भक्तिमार्ग प्रभुप्राप्ति के अन्य मार्गों में सबसे आसान है। तुलसीदासजी ने इसे राजमार्ग- जैसा बताया है- ‘मोहि लागत राज डगरो सों’; क्योंकि इस मार्ग से साधना करने में योग, यज्ञ और तपस्या- जैसे कठिन माध्यमों का वरण नहीं करना पड़ता।
प्रभु श्रीराम का कथन है कि मेरे भक्त को सरल स्वभाववाला होना चाहिये। उसके मन में कुटिलता न हो तथा जो कुछ प्राप्त है उसी में संतुष्ट हो। मेरा भक्त होकर उसे दूसरे किसी से आशा नहीं रखनी चाहिये। उसकी सज्जनों की संसर्ग में निरन्तर प्रीति बनी रहे और वह विषय-भोग तथा स्वर्ग-अपवर्ग को तृण के समान समझे।
भक्त को अभिमान, क्रोध, द्वेष और पाप से रहित होना चाहिये। उसे भक्तिपक्ष पर दृढ़ रहना चाहिये तथा मेरे नाम-गुण आदि का गान करना चाहिये। ऐसा भक्त परमानन्द को प्राप्त होता है-
कहहु भगति पथ कवन प्रयासा।
जोग न मख जप तप उपवासा।।
सरल सुभाव न मन कुटिलाई।
जथा लाभ संतोष सदाई।।
मोर दास कहाइ नर आसा।
करइ तौ कहहु कहा बिस्वासा।।
बहुत कहउँ का कथा बढ़ाई।
एहि आचरन बस्य मैं भाई।।
बैर न बिग्रह आस न त्रासा।
सुखमय ताहि सदा सब आसा।।
अनारंभ अनिकेत अमानी।
अनघ अरोष दच्छ बिग्यानी।।
मम गुन ग्राम नाम रत गत ममता मद मोह।
ता कर सुख सोइ जानइ परमानंद संदोह।।

The path of Bhakti is the easiest among other paths to attain God. Tulsidasji has described it as a highway – ‘Mohi Kaast Raj Dagro Son’; Because in doing sadhana through this path, one does not have to choose difficult means like yoga, yagya and penance.
Lord Shri Ram says that my devotee should be of simple nature. There should be no evil in his mind and he should be satisfied with whatever he has received. Being my devotee, he should not have expectations from anyone else. May he have constant love for the company of gentlemen and should he consider sensual pleasures and heaven and heaven as mere straw.
The devotee should be free from pride, anger, hatred and sin. He should remain firm on the path of devotion and should sing my name, qualities etc. Such a devotee attains bliss –
