बिलकुल शान्त हो गयी थी, चारों ओर सन्नाटा छाया हुआ था। विष्णुप्रिया जी ने जब देखा, कोई भी कुछ नहीं कहता, तब वे स्वयं ही धीरे-धीरे करूण-स्वर में कह ने लगीं- ‘मैं आप के चरणों की अत्यन्त ही क्षुद्र दासी हूँ!’
महाप्रभु को अब चेत हुआ, उन्होंने कुछ ठहरकर कहा- ‘तुम क्या चाहते हो।’ अत्यन्त ही कातरवाणी में उन्होंने कहा- ‘मैं आपकी कृपा चाहती हूँ।’ प्रभु ने नीची दृष्टि किये हुए कहा- ‘विष्णुप्रिये! तुम अप ने नाम को सार्थक करो। संसार में विष्णु-भक्ति ही सार है, उसी को प्राप्त कर के इस जीवन को सफल बनाओ।’ रोते-रोते विष्णुप्रिया जी ने कहा- ‘आप के अतिरिक्त कोई दूसरे विष्णु हैं, इस बात को मैं नहीं जानती, और जान नेकी इच्छा भी नहीं हैं। मेरे तो विष्णु, कृष्ण, शिव जो भी कुछ हैं आप ही हैं। आपके चरणों के अतिरिक्त मुझे कोई दूसरा आश्रय नहीं।’ इन हृदय विदारक वचनों को सुनकर वहाँ खड़े हुए सभी स्त्री-पुरुषों का हृदय फट ने लगा। सभी के नेत्रों से जल-धारा बह ने लगी।
विष्णुप्रिया जी ने फिर कहा- ‘प्रभो! सुना है, आप जगत का उद्धार करते हैं, फिर अभागिनी विष्णुप्रिया को जगत से बाहर क्यों निकाल दिया गया हैं, इस के उद्धार की बारी क्यों नहीं आती?’ प्रभु ने कहा-‘तुम्हारी क्या अभिलाषा है?’ सुबकियाँ भरते हुए ठहर-ठहरकर विष्णुप्रिया जी ने कहा- ‘मुझे जीवन-यापन कर ने के लिये कुछ आधार मिलना चाहिये। आपके चरणों में यह कंगालिनी भिखारिणी उसी की भीख मांगती है।’
थोड़ी देर सोचकर प्रभु ने अपने पैरों के दोनों खड़ाउओं को उतारते हुए कहा- ‘देवि! हम संन्यासियों के पास तुम्हें देने के लिये और है ही क्या? यह लो तुम इन पादुकाओं के ही सहारे अपने जीवन को बिताओ।’
इतने सुनते ही विष्णुप्रिया जी ने धूलि में सने हुए अप ने मस्तक को ऊपर उठाया और कांपती हुई उँगलियों से उन दोनों खड़ाउओं को सिर पर चढ़ाकर वे रुदन कर ने लगीं। उस समय जनसमूह में हाहाकर मच गया, सभी चीत्कार मारकर रुदन कर ने लगें।
प्रभु उसी समय माता को प्रणाम कर के लौट पड़े। माता अपने प्यारे पुत्र को जाते देखकर मूर्च्छित हो पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़ी, प्रभु पीछे की ओर बिना देखे हुए ही जल्दी से भीड़ को चीरते हुए आगे को चल ने लगे। बहुत- से भक्त जल्दी से आगे चलकर लोगों को हटा ने लगे। इस प्रकार थोड़ी देर ही नवद्वीप में ठहरकर प्रभु नाव से उस पार पहुँच गये और वृन्दावन जाने की इच्छा से गंगा जी के किनारे-किनारे ही आगे की ओर चलने लगे। सैकड़ों मनुष्य घर-बार की कुछ भी परवा न कर के उसी समय प्रभु के साथ-ही-साथ वृन्दावन जा ने की इच्छा से उन के पीछे-पीछे चलने लगे। इस प्रकार तुमुल-हरिध्वनि करते हुए सागर के समान वह अपार भीड़ प्रभु के पथ का अनुसरण करने लगी।

A virtuous woman is the one who takes the hand of a man alive or dead She who desires the world of her husband should not do anything unpleasant.
I have such a belief and the scriptures also have the same principle that this world, the resident of Kant, is established only by the virtue of great men of asceticism and by the effect of Pativrata of Pativratas. The scriptures also have the same opinion that the world is based on religion and for men and women, giving up attachment to worldly enjoyments and loving the Lord or following the virtuous religion with mind, words and deeds, this is said to be the supreme religion. An ascetic may have a desire for respect from behind, devotion to God can also be done for fame, but a devotee has nothing to do with the world. It grows in a desolate region like Malati-Kusum, and after pleasing its beloved, it withers and becomes dilapidated there, its secret fragrance pervades the world and does welfare of the people, but no one knows it. Only a man can understand Param Vive. Common people do not even know of its existence. That’s why I say, Pativrata-Dharma is the best of Yoga, Yagya, Tapa, recitation-worship and all other means. One true devotion can shake the whole world, but such devotion is very few.
Readership! Understand the pain of Vishnapriya ji. In this young age, he has to bear the unbearable pain of separation from his Praneshwar. His Praneshwar is God for the devotees. He also uplifts the living beings. Innumerable creatures crossed the world-ocean by his grace. He is the real Narayan for the devotees. No matter what happens, for them he is their husband-heartwarming husband. If he is not with her from the physical body, then it is not right, the idol of her husband always resides in her heart, she does not think about anyone else except her husband! Ah, blessed are their single-minded devotion to their husbands.
Vishnupriya ji had an inner desire to have a direct darshan of her deity once in this life, but how would she express her wish and to whom would she express it? Even if she tells someone that she is an independent God, why should she start listening to someone? That’s why by suppressing her occult feelings in her heart, she started praying at the feet of her presiding deity. Believing in love attraction, she started saying- ‘He is the one who knows every single thing about me, if I have true love, he will come here to visit me.’ Thinking this, she sat silently. There is really a huge attraction in love. There should be passion in the heart, there should be complete faith in the beloved, if the heart yearns for him and if the affection is true, then what is the doubt in meeting?
Satya Sa Nehu after going on. So that’s why I don’t get any doubt.
The mind is not ten or twenty at all. Like fire, the mind is the same everywhere. The mind becomes dirty and pure in the same way by character-distinction. If two minds become pure and pure, then no matter where the body is lying, both can be able to understand the hidden feelings of both even while sitting on a million miles. Prabhu sitting in Shantipur also got Vishnupriya ji’s wireless wire. As if the Lord had done him a favor, taking leave of Advaitacharya with the desire to go to Navadvipa, he went towards Vidyanagar. After reaching there, Prabhu Sarvabhaum Bhattacharya stayed at Bhai Vachaspati’s house. A huge crowd of people started coming to have darshan of the Lord. Whoever listens, he would have crossed Ganga ji by boat, with pitchers and with his hands and would have gone to see Vidyasagar Prabhu. At that time Narmund-only-Narmund would have been visible on both the Ghats. When Prabhu reached there, a kind of fair took place. The forest of the brooms of Ganga ji turned into a beautiful Rajpath after being crushed by the feet of humans. People used to make great noise while hailing Mahaprabhu and expressed their anxiety to see the Lord.
Mahaprabhu, fed up with this crowd and uproar, along with two-four devotees slowly went from Vidyanagar to Kulia, saving the sight of humans.
People started cursing Vachaspati Pandit for not getting the darshan of the Lord. He started hearing all kinds of contradictory things. In the end, when they came to know that Prabhu left from here silently, then there was no place for their sorrow, they all started crying loudly in separation from Prabhu. Meanwhile, a Brahmin came and informed that the Lord has reached Kulia. Then Vachaspati became the leader of that immense crowd and went towards Kulia. After reaching Kulia, the people expressed their eagerness to see the Lord, then the Lord climbed on the roof and blessed the people with his visions. Many people returned to their respective places considering themselves blessed by the darshan of the Lord, but the more people went, the more they increased, this scene remained till evening.
Seeing such a universal influence of the Lord, all those who had enmity with him earlier came to the shelter of the Lord expressing remorse for their past actions and sought his forgiveness for their crimes. Seeing the retirement of the Lord, the hearts of the opponents became as soft as those of Navneet. Sacrifice of love is the glory. Without sacrifice, love cannot blossom. How can love arise in the life of a collector and a recipient, due to the influence of God’s love, waves of love began to ripple in the hearts of even those blasphemers who had committed sinful acts. First of all, Param Bhagwati Pandit Devanand ji of Vidyanagar surrendered to the Lord and did not pray for his own sins, but took a promise from the Lord that whoever comes here and asks you for forgiveness for his past sins. Will do, you will graciously give him forgiveness. Mahaprabhu’s huge heart had no memory of past crimes, he was a great man. Being forced by the nature of the worldly people, why did they start accepting bad words? He knew – ‘Sadrisham Cheshte Swasya: Prakritergyanwanpi’ Even a man of knowledge makes all efforts according to his own nature, so no matter what anyone says should be considered bad. Nevertheless, for the pleasure of Devanand ji, he gave permission to perform a Paradha-Bhanjan. Everyone surrendered at the feet of the Lord and the Lord hugged them.
All the small and big devotees of the Lord and the women and children of the devotees had come here in the kuliya and had darshan of him. Sachimata had come to meet her in Shantipur only. No devotee was deprived of seeing God. Mahaprabhu stayed in Kulia for five-seven days. For so many days, a fair was being held in Kulia. Despite this, Vishnupriya ji kept sitting inside her house thinking of God in solitude. She did not come out of the house like a sati-saadhvi Kulvadhu, as if the Lord had expressed his desire to go to Navadweep in order to bless her with His darshans. The joy of the devotees knew no bounds. At the same time nine were called for and the Lord crossed the Ganges with ten or five intimate devotees and reached Navadweep Ghat. Prabhu Shuklamber reached the brahmachari’s cottage by climbing the steps of the ghat. Brahmachari ji started profusely praising his luck and started prostrated at the feet of the Lord. Within a moment, this news spread throughout the city. People came from all around and started considering themselves to be grateful for the darshan of the Lord. As soon as she got the news, Sachimata also came running as she was sitting. The Lord worshiped the feet of the mother. Mother Ap started soaking the clothes of the Lord with tears. Prabhu was standing silently thinking something, no one had the courage to say anything. Then the Lord started walking slowly towards the house with Sachimata wearing khadoons on his feet. One by one they started remembering all the things. Five-six years ago, the ghat on which they used to take bath, that ghat seemed deserted even after so many people were there. All the familiar trees were shaking and shaking as if welcoming the Lord. The same buildings, the same attics, the same ancient paths, the same shrines started renewing the memory of the Lord.
Mahaprabhu was going ahead with downcast eyes. A huge crowd of people was coming from behind making Haridhwani. Prabhu stood in front of the house. Vishnupriya ji’s heart started beating. She was not able to bear such a heavy rush of love. Through the window, he did a tableau of his life and everything. Vishnupriya ji has now seen the Lord with his head shaved and wearing saffron clothes. Seeing his radiant face, Vishnupriya ji became like the idol written in the picture. The continuous tears coming out of his eyes were only supporting his vitality.
Vishnupriya ji’s wish was to offer some prayer by bowing down to the feet of her Pranesh, but she got confused thinking how the bride-to-be could go out in such a huge crowd. Then he thought, when he has come so far, even after being a sannyasin, he has shown so much compassion, then why am I ashamed to go out now? Public and shame are all for the attainment of his feet, when these feet are present right in front of him, then why should I deprive myself of the pleasure of his touch? Thinking of this, Vishnupriya ji went away after touching the feet of the Lord as she was sitting.
He had stopped tying braids, had removed the ornaments of all the parts of the body, had reduced his diet very much. His body had become emaciated due to the poor diet of Nitya. She used to meditate on the Lord continuously.
Vishnupriya ji, exhausted by longing to see the Lord, quickly went towards the Lord, making her whole body compact. The Lord did not look at anyone by raising his eyes, he was standing and staring at the earth. At the same time he saw, a woman wearing dirty clothes came and fell at his feet. Frightened by the touch of a woman, the Lord took two steps back. Vishnupriya ji started crying slowly with tears in her eyes. Prabhu asked in a hoarse voice – ‘Who are you?’
Hi Ray Vairagya! Such harshness of yours is cursed again and again, which is called half part of the body, for whom there is no one else except the master, his merciless master, the everything of his life, his presiding deity asks him Is- ‘Who are you?’ Sky! why don’t you fall earth! Why don’t you explode? Vishnupriya ji did not remain silent, thought that someone else should introduce me, but who else had the courage? Everyone’s speech had stopped. Such a huge crowd had become completely silent at that time, there was silence all around. When Vishnupriya ji saw that no one said anything, then she herself slowly started saying in a compassionate voice – ‘I am a very small maidservant at your feet!’
Mahaprabhu now became conscious, he stopped for a while and said – ‘What do you want?’ He said in a very eloquent voice – ‘I want your grace.’ The Lord looked down and said – ‘ Dear Vishnu! You make your name meaningful. Vishnu-devotion is the only essence in the world, make this life successful by attaining that.’ Weeping, Vishnupriya ji said- ‘I do not know that there is any other Vishnu other than you, and I do not have the desire to die. You are Vishnu, Krishna, Shiva whatever you are to me. I have no other shelter except your feet.’ Hearing these heart-wrenching words, the hearts of all the men and women standing there burst into tears. Water started flowing from everyone’s eyes.
Vishnupriya ji again said – ‘ Lord! I have heard that you save the world, then why has the unfortunate Vishnupriya been thrown out of the world, why is it not her turn to be saved?’ The Lord said – ‘What is your desire?’ Vishnupriya ji stopped and said while filling the subakis – ‘ I should get some support to live my life. This Kangalini beggar begs for the same at your feet.
After thinking for a while, the Lord took off both the legs and said – ‘ Goddess! What else do we sannyasis have to give you? Take this, you spend your life with the help of these shoes.’
As soon as Vishnupriya ji heard this, she raised her head covered in dust and with trembling fingers raised those two pillars on her head and started crying. At that time, there was hue and cry in the crowd, everyone started crying after shouting.
The Lord returned at the same time after saluting the mother. The mother fainted on the ground seeing her beloved son leaving, without looking back, the Lord quickly cut through the crowd and started walking forward. Many devotees quickly went ahead and started removing people. In this way, staying in Navadweep for a while, the Lord reached the other side by boat and with the desire to go to Vrindavan, started moving forward along the banks of Ganga ji. Hundreds of people started following him with the desire to go to Vrindavan along with the Lord at the same time, not caring about anything from house to house. In this way, making tumul-haridhvani, that immense crowd like the ocean started following the path of the Lord.
