श्री निकुंज-विहारिणी किशोरी जी का स्वभाव इतना सरल है जितना मैंने न कहीं देखा है और न सुना ही है, यह मैं प्रतिज्ञापूर्वक कह रहा हूँ ।
जिन किशोरी जी के चरणों के नाखून की चमक को निराकार-ब्रह्म के रूप में भगवान् शंकर निर्विकल्प समाधि में अनुभव करते हैं, उन्हीं किशोरी जी के साथ ‘उनकी उदारता के कारण’ ब्रज की निरन्तर वनचरियाँ भी नित्य विहार करती हैं ।
किशोरी जी की उदारता का सबसे महान् परिचय यह है कि अपने शरणागत के करुण क्रन्दन को सुनकर प्रियतम श्यामसुन्दर को भी छोड़कर तत्काल भागकर उसके पास जाती हैं । किशोरी जी की शरणागति के ही परिणामस्वरूप श्यामसुन्दर को “अशरण – शरण” की उपाधि प्राप्त हुई है ।
