सशङ्खचक्रं सकिरीटकुण्डलं
सपीतवस्त्रं सरसीरुहेक्षणम्।
सहारवक्षस्स्थलशोभिकौस्तुभं
नमामि विष्णुं शिरसा चतुर्भुजम्।।
अनंत, वासुकी, शेषं, पद्मनाभं च कम्वलं।
शंखपालं, धृतराष्ट्रकंच, तक्षकं, कालियं तथा।।
एतानि नवनामानि नागानाम् च महात्मना।
सायंकाले पठेन्नित्यम् प्रात:काले विशेषत:।
तस्य विषभयं नास्ति, सर्वत्र विजयी भवेत्।।
सर्वगुह्यतमं भूयः शृणु मे परमं वचः।
इष्टोऽस्मि मे दृढ़मिति ततो वक्ष्यामि ते हितम्।।
मन्मना भव मद्भक्तो मद्याजी मां नमस्कुरु।
मामेवैष्यसि सत्यं ते प्रतिजाने प्रियोऽसि मे।।
सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज।
अहं त्वा सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुचः।।
(गीता- १८ / ६४ – ६६)
अर्थ-
भगवान कहते हैं- सम्पूर्ण गोपनीयों से अति गोपनीय मेरे परम रहस्ययुक्त वचन को तू फिर भी सुन। तू मेरा अतिशय प्रिय है, इससे यह परम हितकारक वचन मैं तुझसे कहूँगा।
हे अर्जुन ! तू मुझमें मनवाला हो, मेरा भक्त बन, मेरा पूजन करनेवाला हो और मुझे प्रणाम कर। ऐसा करने से तू मुझे ही प्राप्त होगा, यह मैं तुझसे सत्य प्रतिज्ञा करता हूँ, क्योंकि तू मेरा अत्यन्त प्रिय है।
सम्पूर्ण धर्मों को अर्थात् सम्पूर्ण कर्तव्यों को मुझमें त्यागकर और निश्चिन्त होकर तू केवल एक मुझ सर्वशक्तिमान् सर्वाधार परमेश्वर की ही शरण में आजा। मैं तुझे सम्पूर्ण पापों से मुक्त कर दूँगा।

Meaning- God says – You still listen to my most secret words which are the most secret of all secrets. You are very dear to me, so I will say this very beneficial word to you.
Hey Arjun! You have your mind in me, become my devotee, worship me and bow down to me. By doing this you will get me only, this I promise you the truth, because you are very dear to me.
Leaving all the religions i.e. all the duties in me and being relaxed, you come in the shelter of only one me, the Almighty Supreme God. I will make you free from all sins.
