[भज] निताई-गौर राधेश्याम [जप] हरेकृष्ण हरेराम
प्रभु के वृन्दावन जाने से भक्तों को विरह
सज्जनसंगो मा भूद् यदि संगो मास्तु तत्पुनः स्नेहः।
स्नेहो यदि मा विरहो मास्तु जीवितस्याशा।।
दक्षिण की यात्रा समाप्त करने के अनन्तर महाप्रभु के नीलाचल में रहते हुए चार वर्ष हो गये। वृन्दावन जाने के लिये प्रभु प्रतिवर्ष सोचते थे, किन्तु रथयात्रा के पश्चात् भक्त कहते चातुर्मास में यात्रा निषेध है, वे कार्तिक आने पर दिवाली करके जाने को कहते। फिर जाड़ा आ जाता, जाड़ा समाप्त होने पर कहते, बड़ी गर्मी है, पश्चिम में तो और भी अधिक है अब कहाँ जाइयेगा। इस प्रकार आजकल करते-करते ही चार वर्ष व्यतीत हो गये। महाप्रभु राय रामानन्द जी तथा सार्वभौम भट्टाचार्य आदि भक्तों के प्रेम-पाश में इस प्रकार जकड़कर बंधे हुए थे कि वे स्वेच्छा से जाने में समर्थ होने पर भी इन लोगों की सम्मति लिये बिना जाना नहीं चाहते थे। भक्तों ने जब देखा कि अब की बार प्रभु वृन्दावन जाने के लिये तुले ही हुए हैं, तो उन्होंने विवशतापूर्वक अपनी स्वीकृति दे दी। अबके गौड़ीय भक्त रथयात्रा करके ही लौट गये थे, सदा की भाँति उन्होंने चातुर्मास पुरी में नहीं किया था। प्रभु ने उनसे कह दिया था कि तुम चलो हम भी पीछे से आयेंगे। इसी आनन्दमें भक्त प्रसन्नतापूर्वक चले गये थे।
वर्षाकाल समाप्त हो गया। क्वार का महीना आ गया। विजयादशमी के दिन महाप्रभु ने गौड़ होते हुए वृन्दावन जाने का निश्चय किया। प्रातःकाल उठकर वे नित्यकर्म से निवृत्त हुए। समुद्र-स्नान करके प्रभु लौटे भी नहीं थे कि इतने में ही भक्तों की भीड़ लगनी आरम्भ हो गयी। धीरे-धीरे सभी मुख्य-मुख्य भक्त महाप्रभु के स्थानपर एकत्रित हुए। महाप्रभु सभी भक्तों को साथ लेकर श्रीजगन्नाथ जी के दर्शनों के लिये चले। मन्दिर में पहुँचकर प्रभु ने भगवान से आज्ञा माँगी, उसी समय पुजारी ने माला और प्रसाद लाकर प्रभु को दिया। भगवान की प्रसादी, माला और महाप्रसादान्न पाकर प्रभु अत्यन्त ही सन्तुष्ट हुए और इसे ही भगवान की आज्ञा समझकर मन्दिर की प्रदक्षिणा करते हुए वे कटक की ओर चलने लगे। प्रभु के पीछे-पीछे सैकड़ों गौड़देशीय तथा उड़िया-भक्त आँसू बहाते हुए चल रहे थे। महाप्रभु उनसे बार-बार लौटने के लिये कहते, उनसे आग्रह करते, चलते-चलते खड़े हो जाते और सबको प्रेमपूर्वक आलिंगन करते हुए कहते- ‘बस अब हो गया। आपलोग अपने-अपने घरों को लौट जायँ। पुरुषोत्तमभगवान की कृपा होगी तो मैं शीघ्र ही लौटकर आपलोगों के दर्शन करूँगा।’ इस प्रकार प्रभु भाँति-भाँति से उन्हें समझाते, किन्तु कोई पीछे लौटता ही नहीं था, लौटना तो अलग रहा, पीछे की ओर देखने में भी भक्तों का हृदय फटता था, वे प्रभु के वियोगजन्य दुःख का स्मरण आते ही जोरों से रुदन करने लगते। इस प्रकार भक्तों को आग्रह करते-करते ही प्रभु भवानीपुर आ पहुँचे। महाप्रभु ने अब आगे और चलना उचित नहीं समझा, अतः यहीं रात्रि-निवास करने का निश्चय किया। इतने में ही पालकी पर चढ़कर राय रामानंदजी भी प्रभु की सेवा में आ पहुँचे। उनके छोटे भाई वाणीनाथ जी भी भगवान का बहुत-सा प्रसाद कई आदमियों से साथ लिवाकर भवानीपुर आ उपस्थित हुए। महाप्रभु ने अपने हाथों से जगन्नाथजी का महाप्रसाद सभी भक्तों को आग्रहपूर्वक खूब ही खिलाया और आपने भी भक्तों की प्रसन्नता के निमित्त साथ ही प्रसाद पाया। रात्रिभर सभी ने वहीं विश्राम किया।
महाप्रभु के अत्यन्त आग्रह से कुछ तो पुरी को लौट गये, किन्तु बहुत-से प्रभु के साथ ही चलने के लिये तुले हुए थे। उनमें मुकुन्द, गोविन्ददत्त, गदाधर, दामोदर पण्डित, वक्रेश्वर, स्वरूपगोस्वामी, गोविन्द, चन्दनेश्वर, सार्वभौम भट्टाचार्य तथा रामानन्द राय आदि मुख्य थे। महाप्रभु इन सबके साथ भुवनेश्वर आये और वहाँ से दर्शन करके कटक पहुँचे। वहाँ पर सभी ने गोपाल भगवान के दर्शन किये और सभी मिलकर संकीर्तन करने लगे। इसी समय स्वप्नेश्वर नामक एक ब्राह्मण ने प्रभु का निमन्त्रण किया, महाप्रभु उसका निमन्त्रण स्वीकार करके उसके यहाँ भिक्षा करने गये। शेष सभी भक्तों को राय रामानन्द जी ने भोजन कराया।
महाप्रभु ने एक सुन्दर-से वकुलवृक्ष के नीचे अपना आसन लगाया। राय रामानन्द जी उसी समय कटकाधिप महाराज प्रतापरुद्र जी के समीप गये और वहाँ जाकर उन्होंने प्रभु के शुभागमन का समाचार सुनाया। इस सुखद समाचार के सुनते ही महाराज के हर्ष का ठिकाना नहीं रहा। वे अस्त-व्यस्त-भाव से प्रेम में विभोर हुए प्रभु के दर्शनों के लिये चले। उनके पीछे उनके सभी मुख्य-मुख्य राज-कर्मचारी भी प्रभुकी चरण-वन्दना करने के निमित्त चले। महाराज अति दीन-वेश से आँखों में आंसू भरे हुए अत्यन्त ही नम्रता के साथ नंगे ही पांवों प्रभु के समीप जा रहे थे। उन्होंने दूर ही पालकी छोड़ दी थी और पैदल ही प्रभु के समीप पहुँचे। पहुँचते ही वे अधीर होकर प्रभु के पादपद्मों में गिर पड़े। महाराजको अपने पैरों में पड़े देखकर प्रभु जल्दीसे उठकर खड़े हो गये और उन्हें जोरों से आलिंगन करने लगे। महाप्रभु का प्रेमालिंगन पाकर महाराज बेसुध हो गये, प्रभु के नेत्रों से निरन्तर प्रेमाश्रु निकल रहे थे, वे अश्रु उन महाभाग महाराज के सभी वस्त्रों को भिगो रहे थे। उन वस्त्रों का भी सौभाग्य था। बड़ी देर तक यह करुण दृश्य ज्यों-का-त्यों ही बना रहा। फिर महाप्रभु ने महाराज को प्रेमपूर्वक अपने समीप बैठाया और उनके शरीर, राज्य तथा कुटुम्ब-परिवार की कुशल-क्षेम पूछी। बहुत देर तक महाराज प्रभु के समीप बैठे रहे।
महाराज के प्रणाम कर लेने के अनन्तर क्रमशः सभी बड़े-बड़े राज-कर्मचारियों ने प्रभु के पादपद्मों में प्रणाम किया और प्रभु-कृपा की याचना की। महाप्रभु ने उन सभी पर कृपा की और वे सभी से प्रेमपूर्वक कुछ-न-कुछ बातें करते रहे।
महाराज ने प्रभु की यात्रा के पथ में सर्वत्र ही उनके ठहरने तथा नियत समय पर जगन्नाथ जी के प्रसाद पहुँचाने का प्रबन्ध कर दिया। बहुत-से आदमी पहले से ही तैयारी करने के लिये भेजे गये कि जहां-जहाँ प्रभुका ठहरना हो, वहाँ वासस्थान तथा भोजनादि का सभी सुव्यवस्थित प्रबन्ध हो सके। महाप्रभु को पहुँचाने के लिये उन्होंने अपने हरिचन्दनेश्वर और मंगराज नामक दो राजमन्त्रियों को राज्यों की सीमा पार करने के निमित्त प्रभु के साथ कर दिये। महाप्रभु की आज्ञा पाकर महाराज अपनी राजधानी को लौट गये।
चांदनी रात्रि थी, ऋतु बड़ी सुहावनी थी, न तो गर्मी थी न जाड़ा। महाप्रभु ने रात्रि में ही यात्रा करने का निश्चय किया। महाराज की रानियां भी प्रभु के दर्शनों के लिये उत्सुकता प्रकट कर रही थीं, इसीलिये महाराज ने हाथियों पर जरीदार पर्दे डलवाकर उन्हें रास्ते के इधर-उधर खड़ा कर दिया, जिससे वे महाप्रभु के भलीभाँति दर्शन कर सकें। महाप्रभु प्रेम में पागल हुए मन्द-मन्द गति से उधर जाने लगे। उनके पीछे हाथी, घोड़े तथा बहुत-से लोगों की भीड़ चली। इस प्रकार सभी भक्तों के सहित प्रभु चित्रोत्पला नदी के किनारे आये। वहाँ महाराज की ओर से नौका पहले से ही तैयार थी। महाप्रभु ने भक्तों के सहित चित्रोत्पला नदी को पार किया और चतुद्वार में आकर सभी ने रात्रि व्यतीत की। जहाँ से प्रभु ने चित्रोत्पला को पार किया, वहाँ महाराज ने प्रभु की स्मृति में एक बड़ा भारी स्मृतिस्तुप बनवाया और उस घाट को तीर्थ मानकर स्नान करने के निमित्त आने लगे।
गदाधर पण्डित का नाम तो पाठक जानते ही होंगे। ये महाप्रभु की आज्ञा से क्षेत्र-संन्यास लेकर पुरी के निकट गोपीनाथ जी के मन्दिर में उनकी सेवा करते हुए निवास करते थे। किसी तीर्थ में घर-द्वार को छोड़कर प्रतिज्ञापूर्वक रहने को क्षेत्र-संन्यास कहते हैं। वहाँ रहकर भगवत-प्रीत्यर्थ ही सब कार्य किये जायँ, इसी संकल्प से पुरुषोत्तम-क्षेत्र में गदाधर जी निवास करते थे।
जब महाप्रभु गौड़-देश को चलने लगे, तब तो उन्हें पुरुषोत्तम-क्षेत्र में रहना असह्य हो गया और वे सब कुछ छोड़-छाड़कर प्रभु के साथ हो लिये। महाप्रभु के चरणों में उनका दृढ़ अनुराग था, वे महाप्रभु को परित्याग करके क्षणभर भी दूसरी जगह रहना नहीं चाहते थे। महाप्रभु ने इन्हें बहुत समझाया, किन्तु ये किसी प्रकार भी लौटाने को तैयार नहीं हुए। जब महाप्रभु ने अत्यन्त ही आग्रह किया, तब प्रेमजन्य रोष के स्वर में इन्होंने कहा- ‘आप मुझे विवश क्यों कर रहे हैं। जाइये, मैं आपके साथ नहीं जाता। मैं तो नवद्वीप में शचीमाताके दर्शनों के लिये जा रहा हूँ। आप मेरे रास्ते को तो रोक ही न लेंगे। बस, इतना ही है कि मैं आपके साथ नहीं चलूँगा।’ इतना कहकर ये प्रभु से अलग-ही-अलग चलकर कटक होते हुए यहाँ पर आकर मिल गये। महाप्रभु ने इन्हें प्रेमपूर्वक समझाते हुए कहा- ‘देखो, तुम जिद्द करते हो और अपनी बात के सामने किसी की बात मानते नहीं यह अच्छी बात नहीं है। तुम सोचो तो सही तुम्हारे गौड़ चलने से दो महान पाप होंगे, एक तो गोपीनाथभगवान की पूजा रह जायगी, दूसरे तुम्हारी प्रतिज्ञा भंग हो जायगी। इसलिये तुम नीलाचल ही लौट जाओ, मैं शीघ्र लौट आऊँगा।’
प्रेम के अश्रु बहाते हुए गदाधर पण्डित ने कहा- ‘प्रभो! आपके लिये मैं सर्वस्व का त्याग कर सकता हूँ। आपके सामने प्रतिज्ञा कैसी ? प्रतिज्ञा आपके ही लिये तो की है, जहाँ आप हैं वहीं नीलाचल है, इसलिये मैं नीलाचल से पृथक कभी हो ही नहीं सकता।’ महाप्रभु ने कहा- ‘बाबा, तुम्हारा तो कुछ बिगड़ेगा नहीं। पाप सब मेरे ही सिर चढ़ेगा। यदि तुम मुझे पापी बनाना चाहते हो, तो भले ही मेरे साथ चलो, नही तो पुरी लौट जाओ।’
अधीरता के साथ गदाधर स्वामीने कहा- ‘प्रभो! सभी पाप मेरे सिर हैं। मैं सभी पापों को सह लूंगा; किन्तु आपका वियोग नहीं सह सकता।’ तब महाप्रभु ने कठोरता के साथ कहा- ‘गदाधर! तुम मुझे प्रसन्न करना चाहते हो, तो अभी पुरीको लौट जाओ। तुम्हारे साथ चलने से मुझे महान कष्ट होगा। यदि तुम मेरा कुछ भी सम्मान करते हो, तो तुम्हें मैं अपनी शपथ दिलाकर कहता हूँ कि तुम पुरी लौट जाओ।’ यह कहकर प्रभु ने उनका गाढ़ालिंगन किया। प्रभु का आलिंगन पाते ही गदाधर पण्डित मूर्च्छित होकर पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़े। अब आगे कहने को कोई बात ही नहीं रही। उसी समय सुयोग देखकर प्रभु ने खड़े हुए सार्वभौम भट्टाचार्य को देखकर उनसे कहा- ‘भट्टाचार्य महोदय! इन्हें अपने साथ ही पुरी ले जाइये।’
भट्टाचार्य अवाक रह गये। उन्हें कुछ कहने को ही अवसर नहीं मिला। उन्होंने दुःखित चित्त में प्रभु के चरणों में प्रणाम किया।
प्रभु उन्हें प्रेमपूर्वक गले से लगाकर आगे के लिये चल दिये और ये खड़े-खड़े प्रभु की ओर देखते हुए रोते ही रहे। अब महाप्रभु के साथ परमानन्दपुरी, स्वरूपगोस्वामी, जगदानन्द, मुकुन्द, गोविन्द, काशीश्वर, हरिदास आदि सभी भक्त गौड़ जाने की इच्छा से चले। याजपुर में पहुँचकर प्रभु ने उन दोनों राजमन्त्रियों को भी कह-सुनकर लौटा दिया। उस दिन महाप्रभु रात्रिभर रामानन्द जी से कृष्ण-कथा-कीर्तन करते रहे। रेमुना पहुँचकर राय रामानन्द जी को भी प्रभु ने लौट जाने की आज्ञा दी। वे दुःखित मन से रोते-रोते प्रभु की पदधूलि को मस्तक पर चढ़ाकर पीछे को लौटे और महाप्रभु रेमुना को पार करके आगे के लिये चल दिये।
महाप्रभु जिस ग्राम में भी पहुँचते, वहीं महाराज प्रतापरुद्र जी की ओर से प्रभु के स्वागत के निमित्त बहुत-से आदमी मिलते। वे महाप्रभु का खूब सत्कार करते। स्थान-स्थान पर जगन्नाथ जी के प्रसाद का पहले से ही प्रबन्ध था। इस प्रकार रास्ते में कृष्ण-कीर्तन करते हुए और अपने शुभ दर्शनों से ग्रामवासी तथा राजकर्मचारियों को कृतार्थ करते हुए प्रभु उड़ीसा-राज्य की सीमा पर पहुँच गये।

Let there be no association with the righteous, and if association, let there be no affection. If there is love, there is no separation, there is no hope of life.
It has been four years since Mahaprabhu lived in Nilachal after completing his journey to the South. Lord used to think every year to go to Vrindavan, but after the Rath Yatra, the devotees said that travel is prohibited in Chaturmas, they would ask to go after Diwali when Kartik comes. Then winter comes, when the winter is over, they say, it is very hot, it is even more in the west, where will we go now. Four years have passed by doing this nowadays. Mahaprabhu Rai Ramanand ji and Sarvabhaum Bhattacharya etc. were so tightly bound in the love-loop of the devotees that even though they were able to go voluntarily, they did not want to go without taking the consent of these people. When the devotees saw that this time the Lord was determined to go to Vrindavan, they reluctantly gave their approval. This time the Gaudiya devotees had returned after the Rath Yatra, as usual they did not do Chaturmas in Puri. The Lord told them that you go, we will also come from behind. In this joy, the devotees went away happily.
The rainy season is over. The month of Quar has come. On the day of Vijayadashami, Mahaprabhu decided to go to Vrindavan via Gaur. Waking up early in the morning, he retired from his routine. The Lord had not even returned after taking a bath in the sea when the crowd of devotees started gathering. Slowly all the main devotees gathered at Mahaprabhu’s place. Mahaprabhu took all the devotees along with him and went for the darshan of Shri Jagannath ji. After reaching the temple, the Lord sought permission from God, at the same time the priest brought garland and prasad and gave it to the Lord. Prabhu was extremely satisfied after receiving Lord’s prasadi, garland and Mahaprasadanna and considering this as God’s order, he started walking towards Cuttack after circumambulating the temple. Hundreds of Gaudeshiya and Oriya-devotees were walking behind the Lord shedding tears. Mahaprabhu asked them to return again and again, urging them, standing while walking and lovingly hugging everyone, saying – ‘It’s over now. You go back to your respective homes. With the grace of Lord Purushottam, I will return soon and see you.’ In this way, the Lord used to explain to them in different ways, but no one used to return back, let alone return, the hearts of the devotees used to break even when they looked back, they started crying loudly as soon as they remembered the sorrow of separation from the Lord. In this way, after urging the devotees, the Lord reached Bhawanipur. Mahaprabhu did not think it appropriate to walk any further, so he decided to stay here for the night. In the meantime, Rai Ramanandji also reached on the palanquin to serve the Lord. His younger brother Vaninath ji also came to Bhawanipur after taking a lot of God’s prasad along with many men. Mahaprabhu fed Jagannathji’s Mahaprasad with his own hands to all the devotees with great insistence and you also got Prasad along with it for the happiness of the devotees. Everyone rested there for the whole night.
Some returned to Puri on Mahaprabhu’s utmost insistence, but many were bent on walking with the Lord. Among them Mukund, Govind Dutt, Gadadhar, Damodar Pandit, Vakreshwar, Swaroop Goswami, Govind, Chandaneshwar, Sarvabhaum Bhattacharya and Ramanand Rai etc. were the main ones. Mahaprabhu came to Bhubaneswar with all of them and reached Cuttack after having darshan from there. There everyone had darshan of Lord Gopal and all together started chanting. At the same time a Brahmin named Swapneshwar invited the Lord, Mahaprabhu accepted his invitation and went to his place for alms. Rai Ramanand ji provided food to all the remaining devotees.
Mahaprabhu took his seat under a beautiful Vakul tree. Rai Ramanand ji went near Katkadhip Maharaj Prataparudra ji at the same time and went there and told the news of the auspicious arrival of the Lord. On hearing this good news, Maharaj’s joy knew no bounds. They went for the darshan of the Lord who was overwhelmed with love. Following him, all his chief officials also went to worship the feet of the Lord. Maharaj was going near the Lord barefoot with utmost humility with tears in his eyes from very humble attire. He had left the palanquin far away and reached near the Lord on foot. As soon as he reached, he became impatient and fell at the lotus feet of the Lord. Seeing Maharaj lying at his feet, the Lord quickly got up and started hugging him. Maharaj became unconscious after receiving the love of Mahaprabhu, tears of love were continuously coming out of the eyes of the Lord, those tears were soaking all the clothes of Mahabhag Maharaj. Those clothes were also fortunate. For a long time this pathetic scene remained as it was. Then Mahaprabhu lovingly made Maharaj sit near him and inquired about the well-being of his body, kingdom and family. Maharaj sat near the Lord for a long time.
After salutations to Maharaj, all the senior royal officials prostrated themselves at the lotus feet of the Lord and begged for the Lord’s grace. Mahaprabhu showed kindness to all of them and they kept on lovingly talking something or the other to all of them.
Maharaj made arrangements for his stay everywhere on the path of the Lord’s journey and to deliver Prasad to Jagannath ji at the appointed time. Many men were sent in advance to make preparations that wherever the Lord has to stay, there should be proper arrangements for accommodation and food etc. In order to reach Mahaprabhu, he made his two ministers named Harichandaneshwar and Mangaraj accompany the Lord to cross the border of the states. After getting the permission of Mahaprabhu, Maharaj returned to his capital.
It was a moonlit night, the weather was very pleasant, it was neither hot nor cold. Mahaprabhu decided to travel at night only. Maharaj’s queens were also showing eagerness to see the Lord, that’s why Maharaj put brocade curtains on the elephants and made them stand here and there on the way, so that they could have a good darshan of Mahaprabhu. Madly in love Mahaprabhu started going there at a slow pace. A crowd of elephants, horses and many people followed them. In this way the Lord along with all the devotees came to the banks of the river Chitrotpala. There the boat was already ready from Maharaj’s side. Mahaprabhu crossed the Chitrotpala river along with the devotees and after coming to Chatudwar everyone spent the night. From where the Lord crossed the Chitrotpala, Maharaj got a huge memorial stupa built in the memory of the Lord and started coming to that ghat to take a bath considering it as a pilgrimage.
Readers must be knowing the name of Gadadhar Pandit. By the order of Mahaprabhu, after taking retirement from the field, he used to reside in the temple of Gopinath ji near Puri while serving him. Leaving home and living in a pilgrimage with a vow is called Kshetra-Sanyas. Staying there, all work should be done for Bhagwat-Prityarth, with this resolution, Gadadhar ji used to reside in Purushottam-kshetra.
When Mahaprabhu started moving to Gaudesh, then living in Purushottam-kshetra became unbearable for him and he left everything and joined the Lord. He had strong affection at Mahaprabhu’s feet, he did not want to leave Mahaprabhu and live in another place even for a moment. Mahaprabhu explained a lot to him, but he was not ready to return in any way. When Mahaprabhu urged a lot, then in the voice of love’s fury, he said – ‘Why are you forcing me. Go, I don’t go with you. I am going to Navadvipa to visit Sachimata. You will not block my way at all. It’s just that I won’t go with you.’ Having said this, they walked separately from the Lord and met him here via Cuttack. Mahaprabhu explaining them lovingly said- ‘Look, you are stubborn and do not listen to anyone’s words in front of your words, this is not a good thing. If you think about it, you will commit two great sins by walking in your cow, one, the worship of Lord Gopinath will remain, and second, your vow will be broken. That’s why you go back to Neelachal, I will return soon.’
Gadadhar Pandit said while shedding tears of love – ‘ Lord! I can sacrifice everything for you. How is the promise in front of you? The promise is made for you only, where you are there is Neelachal, that’s why I can never be separated from Neelachal.’ Mahaprabhu said – ‘ Baba, nothing will happen to you. All the sins will be on my head. If you want to make me a sinner, then even if you come with me, go back to Puri.’
Gadadhar Swami said with impatience – ‘Lord! All sins are on my head. I will bear all the sins; But I cannot bear your separation.’ Then Mahaprabhu said with harshness – ‘ Gadadhar! If you want to please me, then go back to Puriko now. It would be a great pain for me to walk with you. If you respect me at all, I swear to you that you return to Puri.’ Saying this, the Lord hugged him deeply. Gadadhar Pandit fainted and fell on the earth as soon as he received the Lord’s embrace. Now there is nothing left to say further. At the same time, seeing the good fortune, the Lord saw Sarvabhaum Bhattacharya standing and said to him- ‘Sir Bhattacharya! Take them with you to Puri.’
Bhattacharya was speechless. He didn’t even get a chance to say anything. He bowed at the feet of the Lord with a sad heart.
Prabhu hugged him lovingly and walked ahead and he kept crying while standing looking at Prabhu. Now Parmanandpuri, Swaroop Goswami, Jagdanand, Mukund, Govind, Kashishwar, Haridas etc. all the devotees along with Mahaprabhu left with the desire to go to Gaur. After reaching Yazpur, the Lord sent back both those ministers after telling them. That day, Mahaprabhu kept reciting Krishna-Katha-Kirtan with Ramanand ji throughout the night. After reaching Remuna, the Lord also ordered Rai Ramanand ji to return. Weeping with a sad heart, he returned back after putting the dust of the Lord’s feet on his head and crossed Mahaprabhu Remuna and went ahead.
Wherever Mahaprabhu used to reach, many people would meet there on behalf of Maharaj Prataparudra to welcome the Lord. He used to respect Mahaprabhu a lot. There was already arrangement for Jagannath ji’s prasad at every place. In this way, while doing Krishna-Kirtan on the way and doing good deeds to the villagers and government officials with his auspicious darshans, the Lord reached the border of Orissa-state.
