बेलपत्र का वृक्ष शुभ क्यूँ माना जाता है?

एक बार माता पार्वती के पसीने की बूंद मंदराचल पर्वत पर गिर गई और उससे बेल का पेड़ निकल आया। माता पार्वती के पसीने से बेल के पेड़ का उद्भव हुआ।

इसमें माता पार्वती के सभी रूप बसते हैं। वे पेड़ की जड़ में गिरिजा के स्वरूप में, इसके तनों में माहेश्वरी के स्वरूप में और शाखाओं में दक्षिणायनी व पत्तियों में पार्वती के रूप में रहती हैं, फलों में कात्यायनी स्वरूप व फूलों में गौरी स्वरूप निवास करता है।

इस सभी रूपों के अलावा, मां पार्वती का रूप समस्त वृक्ष में निवास करता है। बेलपत्र में माता पार्वती का प्रतिबिंब होने के कारण इसे भगवान शिव पर चढ़ाया जाता है।

भगवान शिव पर बेल पत्र चढ़ाने से वे प्रसन्न होते हैं और भक्त की मनोकामना पूर्ण करते हैं। जो व्यक्ति किसी तीर्थस्थान पर नहीं जा सकता है अगर वह श्रावण मास में बिल्व के पेड़ के मूल भाग की पूजा करके उसमें जल अर्पित करे तो उसे सभी तीर्थों के दर्शन का पुण्य मिलता है।

बेल वृक्ष का महत्व क्या है?

बिल्व वृक्ष के आसपास सांप नहीं आते।
अगर किसी की शवयात्रा बिल्व वृक्ष की छाया से होकर गुजरे तो उसका मोक्ष हो जाता है।
वायुमंडल में व्याप्त अशुद्धियों को सोखने की क्षमता सबसे ज्यादा बिल्व वृक्ष में होती है।
4, 5, 6 या 7 पत्तों वाले बिल्व पत्रक पाने वाला परम भाग्यशाली और शिव को अर्पण करने से अनंत गुना फल मिलता है।
बेल वृक्ष को काटने से वंश का नाश होता है और बेल वृक्ष लगाने से वंश की वृद्धि होती है।
सुबह-शाम बेल वृक्ष के दर्शन मात्र से पापों का नाश होता है।
बेल वृक्ष को सींचने से पितर तृप्त होते हैं।
बेल वृक्ष और सफेद आक को जोड़े से लगाने पर अटूट लक्ष्मी की प्राप्ति होती है।
बेलपत्र और ताम्र धातु के एक विशेष प्रयोग से ऋषि मुनि स्वर्ण धातु का उत्पादन करते थे।
जीवन में सिर्फ 1 बार और वह भी यदि भूल से भी शिवलिंग पर बेलपत्र चढ़ा दिया हो तो भी उसके सारे पाप मुक्त हो जाते हैं।
बेल वृक्ष का रोपण, पोषण और संवर्द्धन करने से महादेव से साक्षात्कार करने का अवश्य लाभ मिलता है।

Once a drop of mother Parvati’s sweat fell on the Mandarachal mountain and a bael tree emerged from it. Bel tree originated from the sweat of Mother Parvati.

All the forms of Mother Parvati reside in it. She resides in the form of Girija in the root of the tree, Maheshwari in its trunk and Dakshinayani in the branches and Parvati in the leaves, Katyayani in the fruits and Gauri in the flowers.

Apart from all these forms, the form of Maa Parvati resides in all the trees. Due to the reflection of Mother Parvati in Belpatra, it is offered to Lord Shiva.

Offering bel leaves to Lord Shiva pleases him and fulfills the wishes of the devotee. The person who cannot go to any pilgrimage place, if he worships the root part of the Bilva tree in the month of Shravan and offers water to it, then he gets the virtue of visiting all the pilgrimages.

What is the importance of Bel tree? Snakes do not come near the Bilva tree. If someone’s funeral procession passes through the shadow of the Bilva tree, then he gets salvation. Bilva tree has maximum capacity to absorb the impurities present in the atmosphere. One who gets a bilva leaf with 4, 5, 6 or 7 leaves is the most fortunate and by offering it to Shiva, one gets infinite manifold results. Cutting down of Bael tree destroys the dynasty and planting Bael tree leads to the growth of the dynasty. Sins are destroyed by just seeing the Bael tree in the morning and evening. The ancestors are satisfied by watering the vine tree. Inexhaustible Lakshmi is obtained by planting the Bel tree and white aak in pairs. Rishi Muni used to produce gold metal with a special use of belpatra and copper metal. Only once in life and that too if by mistake a beltpatra is offered on the Shivling, then all his sins are absolved. Planting, nurturing and cultivating the Bael tree definitely gives the benefit of having an interview with Mahadev.
