गरुड़ध्वज वैकुण्ठनिवासिन केशव अच्युत।
जनार्दन नमस्तुभ्यं त्राहि मां भवसागरात्।।४।।
शंखचक्रगदापद्मधर श्रीवत्सलाञ्चन।
मेघश्याम नमस्तुभ्यं त्राहि मां भवसागरात्।।५।।
त्वं माता त्वं पिता बन्धुः सद्गुरुस्त्वं दयानिधिः।
त्वत्तोऽन्यो न परो देवस्त्राहि मां भवसागरात्।।६।।
न जाने दानधर्मादि योगं यागं तपो जपम्।
त्वं केवलं कुरु दयान त्राहि मां भवसागरात्।।७।।
न मत्समोऽस्ति पापकृद् न त्वत्समोऽस्ति हि पापहृत्।
विज्ञापितं त्वेतत् शेषसाक्षिन् मामुधार्तं पतितं तवाग्रे।।८।।
हिंदी भावार्थ-
हे श्रीनिवास, हे जगन्नाथ, हे श्रीहरि- जो भक्तों से सदा स्नेह करने वाले हैं! हे लक्ष्मीपति नारायण, आपको नमस्कार है। मुझे इस जन्म-मरण रूपी भयावह संसार-सागर से पार लगाइए।
हे राधारमण गोविंद, हे भक्तों की सभी कामनाएँ पूर्ण करने वाले नारायण!आपको नमस्कार है- कृपया मुझे इस संसार-सागर से मुक्त कर दीजिए।
हे दामोदर, महोदर- जो सब प्रकार की विपत्तियों का निवारण करते हैं, हे ऋषियों के भी आराध्य भगवान! आपको नमस्कार है, मुझे जन्म-मरण के सागर से तार दीजिए।
हे गरुड़ध्वज, वैकुण्ठनिवासी, केशव, अच्युत, जनार्दन!आपको नमस्कार है- मुझे संसाररूप सागर से मुक्त कीजिए।
जो शंख, चक्र, गदा और कमल धारण करते हैं; जिनके वक्षस्थल पर श्रीवत्स चिन्ह शोभित है;
जिनका रूप मेघ के समान श्यामल है- ऐसे हे दयासागर भगवान! मुझे संसारसागर से पार लगाइए।
आप ही मेरी माता हैं, आप ही पिता हैं, आप ही बन्धु हैं,आप ही सच्चे गुरु हैं, आप ही दया के सागर हैं। आपके सिवा कोई दूसरा देवता नहीं है- हे प्रभु! मुझे इस भवसागर से उबारिए।
मैं दान, धर्म, योग, यज्ञ, तप या जप- कुछ भी नहीं जानता। आप ही अपनी अनंत कृपा से दया करें और मुझे इस जन्म-मरण रूपी सागर से पार लगाइए।
हे प्रभु! इस संसार में मुझ जैसा पाप करने वाला दूसरा नहीं है, परंतु आपसे बड़ा पापहरण करने वाला भी कोई नहीं है। मैं यह सत्य आपके साक्षात शेषनाग को साक्षी रखकर स्वीकार करता हूँ- हे दयामय! मैं आपके चरणों में गिरा हुआ, दुख से व्याकुल हूँ- कृपा कर मुझे उठा लीजिए। मेरा उद्धार कीजिए।
यह स्तोत्र पूर्णतया समर्पणभाव से रचा गया है- इसमें भक्त स्वीकार करता है कि वह न तो तप, योग, यज्ञ जानता है, न धर्मकर्म ही उसका सहारा है। उसका एकमात्र आश्रय श्री लक्ष्मीनारायण हैं- जो दीनों के त्राता, दयासागर और संसार-सागर से पार कराने वाले हैं।

You are my mother, you are my father, you are my brother, you are the true teacher, you are the ocean of mercy. There is no other god except you – O Lord! Rescue me from this ocean of existence.
I don’t know anything about charity, religion, yoga, yagya, penance or chanting. You only have mercy with your infinite grace and help me cross this ocean of birth and death.
O Lord! There is no one in this world who sins like me, but there is no one who commits a bigger sin than you. I accept this truth by keeping Sheshnag as your witness – O merciful one! I have fallen at your feet, distraught with sorrow – please lift me up. Save me.
This stotra has been composed with complete devotion – in it the devotee admits that he neither knows penance, yoga, yagya, nor is religious activities his support. His only refuge is Shri Lakshminarayan – who is the protector of the oppressed, the ocean of mercy and the one who helps us cross the ocean of the world.
