।। श्रीरामचरितमानस- उत्तरकाण्ड ।।
चौपाई-
इहाँ भानुकुल कमल दिवाकर।
कपिन्ह देखावत नगर मनोहर।।
सुनु कपीस अंगद लंकेसा।
पावन पुरी रुचिर यह देसा।।
जद्यपि सब बैकुंठ बखाना।
बेद पुरान बिदितजगु जाना।।
अवधपुरी सम प्रिय नहिं सोऊ।
यह प्रसंग जानइ कोउ कोऊ।।
जन्मभूमि मम पुरी सुहावनी।
उत्तर दिसि बह सरजू पावनि।।
जा मज्जन ते बिनहिं प्रयासा।
मम समीप नर पावहिं बासा।।
अति प्रिय मोहि इहाँ के बासी।
मम धामदा पुरी सुख रासी।।
हरषे सब कपि सुनि प्रभु बानी।
धन्य अवध जो राम बखानी।।
भावार्थ-
यहाँ (लंका विजय के पश्चात अयोध्या पहुंचने पर विमान पर से) सूर्यकुलरूपी कमल के प्रफुल्लित करनेवाले सूर्य श्रीरामजी वानरोंको मनोहर नगर दिखला रहे हैं।
वे कहते है- हे सुग्रीव ! हे अंगद ! हे लंकापति विभीषण ! सुनो। यह पुरी पवित्र है और यह देश सुन्दर है। यद्यपि सबने वैकुण्ठ की बड़ाई की है- यह वेद पुराणों में प्रसिद्ध है और जगत् जानता है, परन्तु अवधपुरी के समान मुझे वह भी प्रिय नहीं है। यह बात (भेद) कोई-कोई (विरले ही) जानते हैं।
यह सुहावनी पुरी मेरी जन्मभूमि है। उसके उत्तर दिशा में जीवों को पवित्र करने वाली सरयू नदी बहती है, जिसमें स्नान करने से मनुष्य बिना ही परिश्रम मेरे समीप निवास (सामीप्य मुक्ति) पा जाते हैं।
यहाँ के निवासी मुझे बहुत ही प्रिय हैं। यह पुरी सुख की राशि और मेरे परमधाम को देनेवाली है। प्रभु की वाणी सुनकर सब वानर हर्षित हुए और कहने लगे कि जिस अवध की स्वयं श्रीराम जी ने बड़ाई की, वह अवश्य ही धन्य है।
दोहा-
आवत देखि लोग सब कृपासिंधु भगवान।
नगर निकट प्रभु प्रेरेउ भूमि बिमान।।
उतरि कहेउ प्रभु पुष्पकहि तुम्ह कुबेर पहिं जाहु।
प्रेरित राम चलेउ सो हरषु बिरहु अति ताहु।।
भावार्थ-
कृपासागर भगवान् श्रीरामचन्द्र जी ने सब लोगों को आते देखा, तो प्रभु ने विमान को नगर के समीप उतरने की प्रेरणा की। तब वह पृथ्वी पर उतरा।
विमान से उतरकर प्रभु ने पुष्पकविमान से कहा कि तुम अब कुबेर के पास जाओ। श्रीराम जी की प्रेरणा से वाहक चले। उसे, अपने स्वामी के पास जाने का हर्ष है और प्रभु श्रीरामचन्द्र जी से अलग होने का अत्यन्त दुःख भी ! ।। जय भगवान श्री राम ।।

gist- Here (from the plane after reaching Ayodhya after conquering Lanka) Surya Shri Ramji, who makes the lotus of the Surya clan happy, is showing the beautiful city to the monkeys.
He says- Oh Sugriva! Hey Angad! Hey Lankapati Vibhishana! Listen. This place is holy and this country is beautiful. Although everyone has praised Vaikuntha – it is famous in the Vedas and Puranas and is known to the world, but I am not as fond of it as Avadhpuri. Only a few (rarely) know this thing (secret).
This pleasant Puri is my birthplace. In its northern direction, the Saryu river flows which purifies the living beings, by taking bath in it, people attain salvation (salvation in proximity) near me without any hard work.
The residents here are very dear to me. This is the amount of complete happiness and will give to my supreme abode. Hearing the voice of the Lord, all the monkeys became happy and started saying that Awadh, which was praised by Shri Ram himself, is definitely blessed.
Doha- Seeing people coming, Lord Kripasindhu. The Lord sent the earth plane near the city.
Utri kaheu prabhu pushpakahi tumh kuber pahin jahu. Prerit Ram chaleu so harshu birhu ati tahu।।
gist- When the merciful Lord Shri Ramchandra ji saw all the people coming, the Lord inspired the plane to land near the city. Then he descended to earth.
After getting down from the plane, the Lord told Pushpakaviman that you should now go to Kuber. The carriers moved with the inspiration of Shri Ram ji. He is happy to go to his master and also extremely sad to be separated from Lord Shri Ramchandra ji. , Jai Lord Shri Ram..
