प्रभु संकीर्तन 1

जब भी भगत को भगवान् की याद आती है, कोई दुःख तकलीफ आती है, उसका करुण हृदय किसी संसार के लोगो को नहीं पुकारता, भक्त का हृदय केवल हरि का ही आश्रय लेता है, वह अपने हर दुःख ,दर्द ,ख़ुशी, प्रसन्नता और गम को केवल अपने प्रभु के साथ बांटना चाहता है। क्योंकि एक भक्त ही जानता है कि केवल और केवल भगवान् के साथ जो उसका सम्बन्ध है वही शाश्वत सम्बन्ध है, वरना संसार के सम्बन्ध तो झूठे है, नश्वर हैं, दुखों को देने वाले, माया मोह व ईर्ष्या में डालने वाले हैं , इसलिए मनुष्य को प्रत्येक पल श्री हरि के सिमरन में लगाना चाहिए। दान देना सरल है l बहुत पुस्तके बाँटना भी सरल है l ध्यान रखना भी थोड़ा सरल है l कथा करनी , कथा करवानी, कथा सुनना भी सरल है परंतु शांति से बैठ कर प्रभु नाम का जप करना बहुत कठिन है l
मनुष्य सब कुछ कर सकता है परंतु शांति से बैठ कर प्रभु के नाम का जप नहीं कर सकता l मन की मलिनता और चंचलता दूर करने के लिए नाम जप की आवश्यकता है l मन पानी की तरह है l
पानी जिस तरह नीचे की तरफ बहता है l उसी प्रकार मन भी संसार के विषयों में फँसकर पतन के मार्ग में जाता है l जप रूपी यंत्र का संग मिलने पर जल ऊंचा चढ़ता है , उसी प्रकार मन को नाम जप का संग मिले , तो वह उर्ध्वगामी बनता है l प्रभु के चरणो में पहुंचता है …

Just as the water flows downwards. Similarly, the mind gets trapped in the objects of the world and goes on the path of decline. Water rises high when it is accompanied by an instrument of chanting, in the same way, if the mind gets the company of chanting, it becomes upward-moving.
