सीताराम अष्टकं

सीता गायत्रीमंत्र से बढ़ती है तप की शक्ति-

ॐ जनकनन्दिन्यै विद्महे भूमिजायै धीमहि। तन्नो सीता प्रचोदयात्।।

ब्रह्ममहेन्द्रसुरेन्द्रमरुद्गण रुद्रमुनीन्द्रगणैरतिरम्यं,
क्षीरसरित्पतितीरमुपेत्य नुतं हि सतामवितारमुदारम्।
भूमिभरप्रशमार्थमथ प्रथितप्रकटीकृतचिद्घनमूर्तिं,
त्वां भजतो रघुनन्दन देहिदया घन मे स्वपदाम्बुजदास्यम्।।१।।

पद्मदलायतलोचन हे रघुवंश विभूषण देव दयालो,
निर्मलनीरदनीलतनोऽखिल लोकहृदम्बुजभासक भानो।
कोमलगात्र पवित्र पदाब्ज रजःकणपावितगौतमकान्त,
त्वां भजतो रघुनन्दन देहिदया घन मे स्वपदाम्बुजदास्यम्।।२।।

पूर्ण परात्पर पालय मामति दीनमनाथमनन्तसुखाब्धे,
प्रावृडदभ्रतडित्सुमनोहर पीतवराम्बर राम नमस्ते।
कामविभञ्जन कान्ततरानन काञ्चनभूषण रत्नकिरीट,
त्वां भजतो रघुनन्दन देहिदया, घनमे स्वपदाम्बुजदास्यम्।।३।।

दिव्यशरच्छशिकान्तिहरोज्ज्व मौक्तिकमालविशालसुमौले,
कोटिरविप्रभ चारुचरित्रपवित्र विचित्रधनुःशरपाणे।
चण्डमहाभुजदण्डविखण्डित राक्षसराजमहागजदण्डं,
त्वां भजतो रघुनन्दन देहिदया घन मे स्वपदाम्बुजदास्यम्।।४।।

दोषविहिंस्रभुजङ्गसहस्रसुरो षमहानलकीलकलापे,
जन्मजरामरणोर्मिभये मद मन्मथनक्रविचक्रभवाब्धौ।
दुःखनिधौ च चिरं पतितं कृपयाद्य समुद्धर रामततो माम्,
त्वां भजतो रघुनन्दन देहि दयाघन मे स्वपदाम्बुजदास्यम्।।५।।

संसृतिघोरमदोत्कटकुञ्जर तृट्क्षुदनीरदपिण्डिततुण्डं,
दण्डकरोन्मथितं च रजस्तम‌ उन्मदमोहपदोज्झितमार्तम्
दीनमनन्यगतिं कृपणं शरणागत माशु विमोचय मूढम्,
त्वां भजतो रघुनन्दन देहिदया घन मे स्वपदाम्बुजदास्यम्।।६।।

जन्मशतार्जितपापसमन्वित हृत्कमले पतिते पशुकल्पे,
हे रघुवीर महारणधीर दयां कुरु मय्यतिमन्दमनीषे।
त्वं जननी भगिनी च पिता मं तावदसि त्ववितापि कृपालो,
त्वां भजतो रघुनन्दन देहिदया घन मे स्वपदाम्बुजदास्यम्।।७।।

त्वां तु दयालुमकिञ्चन वत्सलमुत्पलहारमपारमुदारं,
राम विहाय कमन्यमनामय मीश जनं शरणं ननु यायाम्।
त्वत्पदपद्ममतः श्रितमेव मुदा खलु देव सदैव ससीत,
त्वां भजतो रघुनन्दन देहिदया घन मे स्वपदाम्बुजदास्यम्।।८।।

यः करुणामृतसिन्धुरनाथ जनोत्तमबन्धुरजोत्तमकारी,
भक्तभयोर्मिभवाब्धितरिः सरयूतटिनीतटचारुविहारी।
तस्य रघुप्रवरस्य निरन्तर मष्टकमेतदनिष्टहरं वै,
यस्तु पठेदमरः स नरो लभते ऽच्युत रामपदाम्बुजदास्यम्।।९।।

Sita Gayatri Mantra increases the power of penance-

Padmadalayatlochan he Raghuvansh vibhushan dev dayalo, Your body is blue like the pure waters, and you shine like the lotus of the hearts of all the worlds. Komalagatra pavitra padabja rajahkanapavitagautamakant, O delight of the Raghus, grant me, O cloud of mercy, the servant of Thy lotus feet, who worship Thee.

Perfectly transcendental, keep me in the ocean of poor and infinite happiness, O Rama you are beautifully dressed in yellow clothes like spring clouds and lightning Kamavibhanjana kantataranana kanchanbhusana ratnakirita, O delight of the Raghus, give me mercy to those who worship You, the servant of Your lotus feet in the clouds.

divyasharachchashikantiharojjva mauktikamalavishalasumaule, O crore of brahmins, beautiful in character, holy, in possession of a wonderful bow and arrow. Chandamahabhujadandavikhandita rakshasarajamahagajadanda, O delight of the Raghus, grant me, O cloud of mercy, the servant of Thy lotus feet, who worship Thee.

Doshavihinsrabhujangasahasrasuro shamahanalakilakalape, In the waves of birth, old age and death, in the ocean of intoxication, in the churning of the crab, in the cycle of life. And I have fallen into the treasure of sorrow for a long time, please rescue me today from there, O Rama, O delight of the Raghus, O thick with mercy, grant me the mouth of Your lotus feet as I worship You.

Sansritighoramadotkatakunjara tritkshudaniradapinditatunda, And the darkness of dust crushed by the hand of the rod, and the torment of the feet of madness and delusion Deliver me quickly, the poor, the unconditional, the miserable, the refugee, the foolish, O delight of the Raghus, grant me, O cloud of mercy, the servant of Thy lotus feet, who worship Thee.

In the animal age, fallen into the lotus of the heart, full of sins earned by a hundred births, O hero of Raghu, brave in battle, have mercy on me, O very slow-witted one. You are my mother, sister and father, and you are so kind to me, O delight of the Raghus, grant me, O cloud of mercy, the servant of Thy lotus feet, who worship Thee.

But you are kind, nothing, affectionate, lotus-necklace, and generous beyond measure, O Rama leave this young woman and take refuge in the people Tvatpadapadmamata shritameva muda khalu deva sadaiva sasita, O delight of the Raghus, grant me, O cloud of mercy, the servant of Thy lotus feet, who worship Thee.

Yah karunamritasindhuranatha janottamabandhurajottamakari, Bhaktabhayormibhavabdhitarih sarayutatinitacharuvihari. This constant mashtakam of that Raghupravara is the destroyer of evil, But he who recites this immortal man attains the service of the lotus feet of the infallible Rama.
