विवाह के बाद, पहली बार मायके आयी बेटी का स्वागत सप्ताह भर चला।
सम्पूर्ण सप्ताह भर बेटी को जो पसन्द है, वही सब किया गया, वापिस ससुराल जाते समय, पिता ने बेटी को एक अति सुगंधित अगरबत्ती का पुडा दिया, और कहा, की, बेटी तुम जब ससुराल में पूजा करने जाओगी तब यह अगरबत्ती जरूर जलाना,
माँ ने कहा, बिटिया प्रथम बार मायके से ससुराल जा रही है, तो भला कोई अगरबत्ती जैसी चीज देता है ?
पिता ने झट से जेब मे हाथ डाला और जेब मे जितने भी रुपये थे वो सब बेटी को दे दिए,
ससुराल में पहुंचते ही सासु माँ ने बहु के मात-पिता ने बेटी को बिदाई में क्या दिया यह देखा, तो वह अगरबत्ती का पुडा भी दिखा, सासु माँ ने मुंह बना कर बहु को बोला कि , कल पूजा में यह अगरबत्ती लगा लेना,
सुबह जब बेटी पूजा करने बैठी तो वो अगरबत्ती का पुडा खोला, उसमे से एक चिट्ठी निकली,
लिखा था….
बेटा यह अगरबत्ती स्वतः जलती है, मगर संपूर्ण घर को सुगंधित कर देती है, इतना ही नही , आजु-बाजू के पूरे वातावरण को भी अपनी महक से सुगंधित एवम प्रफुल्लित कर देती है….!!
हो सकता है की तूम कभी पति से कुछ समय के लिए रुठ जाओगी, या कभी अपने सास-ससुरजी से नाराज हो जाओगी, कभी देवर या ननद से भी रूठोगी, कभी तुम्हे किसी से बाते सुननी भी पड़ जाए, या फिर कभी अडोस-पड़ोसियों के वर्तन पर तुम्हारा दिल खट्टा हो जाये, तब तुम मेरी यह भेंट ध्यान में रखना,
अगरबत्ती की तरह जलना, जैसे अगरबत्ती स्वयं जलते हुए पूरे घर और सम्पूर्ण परिसर को सुगंधित और प्रफुल्लित कर ऊर्जा से भरती है, ठीक उसी तरह तुम स्वतः सहन कर तेरे ससुराल को अपना मायका समझ कर सब को अपने व्यवहार और कर्म से सुगंधित और प्रफुल्लित करना…।
बेटी चिट्ठी पढ़कर फफकर रोने लगी, सासू मां लपककर आयी, पति और ससुरजी भी पूजा घर मे पहुंचे जहां बहु रो रही थी।
“अरे हाथ को चटका लग गया क्या?, ऐसा पति ने पूछा।
“क्या हुआ यह तो बताओ, ससुरजी बोले।
सासूमाँ आजु बाजु के सामान में कुछ है क्या यह देखने लगी,
तो उन्हें पिता द्वारा सुंदर अक्षरों में लिखी हुई चिठ्ठी नजर आयी, चिट्ठी पढ़ते ही उन्होंने बहु को गले से लगा लिया, और चिट्ठी ससुरजी के हाथों में दी, चश्मा ना पहने होने की वजह से, चिट्ठी बेटे को देकर पढ़ने के लिए कहा।
सारी बात समझते ही संपूर्ण घर स्तब्ध हो गया।
सासु माँ बोली अरे, यह चिठ्ठी फ्रेम करानी है , यह मेरी बहु को मिली हुई सबसे अनमोल भेंट है, पूजा घर के बाजू में में ही इसकी फ्रेम होनी चाहिए,
और फिर सदैव वह फ्रेम अपने शब्दों से, सम्पूर्ण घर, और अगल-बगल के वातावरण को अपने अर्थ से महकाती रही, अगरबत्ती का पुडा खत्म होने के बावजूद भी…….
