Love for the Holy Name of Shri Hari
O Ocean of Mercy! O Compassionate Lord Gaurahari!
By manifesting the chanting of Your holy names (Nāma Saṅkīrtana), You have made the path to God-realization extremely easy for us fallen souls.
Experiencing Your devotion, Your compassion, and Your causeless grace (ahaitukī kṛpā), even my stone-like heart begins to melt.
Yet, even after trying to hold Your words within my heart, my mind does not naturally incline toward chanting Your holy name.
O Lord, I have no doubt in Your teachings—
but the coverings accumulated over many lifetimes upon my heart cannot be removed by my own strength.
O Bestower of devotion, O beautiful Gaurasundar!
Your mercy is infinite. Through Your teachings, You revealed the glory of the holy name of Shri Hari for the souls of this age (Kaliyuga).
You work for the welfare of all—those who take shelter of You and even those who do not.
You revealed that by singing the various names of the Lord, His divine pastimes (līlās) manifest in the heart.
Your love for devotees (bhakta-vatsalatā) is so natural that You Yourself taste devotion by appearing as a devotee.
Your entire life is a living expression of the many dimensions of devotion.
You even renounced great scholarship and offered all knowledge at the lotus feet of Shri Hari.
You showed that the essence of all knowledge is the holy name of Hari.
God-realization cannot be attained by knowledge alone—
any knowledge that does not lead to devotion is to be rejected.
All knowledge is a form of the Lord’s energy,
but its true beauty lies only when it is dedicated to His name.
Just like a beautifully adorned bride has meaning only when she is for her beloved,
similarly, knowledge finds its fulfillment only in the chanting of the holy name.
O Gaurasundar!
Please bless all beings with love for the holy name of Shri Hari.
May every soul experience the sweetness of Your name and feel Your compassion within.
In chanting Your name, You have removed all restrictions—there is no limitation of time or place.
O Compassionate Lord! No one has the ability to fully describe Your mercy—
yet this insignificant voice cannot remain silent upon seeing it.
Please reside in every heart as the divine name,
and dance upon every tongue as the holy name.

Closing Verse (Poetic Translation)
Sing “Hari! Hari!” O brothers,
earn the wealth of the holy name every day.
The holy name is the essence of all—
this truth the Lord Himself has revealed.
The name is the path, the name is the goal—
this wisdom is given to every soul.
Raise both hands and sing aloud,
for the name of Hari brings supreme joy.
Day and night gather this treasure of the name,
abandon pride and false prestige.
Says the simple-hearted one: grant me the alms of the holy name—
this alone is my humble prayer.

श्रीहरिनाम में अनुराग
हे दयासिन्धु ! हे करुणाकर! गौरहरि आपने नाम संकीर्तन प्रकट हर हम अधम जीवों हेतु भगवत प्राप्ति को अति सहज कर दिया है। आपकी भक्त परायणता ,आपकी करुणा ,आपकी अहैतुकि कृपा का अनुभव कर मेरा पाषाणवत हृदय भी दृवीभूत हुआ जाता है। आपकी वाणी को भी हृदयस्थ कर लेने पर मुझ अधम का चित्त नाम मे सहजता से प्रवृत्त नहीं हो पा रहा है। यधपि आपकी वाणी में मुझे कोई संदेह नहीं है श्रीप्रभु जी , परन्तु मेरे हृदय पर जन्मों से पड़े हुए आवरण को हटाना मेरे बल द्वारा सम्भव नहीं है।
हे भक्तिप्रदाता गौरसुन्दर ! आपकी कृपा तो अनन्त है। आपने अपने उपदेश द्वारा श्रीहरिनाम की महिमा को कलियुग के जीवों के सम्मुख प्रकट करने को ही अपनी लीला प्रकट की है। आप सर्व रूपेण अपने आश्रित अनाश्रित सबका मंगल करने वाले हो। श्रीहरि के विभिन्न नामों के गायन द्वारा श्रीहरि की विभिन्न लीलाओं के प्रकट होने का आपने ही रहस्य जीवों के सम्मुख प्रस्तुत किया है। आपकी भक्तवत्सलता इतनी सहज है कि प्रभु आप इसके आस्वादन को भक्त रूप में ही लीला कर रहे हो। आपका सम्पूर्ण जीवन ही भक्ति के विभिन्न आयामों का साक्षात प्राकट्य है। आपने अपनी लीला द्वारा भी आपने प्रकांड पांडित्य का त्याग करते हुए समस्त विद्या को श्रीहरि चरणों मे निवेदित किया है। समस्त विद्या का सार श्रीहरिनाम को ही प्रकट कर आपने जीवों के कल्याण हेतु अपनी लीला प्रकट की है। भगवत प्राप्ति केवल ज्ञान द्वारा नहीं हो सकती अपितु प्रत्येक विद्या जो हरिभक्ति प्रदान नहीं करती वह त्याज्य है। समस्त विधा श्रीहरि की ही शक्तियां हैं तथा सभी विद्या रूपी वधु का जीवन श्रीहरिनाम ही है। जो विद्या किसी जीव को भगवतोन्मुखी न करे ऐसी विद्या उस श्रृंगारित स्त्री के समान है जिसका श्रृंगार उसके स्वामी हेतु न हो। अर्थात विद्या रूपी वधु का श्रृंगार श्रीहरिनाम में ही है।
हे गौरसुन्दर! आप सब जीवों के हृदय में श्रीहरिनाम का अनुराग प्रदान करें । प्रत्येक जीव आपके नाम रूपी रस की प्राप्ति करके आपकी करुणा को हृदय में अनुभव करने के समर्थ हो। नाम संकीर्तन में आपने सब जीवों को इतनी छूट प्रदान कर दी है कि इसमें स्थान तथा काल का भी कोई नियम नहीं रखा। हे करुणेश ! आपकी करुणा का बखान करने का सामर्थ्य भी किसी जीव के पास नहीं है परन्तु यह शुद्र सी वाणी आपकी करुणा देख देख मौन भी नहीं रह पाती। हे गौरसुन्दर आप सबके हृदय में नाम प्रभु रूप से विराजिए तथा प्रत्येक जिव्हा पर नाम रूप में नृत्य कीजिये।श्रीचैतन्य देव आपकी जय हो! श्रीहरिनाम संकीर्तन की जय हो!
हरि हरि गाओ रे भाई कीजौ नित नाम कमाई रे !!
हरिनाम ही सार सकल है विधि हरि आप बताई रे!!
नाम ही साधन नाम ही सिद्धि हरि बात यह जीव बताई रे!!
गाओ हाथ उठाय दोऊ हरि हरि नाम बड़ा सुखदाई रे!!
निशदिन नाम धन संचय कीजौ छोड़ो मान बड़ाई रे!!
कहे बाँवरी नाम की भिक्षा दीजौ याहि अरज लगाई रे!!
