हिंदी में अर्थ : इस पंचमुख हनुमत कवच स्तोत्र के ऋषि ब्रह्मा हैं, छंद गायत्री है, देवता पंचमुख विराट हनुमानजी हैं, ह्रीम् बीज मन्त्र है, श्रीम् शक्ति है, क्रौम् कीलक है, क्रूम् कवच है और ‘क्रैम् अस्त्राय फट्’ मन्त्र दिग्बन्ध हैं।
श्री गरुड उवाच
अथ ध्यानं प्रवक्ष्यामि शृणु सर्वांगसुंदर,
यत्कृतं देवदेवेन ध्यानं हनुमत: प्रियम् ॥
हिंदी में अर्थ : गरुड़जी ने उद्घोष किया हे सर्वांगसुंदर, देवाधिदेव के द्वारा, उन्हें प्रिय रहने वाला जो हनुमानजी का ध्यान लगाया, मैं उनके नाम का सुमिरण करता हूँ। मैं उस सुन्दर महिला का ध्यान करता हूँ जिन्होंने आपको बनाया है।
पञ्चवक्त्रं महाभीमं त्रिपञ्चनयनैर्युतम्,
बाहुभिर्दशभिर्युक्तं सर्वकामार्थसिद्धिदम्।।
हिंदी में अर्थ : श्री हनुमान जी पाँच मुख वाले, अत्यन्त विशालकाय, पंद्रह नेत्र (त्रि-पञ्च-नयन) धारी हैं, श्री हनुमान जी दस हाथों वाले हैं, वे सकल काम एवं अर्थ इन पुरुषार्थों की सिद्धि कराने वाले देव हैं। भाव है की श्री हनुमान जी पाँच मुख वाले, पंद्रह नेत्र धारी और दस हाथों वाले हैं जो सभी कार्यों को सिद्ध करते हैं।
पूर्वं तु वानरं वक्त्रं कोटिसूर्यसमप्रभम्,
दंष्ट्राकरालवदनं भ्रुकुटिकुटिलेक्षणम्॥
हिंदी में अर्थ : श्री हनुमान जी का मुख सदा ही पर्व दिशा की और रहता है, पूर्व मुखी हैं। श्री हनुमान जी जो वानर मुखी हैं, उनका तेज करोड़ों सूर्य के तुल्य है। श्री हनुमान जी के मुख पर विशाल दाढ़ी है और इनकी भ्रकुटी टेढ़ी हैं। ऐसे दांत वाले श्री हनुमान जी हैं।
अस्यैव दक्षिणं वक्त्रं नारसिंहं महाद्भुतम्,
अत्युग्रतेजोवपुषं भीषणं भयनाशनम् ॥
हिंदी में अर्थ : श्री हनुमान जी बदन दक्षिण दिशा में देखने वाला है और इनका मुख सिंह मुखी है जो अत्यंत ही दिव्य और अद्भुद है। श्री हनुमान जी का मुख भय को समाप्त करने वाला है। श्री हनुमान जी का मुख शत्रुओं के लिए भय पैदा करने वाला है।
पश्चिमं गारुडं वक्त्रं वक्रतुण्डं महाबलम्,
सर्वनागप्रशमनं विषभूतादिकृन्तनम्॥
हिंदी में अर्थ : श्री हनुमान जी का जो मुख पश्चिम दिशा में देखने वाला है वह गरुद्मुख है और वह मुख अत्यंत ही बलवान और सामर्थ्यशाली है। विष और भूत को (समस्त बाधाओं को दूर करने वाला) दूर करने वाला गरुडानन है। साँपों और भूतों को दूर करने वाले हैं।
उत्तरं सौकरं वक्त्रं कृष्णं दीप्तं नभोपमम्|
पातालसिंहवेतालज्वररोगादिकृन्तनम्,
हिंदी में अर्थ : श्री हनुमान जी का उत्तर दिशा में देखने वाला मुख वराहमुख (आगे की और मुख निकला हुआ ) है। वराह्मुख श्री हनुमान जी कृष्ण वर्ण के हैं और उनकी तुलना आकाश से की जा सकती है। श्री हनुमान जी पाताल वासियों के प्रमुख बेताल और भूलोक के कष्ट हरने वाले हैं। बिमारियों और ज्वर को समूल नष्ट करने वाले ऐसे वराहमुख हनुमान जी हैं।
ऊर्ध्वं हयाननं घोरं दानवान्तकरं परम्|
येन वक्त्रेण विप्रेन्द्र तारकाख्यं महासुरम् ॥
जघान शरणं तत्स्यात्सर्वशत्रुहरं परम्|
ध्यात्वा पञ्चमुखं रुद्रं हनुमन्तं दयानिधिम् ॥
हिंदी में अर्थ : ऊर्ध्व दिशा मुखी हनुमान जी हैं जो दानवों का नाश करने वाले हैं। हे हनुमान जी (वीपेंद्र) जी आप गायत्री के उपासक हैं और आप असुरों का नाश करने वाले हैं। हमें ऐसे पंचमुखी हनुमान जी की शरण में रहना चाहिए। श्री हनुमान जी रूद्र और दयानिधि हैं इनकी शरण में हमें रहना चाहिए। श्री हनुमान जी भक्तों के लिए दयालु और शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले हैं।
खड़्गं त्रिशूलं खट्वाङ्गं पाशमङ्कुशपर्वतम् |
मुष्टिं कौमोदकीं वृक्षं धारयन्तं कमण्डलुम् ॥
भिन्दिपालं ज्ञानमुद्रां दशभिर्मुनिपुङ्गवम्|
एतान्यायुधजालानि धारयन्तं भजाम्यहम्॥
हिंदी में अर्थ : श्री पंचमुख हनुमान जी हाथों में तलवार, त्रिशूल और खडग धारी हैं। श्री हनुमान जी के हाथों में तलवार, त्रिशूल, खट्वाङ्ग नाम का आयुध, पाश, अंकुश, पर्वत है और मुष्टि नाम का आयुध, कौमोदकी गदा, वृक्ष और कमंडलु पंचमुख हनुमानजी ने धारण कर रखें हैं। श्री हनुमान जी ने भिंदिपाल (लोहे धातु से बना अस्त्र) अस्त्र को धारण कर रखा है। श्री हनुमान जी का दसवां शस्त्र ज्ञान मूद्रा है।
प्रेतासनोपविष्टं तं सर्वाभरणभूषितम्|
दिव्यमाल्याम्बरधरं दिव्यगन्धानुलेपनम्॥
हिंदी में अर्थ : श्री हनुमान जी प्रेतासन पर बैठे हैं और उन्होंने समस्त आभूषण धारण कर रखें हैं, श्री हनुमान जी ने दिव्य मालाएं ग्रहण कर रखी हैं जो आकाश के समान हैं और यह दिव्य गंध का लेप समस्त बाधाओं को दूर करने वाला है।
सर्वाश्चर्यमयं देवं हनुमद्विश्वतो मुखम् ॥
पञ्चास्यमच्युतमनेकविचित्रवर्णवक्त्रं
शशाङ्कशिखरं कपिराजवर्यम्|
पीताम्बरादिमुकुटैरुपशोभिताङ्गं
पिङ्गाक्षमाद्यमनिशं मनसा स्मरामि॥
हिंदी में अर्थ : श्री हनुमान जी समस्त आश्चर्यों से भरे हुए हैं और श्री हनुमान जी जिन्होंने विश्व में सर्वत्र जिन्होंने मुख किया है, ऐसे ये पंचमुख-हनुमानजी हैं और ये पॉंच मुख रहने वाले (पञ्चास्य), अच्युत और अनेक अद्भुत वर्णयुक्त (रंगयुक्त) मुख रहने वाले हैं। श्री हनुमान जी ने चन्द्रमा को अपने शीश पर धारण कर रखा है और सभी कपियों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ रहने वाले ऐसे ये हनुमानजी हैं। श्री हनुमान जी पीतांबर, मुकुट आदि से सुशोभित हैं। श्री हनुमान जी पिङ्गाक्षं, आद्यम् और अनिशं हैं। ऐसे इन पंचमुख-हनुमानजी का हम मनःपूर्वक स्मरण करते हैं।
मर्कटेशं महोत्साहं सर्वशत्रुहरं परम्|
शत्रुं संहर मां रक्ष श्रीमन्नापदमुद्धर॥
हिंदी में अर्थ : श्री हनुमान जी वानरों में श्रेष्ठ हैं, प्रचंड हैं और बहुत उत्साही भी हैं। श्री हनुमान जी शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले हैं और में रक्षा कीजिये मेरा उद्धार कीजिये वानरश्रेष्ठ, प्रचंड उत्साही हनुमानजी सारे शत्रुओं का नि:पात करते हैं।हे श्रीमन् पंचमुख-हनुमानजी, मेरे शत्रुओं का संहार कीजिए। संकट में से मेरा उध्दार कीजिए।
ॐ हरिमर्कट मर्कट मन्त्रमिदं परिलिख्यति लिख्यति वामतले|
यदि नश्यति नश्यति शत्रुकुलं यदि मुञ्चति मुञ्चति वामलता॥
ॐ हरिमर्कटाय स्वाहा|
हिंदी में अर्थ : महाप्राण हनुमानजी के बाँये पैर के तलवे के नीचे ‘ॐ हरिमर्कटाय स्वाहा’ लिखने से उसके केवल शत्रु का ही नहीं बल्कि शत्रुकुल का नाश हो जायेगा। श्री हनुमान जी वामलता को यानी दुरितता को, तिमिरप्रवृत्ति को हनुमानजी समूल नष्ट कर देते हैं और ऐसे एक बदन को स्वाहा कहकर नमस्कार किया है।

हिंदी में अर्थ : सकल शत्रुओं का संहार करने वाले पूर्वमुख को, कपिमुख को, भगवान श्री पंचमुख-हनुमानजी को मेरा नमन है।
ॐ नमो भगवते पञ्चवदनाय दक्षिणमुखाय करालवदनाय नरसिंहाय सकलभूतप्रमथनाय स्वाहा|
हिंदी में अर्थ : दुष्प्रवृत्तियों के प्रति भयानक मुख रहने वाले (करालवदनाय), सारे भूतों का उच्छेद करने वाले, दक्षिणमुख को, नरसिंहमुख को, भगवान श्री पंचमुख-हनुमानजी को मेरा नमस्कार है।

हिंदी में अर्थ : सारे विषों का हरण करने वाले पश्चिममुख को, गरुडमुख को, भगवान श्री पंचमुख-हनुमानजी को मेरा नमस्कार है।

हिंदी में अर्थ : सकल संपदाएँ प्रदान करने वाले उत्तरमुख को, आदिवराहमुख को, भगवान श्री पंचमुख-हनुमानजी को मेरा नमस्कार है।
