हनुमान चालीसा की आध्यात्मिक व्याख्या

श्री गुरु चरन सरोज रज निज मन मुकुर सुधार।
बरनहु रघुवर विमल यश जो दायक फल चार।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी! सद्गुरु स्वरूप अपने श्रीचरण कमलों से मेरे चित्त रूपी दर्पण पर पड़ी अज्ञानता रूपी धूल को अपना ज्ञान प्रदान करते हुए परब्रह्म परमात्मा श्री राम जी के विमल यश का विस्तार से वर्णन कीजिए जो कि परम पुरुषार्थ (धर्म, अर्थ, काम और मोक्ष की प्राप्ति कराने वाला है।”

बुद्धिहीन मोहि जानि कर सुमिरो पवन कुमार।
बल बुद्धि विद्या देहु मोहि हरहु कलेष विकार।।

“हे मन रूपी पवन कुमार हनुमान जी! मुझे बुद्धिहीन जानकर मेरी भी सुधि लीजिए और बल बुद्धि विद्या प्रदान करके मेरे क्लेशों और विकारों का हरण कीजिए।”

जय हनुमान ज्ञान गुन सागर।
जय कपीस तिहुं लोक उजागर।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान और चंचल वानर (कपि रूपी ईश्वर)) स्वरूप तीनों लोकों के सभी प्राणियों में उजागर होनेवाले हनुमान जी! आपकी जय हो।”

राम दूत अतुलित बल धामा।
अंजनि पुत्र पवनसुत नामा।।

“हे अतुलित बल के धाम स्वरूप, मां अंजनि और पवन देव के सुत तथा आत्मा रूपी राम के दूत आपको नमन् और वंदन।”

महावीर विक्रम बजरंगी।
कुमति निवार सुमति के संगी।।

“हे शौर्य और पराक्रम के प्रतीक वीरों में महावीर जी मन रूपी हनुमान जी!आपको कोटि कोटि नमन् और वंदन करता हूं!”

कंचन वरन बिराज सुवेशा।
कानन कुण्डल कुंचित केसा।।

“हे कंचन वर्ण वेश धारण करने वाले, कानों में कुण्डल कुंचित केश धारण करने वाले मन रूपी हनुमान जी आपको नमन् और वंदन करता हूं।”

हाथ वज्र और ध्वजा बिराजे।।
कांधे मूंज जनेऊ साजे।।

“हे हाथों में वज्र और राम नाम की ध्वजा को धारण करनेवाले तथा कान्धे पर मूंज का जनेऊ धारण करने वाले मन रूपी हनुमान जी!आपको नमन् और वंदन करता हूं।”

शंकर सुवन केशरी नंदन।
तेज प्रताप महा जगवंदन।।

“हे मन रूपी शंकर सुवन केशरी के नंदन हनुमान जी!आपके तेज और प्रताप का संपूर्ण जगत वंदन करता है।”

विद्यावान गुनी अति चातुर
राम काज करिबै को आतुर।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी!आप अत्यंत गुणी और चतुर हैं और आत्म रूपी ‘राम’ अर्थात् ईश्वर का कार्य करने को सदैव तत्पर रहते हैं।”

प्रभु चरित्र सुनिबे को रसिया।
राम लक्षण सीता मन बसिया।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी!आप प्रभु राम जी के चरित्र का बखान करने और सुनने में रस लेते हैं और आत्मा रूपी राम, ज्ञान रूपी लक्ष्मण और बुद्धि रूपी सीता के मानस में निवास और रमण करते हैं।”

सूक्ष्म रूप धरि सियहिं दिखावा।
भीम रूप धरि लंक जरावा।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी,आप बुद्धि रूपी सीता जी को अपने सूक्ष्म रूप को दिखाते हैं और भीम जैसा रूप धारण करके जीवों में व्याप्त क्लेशों, विकारों और अहंकार युक्त लंका को भस्मीभूत करने में सामर्थ्यवान हैं।”

लाए संजीवन लखन जियाए।
श्री रघुवीर हरषि उर भाए।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी!जब ज्ञान रूपी लक्ष्मण जी पर अज्ञानता रूपी वज्र के प्रहार से मूर्छित होते हैं तो आप ही उन्हें संजीवनी शक्ति प्रदान करके मूर्छा से मुक्त करते हैं।”

रघुपति कीन्ही बहुत बड़ाई।
तुम मम भरतसिंह सम भाई।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी! आप ही आत्मा रूपी राम के सत्य समर्पित और बंधन और मोक्ष का कारण हैं अतः राम जी आपको निज दासत्व भाव और सामर्थ्य से परिपूर्ण भरत के समान अपना भाई मानते हैं।”

सहस बदन तुम्हारो यश गावें।
अस कहि श्रीपति कंठ लगावे।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी!सहस्त्रों प्राणियों का प्रेरक होने के कारण सभी आपकी वंदना करते।इसी कारण लक्ष्मी पति आत्मा रूपी राम आपको हृदय से लगाते हैं।”

युग सहस्र योजन पर भानू।
लील्यो ताहि मधुर फल जानू।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी!जगत प्रकाशक सूर्य आपके प्रताप से ही दृश्यमान होते हैं। आपकी अनुपस्थिति से जगत विलुप्त हो जाने के कारण ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि आपने सूर्यदेव को मधुर फल जानकर स्वयं में विलीन कर लिया है क्योंकि यदि आप न हों तो जगत का अस्तित्व ही कहां शेष बच रह सकता है।”

प्रभु मुद्रिका मेलि मुख माहीं।
जलधि लांघि गए अचरज नाहीं।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी! नित्य निरंतर राम जप रूपी मुद्रिका मुख में रखने वालों को आप जलधि अर्थात् भवसागर से पार कर देते हैं।”

दुर्गम काज जगत के जेते।
सुगम अनुग्रह तुम्हरे तेते।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी! आपके अनुग्रह से किसी के लिए इस लौकिक जगत का कोई भी कार्य आपके लिए दुर्लभ नहीं है।”

राम दुलारे तुम रखवाले।
होत न आज्ञा बिनु पैसारे।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी!आप आत्मा रूपी राम तक पहुंचने के लिए उनके द्वारपाल हैं आपकी आज्ञा के बिना किसी का कोई मनोरथ सिद्ध नहीं होता है।”

सब सुख लहैं तुम्हारी सरना।
तुम रक्षक काहू को डरना।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी! सांसारिक दुःखों दुखों से परे सभी आपके समक्ष शरणागत होने पर मिट जाते हैं। आपके रक्षक होने पर भला किस बात का डरना?”

आपन तेज संभारौ आपै।
तीनों लोक हांकते कांपै।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी! कृपया सभी के अंदर विद्यमान अपने विस्मृत स्वरूप का स्मरण कराते हुए अपनी शक्ति तथा तेज से पुनः परिपूर्ण होकर अपने बल, शौर्य और साहस निर्भीकता और अभयता का डंका बजाइये जिससे कि तीनों लोकों में व्याप्त अज्ञानता का अंधकार मिट जाए और दुर्जन और पापी असुरत्व भाव प्रधान मनुष्य कांपने लगें।”

भूत पिसाच निकट नहिं आवै।
महावीर जब नाम सुनावैं।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी! कुछ ऐसा कीजिए कि जैसे ही आपके सामर्थ्य का और नाम सुमिरन कि जाए किसी के समीप भूत पिशाच जैसी दुर्जन शक्तियां किसी के समीप न आएं और उनका अविलंब नाश तथा अभाव हो जाए।”

नाशै रोग हरे सब पीरा।
जपहु निरंतर हनुमत वीरा।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी!आपका अनवरत जप और सुमिरन करने से त्रिविध ताप और एषणाए शांत होते और भौतिक व्याधियों से मुक्ति मिलती है।”

संकट से हनुमान छुड़ावें।
मन क्रम वचन ध्यान जो ध्यावे।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी,मन क्रम वचन से जो कोई भी आपका ध्यान करता है, उसे आप सभी संकटों से छुटकारा दिला देते हैं।”

जै जै हनुमान गोसाईं।
कृपा करें गुरु देव की नाईं।।

“हे गुरुदेव सम हनुमान जी! आपको कोटि कोटि नमन् करता हूं कृपया मुझपर सदा सर्वदा अपनी कृपा बनाएं रखें।”

यह शत बार पाठ करि जोई।
छूटहि बंदि यहां सुख होई।।

“मन रूपी हनुमान जी आपके सद्गुरु स्वरूप इस हनुमान चालीसा का जो भी सैकड़ों बार पाठ करता है उसे समस्त बंधनों से मुक्त करते हुए परम् सुख प्राप्त कराते हैं।”

तुलसी दास सदा हरि तेरा।
कीजिए नाथ हृदय मम डेरा।।

“हे मन रूपी हनुमान जी,मैं आपका तुलसी के समान शुद्ध सात्विक भाव जीवात्मा रूप से दास होकर प्रार्थना करता हूं कि आप सदा सर्वदा मेरे हृदय को अपना निवास बनाएं रखें।”

पवन तनय संकट हरण मंगल मूरत रूप।
राम लखन सीता सहित हृदय बसहु सुरभूप।।

“हे देवताओं के स्वामी मन रूपी पवनसुत हनुमान जी! आप मेरे सभी संकटों का हरण कीजिए और आत्मा रूपी राम, ज्ञान रूपी लक्ष्मण और बुद्धि रूपी सीता सहित हृदय में विराजमान होवें।मेरी आपसे यही बारंबार अनुनय विनय और प्रार्थना है।”
