श्री रामचरित मानस लंका काण्ड
दोहा :
दुहु दिसि जय जयकार करि
निज जोरी जानि।
भिरे बीर इत रामहि
उत रावनहि बखानि॥79॥
भावार्थ:-दोनों ओर के योद्धा जय-जयकार करके अपनी-अपनी जोड़ी जान (चुन) कर इधर श्री रघुनाथजी का और उधर रावण का बखान करके परस्पर भिड़ गए॥79॥
चौपाई :
रावनु रथी बिरथ रघुबीरा।
देखि बिभीषन भयउ अधीरा॥
अधिक प्रीति मन भा संदेहा।
बंदि चरन कह सहित सनेहा॥1॥
भावार्थ:- रावण को रथ पर और श्री रघुवीर को बिना रथ के देखकर विभीषण अधीर हो गए। प्रेम अधिक होने से उनके मन में सन्देह हो गया (कि वे बिना रथ के रावण को कैसे जीत सकेंगे)। श्री रामजी के चरणों की वंदना करके वे स्नेह पूर्वक कहने लगे॥1॥
नाथ न रथ नहि तन पद त्राना।
केहि बिधि जितब बीर बलवाना॥
सुनहु सखा कह कृपानिधाना।
जेहिं जय होइ सो स्यंदन आना॥2॥
भावार्थ:-हे नाथ! आपके न रथ है, न तन की रक्षा करने वाला कवच है और न जूते ही हैं। वह बलवान् वीर रावण किस प्रकार जीता जाएगा? कृपानिधान श्री रामजी ने कहा- हे सखे! सुनो, जिससे जय होती है, वह रथ दूसरा ही है॥2॥
सौरज धीरज तेहि रथ चाका।
सत्य सील दृढ़ ध्वजा पताका॥
बल बिबेक दम परहित घोरे।
छमा कृपा समता रजु जोरे॥3॥
भावार्थ:-शौर्य और धैर्य उस रथ के पहिए हैं। सत्य और शील (सदाचार) उसकी मजबूत ध्वजा और पताका हैं। बल, विवेक, दम (इंद्रियों का वश में होना) और परोपकार- ये चार उसके घोड़े हैं, जो क्षमा, दया और समता रूपी डोरी से रथ में जोड़े हुए हैं॥3॥
ईस भजनु सारथी सुजाना।
बिरति चर्म संतोष कृपाना॥
दान परसु बुधि सक्ति प्रचंडा।
बर बिग्यान कठिन कोदंडा॥4॥
भावार्थ:- ईश्वर का भजन ही (उस रथ को चलाने वाला) चतुर सारथी है। वैराग्य ढाल है और संतोष तलवार है। दान फरसा है, बुद्धि प्रचण्ड शक्ति है, श्रेष्ठ विज्ञान कठिन धनुष है॥4॥
अमल अचल मन त्रोन समाना।
सम जम नियम सिलीमुख नाना॥
कवच अभेद बिप्र गुर पूजा।
एहि सम बिजय उपाय न दूजा॥5॥
भावार्थ:-निर्मल (पापरहित) और अचल (स्थिर) मन तरकस के समान है। शम (मन का वश में होना), (अहिंसादि) यम और (शौचादि) नियम- ये बहुत से बाण हैं। ब्राह्मणों और गुरु का पूजन अभेद्य कवच है। इसके समान विजय का दूसरा उपाय नहीं है॥5॥
सखा धर्ममय अस रथ जाकें।
जीतन कहँ न कतहुँ रिपु ताकें॥6॥
भावार्थ:- हे सखे! ऐसा धर्ममय रथ जिसके हो उसके लिए जीतने को कहीं शत्रु ही नहीं है॥6॥
दोहा :
महा अजय संसार रिपु
जीति सकइ सो बीर।
जाकें अस रथ होइ दृढ़
सुनहु सखा मतिधीर॥80 क॥
भावार्थ:- हे धीरबुद्धि वाले सखा! सुनो, जिसके पास ऐसा दृढ़ रथ हो, वह वीर संसार (जन्म-मृत्यु) रूपी महान् दुर्जय शत्रु को भी जीत सकता है (रावण की तो बात ही क्या है)॥80 (क)॥
सुनि प्रभु बचन बिभीषन
हरषि गहे पद कंज।
एहि मिस मोहि उपदेसेहु
राम कृपा सुख पुंज॥80 ख
भावार्थ:- प्रभु के वचन सुनकर विभीषणजी ने हर्षित होकर उनके चरण कमल पकड़ लिए (और कहा-) हे कृपा और सुख के समूह श्री रामजी! आपने इसी बहाने मुझे (महान्) उपदेश दिया॥80 (ख)॥
उत पचार दसकंधर
इत अंगद हनुमान।
लरत निसाचर भालु कपि
करि निज निज प्रभु आन॥80 ग॥
भावार्थ:- उधर से रावण ललकार रहा है और इधर से अंगद और हनुमान्। राक्षस और रीछ-वानर अपने-अपने स्वामी की दुहाई देकर लड़ रहे हैं॥80 (ग)॥
चौपाई :
सुर ब्रह्मादि सिद्ध मुनि नाना।
देखत रन नभ चढ़े बिमाना॥
हमहू उमा रहे तेहिं संगा।
देखत राम चरित रन रंगा॥1॥
भावार्थ:-ब्रह्मा आदि देवता और अनेकों सिद्ध तथा मुनि विमानों पर चढ़े हुए आकाश से युद्ध देख रहे हैं। (शिवजी कहते हैं-) हे उमा! मैं भी उस समाज में था और श्री रामजी के रण-रंग (रणोत्साह) की लीला देख रहा था॥1॥

Doha: Cheers on both sides Know your own pair. Bhire bir it ramahi Ut Ravanahi bakhani॥79॥
Meaning: The warriors from both the sides shouted loudly and chose their respective pairs and fought with each other, praising Shri Raghunathji on one side and Ravana on the other side.॥79॥
Chaupai: Ravanu Rathi Birtha Raghubira. See Bibhishan Bhayu Adhira॥ More love and doubt. Saneha with captive feet ॥1॥
Meaning:- Vibhishan became impatient after seeing Ravana on the chariot and Shri Raghuveer without the chariot. Due to great love, there was doubt in his mind (that how will he be able to conquer Ravana without the chariot). After worshiping the feet of Shri Ramji, he started saying affectionately ॥1॥
There is no Nath, no chariot, no body, no foot. Some method to strengthen the beer. Listen friend, say blessings. Wherever there is victory, there will be sorrow.2॥
Meaning:-O Nath! You neither have a chariot, nor any armor to protect your body, nor even shoes. How will that mighty warrior Ravana be defeated? Shri Ramji, blessed with grace, said – O friend! Listen, the chariot which leads to victory is different.
Sauraj Dheeraj Tehi Rath Chaaka. Truth is the seal, the strong flag is the banner. Force conscience damn the welfare of others. forgiveness, grace, equality, Raju joins.
Meaning: Bravery and patience are the wheels of that chariot. Truth and morality are its strong flag and banner. Strength, wisdom, strength (control of senses) and charity – these are his four horses, which are connected to the chariot with the rope of forgiveness, mercy and equality.॥3॥
This is the wise charioteer of worship. The skin of the satisfaction of the merciful Charity tomorrow wisdom power tremendous. The best science is a hard scepter.
Meaning:- The praise of God is the clever charioteer (who drives that chariot). Detachment is a shield and contentment is a sword. Charity is an axe, intelligence is fierce power, excellent science is a tough bow.॥4॥
Amal achal mana tron samana. Same Jam Rules Silimukh Nana॥ Kavach Abhed Bipra Guru Puja. There is no other solution for this victory.5॥
Meaning: A pure (sinless) and stable mind is like a quiver. Sham (control of mind), (non-violent) Yama and (cleanliness) Niyama – these are many arrows. Worship of Brahmins and Guru is an impenetrable shield. There is no other way to win like this.5॥
Sakha, go in such a religious chariot. Jeetan, what should I say? Ripu stares.॥6॥
Meaning:- Oh friend! He who has such a righteous chariot has no enemy to conquer.॥6॥
Doha: Maha Ajay Sansar Ripu Beer can win. Go this chariot, be strong Sunhu Sakha Matidhir॥80 K॥
Meaning:- O friend of calm mind! Listen, the one who has such a strong chariot, that brave man can conquer even the great insurmountable enemy of the world (birth and death) (what to say of Ravana)॥80 (a)॥
Listen Lord Bachan Bibhishan Harshi Gahe Pad Kanj. this miss mohi preacheshu Ram’s grace and happiness ॥80 b
Meaning:- Hearing the words of the Lord, Vibhishanji became happy and held the lotus feet of the Lord (and said-) O group of blessings and happiness, Shri Ramji! It is on this pretext that you gave me a (great) sermon. ॥80 (भ)॥

Meaning: Ravana is shouting from there and Angad and Hanuman are shouting from here. Demons and bears and monkeys are fighting crying out for their respective masters.80 (c)॥

Meaning: Brahma etc. Gods and many Siddhas and sages are watching the war from the sky mounted on planes. (Shivji says-) Hey Uma! I was also in that society and was watching the enthusiasm of Shri Ramji. 🚩Jai Shri Sitaram ji🚩
