लघुविष्णु सहस्त्र नाम स्तोत्रम्

अगर हम विष्णुपुराण वर्णित लघुविष्णुसहस्रनाम का ही पाठ करें तो निश्चित ही विष्णु सहस्रनाम का फल मिल जाता है।

अलं नामसहस्रेण केशवोऽर्जुनमब्रवित्।
श्रुणु मे पार्थ नामानि यैश्चतुष्यामि सर्वदा।।१।।

केशवः पुण्डरीकाक्षः स्वयंभूर्मधुसूदनः।
दामोदरो हृषीकेशः पद्मनाभो जनार्दनः।।२।।

विष्वक्सेनो वासुदेवो हरिर्नारायणस्तथा।
अनंतश्च प्रबोधश्च सत्यः कृष्णः सुरोत्तमः।।३।।

आदिकर्ता वराहश्च वैकुण्ठो विष्णुरच्युतः।
श्रीधरः श्रीपतिः श्रीमान् पक्षिराजध्वजस्तथा।।४।।

एतानि मम नामानि विद्यार्थी ब्राह्मणः पठेत्।
क्षत्रियो विजयस्यार्थे वैश्यो धनसमृद्धये।।५।।

नाग्निराजभयं तस्य न चोरात् पन्नगाद्भयम्।
राक्षसेभ्यो भयं नास्ति व्याधिभिर्नैव पीड्यते।।६।।

इदं नामसहस्त्रं तु केशवेनोद्धृतं स्तवम्।
उद्धृत्य चार्जुने दत्तं युद्धे शत्रुविनाशनम्।।७।।

।। इति श्री विष्णुपुराणे लघु विष्णुसहस्त्रनाम स्तवः सम्पूर्णम् ।।

If we recite only the Small Vishnushanasharanama described as Vishnupurana, then surely the fruit of Vishnu Sahasranama is found.

Enough of a thousand names, Keshav spoke to Arjuna. Hear from me, O Arjuna, by which I am always satisfied.

Keshava, Pundarikaksha, Svayambhu, Madhusoodana. Damodara Hrishikesha Padmanabha Janardana.

Vishvaksena, Vasudeva, Hari and Narayana. The infinite and the awakened are true, Krishna, the best of the gods.

The original creator and the boar, Vaikuntha, Vishnu, the infallible. Sridhar Sripati Sriman and Pakshirajadhvaja.

A student Brahmin should recite these My names. A Kshatriya is for the sake of victory and a Vaishya for the prosperity of wealth.

There was no fear of the king of the fire and no fear of the serpent from the thief There is no fear of the demons nor is it afflicted with diseases.

This is a thousand names lifted by Kesava. He lifted him up and gave him the destruction of the enemy in battle.
