” श्रीगणेशायनम: ! अस्य श्रीरामरक्षास्तोत्रमन्त्रस्य । बुधकौशिक ऋषि: । श्रीसीतारामचंद्रोदेवता ।अनुष्टुप् छन्द: । सीता शक्ति: । श्रीमद्हनुमान् कीलकम् ।श्रीसीतारामचंद्रप्रीत्यर्थे जपे विनियोग: ॥ “
अर्थात ——
इस राम रक्षा स्तोत्र मंत्र के रचयिता बुधकौशिक ऋषि हैं, सीता और रामचंद्र देवता हैं, अनुष्टुप छंद हैं, सीता शक्ति हैं, हनुमानजी कीलक है तथा श्रीरामचंद्रजी की प्रसन्नता के लिए, राम रक्षा स्तोत्र के जप में, विनियोग किया जाता है ।
॥ अथ ध्यानम् ॥
” ध्यायेदाजानुबाहुं धृतशरधनुषं बद्दद्पद्मासनस्थं ।
पीतं वासोवसानं नवकमलदलस्पर्धिनेत्रं प्रसन्नम् ॥
वामाङ्कारूढसीता मुखकमलमिलल्लोचनं नीरदाभं ।
नानालङ्कारदीप्तं दधतमुरुजटामण्डनं रामचंद्रम् ॥”
अर्थात —–
।। ध्यान धरिए ।।
जो धनुष-बाण धारण किए हुए हैं,बद्ध पद्मासन की मुद्रा में विराजमान हैं और पीतांबर पहने हुए हैं, जिनके आलोकित नेत्र नए कमल दल के समान स्पर्धा करते हैं, जो बायें ओर स्थित सीताजी के मुख कमल से मिले हुए हैं- उन आजानु बाहु, मेघश्याम,विभिन्न अलंकारों से विभूषित तथा जटाधारी श्रीरामका ध्यान करें ।
॥ इति ध्यानम् ॥
” चरितं रघुनाथस्य शतकोटिप्रविस्तरम् ।
एकैकमक्षरं पुंसां महापातकनाशनम् ।। 1।। “
अर्थात —–
श्री रघुनाथजी का चरित्र सौ कोटि विस्तार वाला हैं । उसका एक-एक अक्षर महापातकों को नष्ट करने वाला है ।
” ध्यात्वा नीलोत्पलश्यामं रामं राजीवलोचनम् ।
जानकीलक्ष्मणॊपेतं जटामुकुटमण्डितम् ॥2॥ “
अर्थात ——
नीले कमल के श्याम वर्ण वाले, कमल नेत्र वाले , जटाओं के मुकुट से सुशोभित, जानकी तथा लक्ष्मण सहित ऐसे भगवान् श्रीरामका स्मरण कर।
” सासितूणधनुर्बाणपाणिं नक्तं चरान्तकम् ।
स्वलीलया जगत्त्रातुमाविर्भूतमजं विभुम् ॥3॥ “
अर्थात ——
जो अजन्मा एवं सर्वव्यापक, हाथों में खड्ग, तुणीर, धनुष-बाण धारण किए राक्षसों के संहार तथा अपनी लीलाओं से जगत रक्षा हेतु अवतीर्ण श्रीरामका स्मरण कर।
” रामरक्षां पठॆत्प्राज्ञ: पापघ्नीं सर्वकामदाम् ।
शिरो मे राघव: पातु भालं दशरथात्मज: ॥4॥ “
अर्थात ——-
मैं सर्व कामप्रद और पापों को नष्ट करने वाले राम रक्षा स्तोत्र का पाठ करता हूं । राघव मेरे सिर की और दशरथ के पुत्र, मेरे ललाट की रक्षा करें ।
” कौसल्येयो दृशौ पातु विश्वामित्रप्रिय: श्रुती ।
घ्राणं पातु मखत्राता मुखं सौमित्रिवत्सल: ॥5॥
अर्थात ——
कौशल्या नंदन मेरे नेत्रों की, विश्वामित्र के प्रिय मेरे कानों की, यज्ञ रक्षक मेरे घ्राण की और सुमित्रा के वत्सल मेरे मुख की रक्षा करें ।
क्रमशः ———-
“Obeisances to Lord Śiva That is, —— The composer of this Rama Raksha Stotra Mantra is Budhakaushik Rishi, Sita and Ramachandra are the deities, Anustupa is the verse, Sita is the Shakti, Hanuman is the Keelak and for the pleasure of Sri Ramachandraji, the chanting of Rama Raksha Stotra is done. ॥ Atha Dhyanam. ” One should meditate on the Lord, who is seated on a lotus seat, holding a bow and arrows on His knees. His garment was yellow, and his eyes were like the petals of a new lotus. Sītā was seated on her left arm. Her face was like a lotus and her eyes were like water. Ramachandra was shining with various ornaments and adorned with matted hair on his thighs. That is, —– ।। Pay attention. who holds bow and arrow, sits in a bound padmasana posture and wears yellow robes, whose illuminated eyes compete like a new lotus cluster, who meets the lotus face of Sita on the left- those kneeling arms , cloud-black, adorned with various ornaments and matted hair, meditate on Sri Rama. ॥ This is the meditation. ” The biography of Raghunatha is hundreds of millions of pages long. Each and every syllable destroys the great sins of men 1. ” That is, —– The character of Shri Raghunathji is one hundred million in extent. Every letter of it is destroyer of great sins. ” Meditate on Rama who is dark like a blue lotus and whose eyes are like lotus petals With Janaki and Lakshmana adorned with matted hair and a crown. ” That is, —— Remember such Lord Sri Rama, with dark complexion of blue lotus, with lotus eyes , adorned with a crown of matted hair, with Janaki and Lakshmana. ” He was armed with a sword, spear, bow and arrows and killed the moving creatures at night. The unborn almighty Lord appeared to save the world by His own pastimes. ” That is, —— Remember Sri Rama who is unborn and omnipresent, who descended to destroy the demons holding swords, trumpets, bows and arrows in his hands and to protect the world by his deeds. ” A wise man should recite Ramaraksha which destroys sins and fulfills all desires May Rama son of Dasaratha protect my head and my brow ” That is ——- I recite the Ram Raksha Stotra, which fulfills all desires and destroys sins. May Raghav protect my head and Dasaratha’s son protect my forehead. ” May the son of Kausalya, the beloved of Vishvamitra, and the scripture, protect me in my sight. May the savior of sacrifices affectionate to Lakshmana protect my sense of smell and my mouth That is, —— May Kaushalya Nandan protect my eyes, Vishvamitra’s beloved protect my ears, Yajna Rakshak protect my sense of smell and Sumitra’s beloved protect my mouth. respectively ———-
