भगवान शिव और माँ पार्वती के लाल श्री गणेश जी सभी देवों में अग्रपूज्य स्वीकार किए जाते हैं। गणेश जी का स्वरूप बड़ा ही अनुपम और अनेक सीखों से भरा पड़ा है।

भगवान गणेश पर हाथी का मस्तक विराजमान है। हाथी हमेशा अपने सामने वाली वस्तु को उसके वास्तविक स्वरूप से दुगुना बड़ा देखता है। अर्थात गणेश जी महाराज भी अपने सामने वाले को दुगुना करके ही देखते हैं। अर्थात सबको अति सम्मानपूर्ण दृष्टि से देखते हैं।

भगवान गणेश के बड़े बड़े कान हमें संकेत करते हैं कि हमेशा बड़ा अथवा श्रेष्ठ सुना करो। व्यर्थ के वाद विवाद में अपने अमूल्य समय को नष्ट मत करो।

भगवान गणेश को लम्बोदर भी कहा जाता है। अर्थात जीवन के भले – बुरे, खट्टे- मीठे और अनुकूल – प्रतिकूल सभी बातों अथवा सभी अनुभवों को अपने पेट में रखना अथवा पचाना सीखो!

भारी भरकम शरीर होने के बाद भी गणेश जी मूषक (चूहे) की सवारी करते हैं। अर्थात चाहे आप जीवन में कितने ही ऊँचे क्यों न उठ जाओ पर आपके पैर सदा जमीन पर ही होने चाहिएँ। अपने जीवन को हल्का बनाओ और विनम्र बनाओ।

दूसरों को सम्मान देने की कला, सदैव उच्च विचारों के चिंतन और मनन की कला, अनुकूलता – प्रतिकूलता सभी परिस्थितियों में समदृष्टि रखने की कला और अपने आप को सदैव विनम्र और शिष्ट रखने की कला मनुष्य को अग्रपूज्य बना देती है, यही तो गणेश जी महाराज के स्वरूप का संदेश है।

Shri Ganesh ji, the son of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati, is accepted as the most revered among all the gods. The form of Lord Ganesha is very unique and full of many lessons.

The head of an elephant sits on Lord Ganesha. An elephant always sees the object in front of it as twice larger than its actual size. That means even Ganesh Ji Maharaj sees the person in front of him with double vision. That means everyone is looked at with utmost respect.

Despite having a heavy body, Lord Ganesha rides a mouse. That is, no matter how high you rise in life, your feet should always be on the ground. Lighten your life and make it humble.
