Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Who is a Vaishnava.

Who is a Vaishnava.
Once, a person from Kulina village asked Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, “Who is a Vaishnava.”
Mahaprabhu replied, “One who utters the name of God (Lord Vishnu) even once is a Vaishnava.”
Many disciples lived with Chaitanya Mahaprabhu who constantly remembered and chanted the holy name of God. After some time, one of them asked again, “Who is a Vaishnava.”
Mahaprabhu said, “One who continuously chants the holy name of the Lord day and night is a Vaishnava.”
Among his disciples, there were also some who traveled to villages and towns, performing Naam Sankirtan and inspiring others to do the same. One of them asked again, “Who is a Vaishnava.”
This time, Mahaprabhu gave a profound answer. “One upon seeing whom, people naturally begin to chant the holy name of God — that person is a Vaishnava. Truly, a Vaishnava is one whose association inspires others to become devotees and chant the Lord’s name.”
Chaitanya Mahaprabhu gave different answers to the same question based on the capacity, qualification, and spiritual level of the questioners.
For one who had never chanted God’s name, he said chant at least once in life.
For one who chanted occasionally, he advised chanting continuously.
For one who already chanted constantly, he encouraged inspiring others to chant as well.
People are influenced not just by words, but by conduct. A true Vaishnava attracts others through both speech and actions.
Qualities of a Vaishnava.
One who gives fearlessness to the fearful.
One who imparts knowledge.
One who provides food and water to the hungry and thirsty.
One who serves the sick and needy.
One who creates gardens and plants trees for public welfare.
One who performs cow service.
Such people are known as Vaishnavas.
Essence.
Bhakti comes from the root word “Bhaj”, which means to serve. So true devotion is not just chanting, it is service combined with remembrance of God.
Final Thought.
A true Vaishnava is not only one who chants, but one whose life itself becomes an inspiration leading others toward God.
