लक्ष्मीमाता की कथा

कथा पढ़ने या सुनने से ही माता लक्ष्मी प्रसन्न होती है, कभी धन की कमी नहीं रहती..
एक गांव में साहूकार रहता था। उसकी बेटी हर दिन पीपल के पेड़ पर जल चढ़ाने के लिए जाती थी। जिस पीपल के पेड़ पर वह जल चढ़ाती थी, उस पेड़ पर मां लक्ष्मी का वास था। एक दिन लक्ष्मीजी ने साहूकार की बेटी से कहा कि वह उसकी मित्र बनना चाहती हैं। लड़की ने उत्तर में कह- कि वह अपने पिता से पूछकर बताएगी। घर आकर साहूकार की बेटी ने पूरी बात बताई। बेटी की बात सुनकर साहूकार ने हां कर दी। दूसरे दिन साहूकार की बेटी ने लक्ष्मीजी को सहेली बना लिया।

दोनों अच्छी सखियों की तरह एक-दूसरे से बातें करतीं। एक दिन लक्ष्मीजी साहूकार की बेटी को अपने घर ले आईं। लक्ष्मी जी ने अपने घर में साहूकार की बेटी का खूब आदर किया। उसे सोने की थाली में पकवान परोसे और सोने की चौकी पर ही भोजन कराया, साथ ही जाते समय लक्ष्मीजी ने उसे दुशाला भी भेंट किया।

जब साहूकार की बेटी अपने घर लौटने लगी तो लक्ष्मीजी ने उससे पूछा कि वह उन्हें कब अपने घर बुलाएगी। साहूकार की बेटी ने लक्ष्मी जी को अपने घर बुला लिया, लेकिन आर्थिक स्थिति ठीक न होने के कारण वह स्वागत करने में घबरा रही थी कि क्या वह अच्छे तरह से उनका स्वागत कर पाएगी।

साहूकार अपनी बेटी की मनोदशा को समझ गया। उसने बेटी को समझाते हुए कहा कि वह परेशान न हो और फौरन घर की साफ-सफाई कर चौका मिट्टी से लगा दे। चार बत्ती वाला दीया लक्ष्मी जी के नाम से जलाने के लिए भी साहूकार ने अपनी बेटी से कहा। उसी समय एक चील किसी रानी का नौलखा हार लेकर साहूकार के घर में गिरा गई। साहूकार की बेटी ने उस हार को बेचकर भोजन की तैयारी की। थोड़ी ही देर में मां लक्ष्मी भगवान गणेश के साथ साहूकार के घर आईं और साहूकार के स्वागत से प्रसन्न होकर उस पर अपनी कृपा बरसाई। लक्ष्मी जी की कृपा से साहूकार के पास फिर किसी चीज की कभी कमी न हुई।

हे माँ लक्ष्मी जैसे आप साहूकार और उसकी बेटी पर प्रसन्न हुईं, वैसे ही हम पर भी प्रसन्न होना।

His daughter used to go every day to offer water to the Peepal tree. Mother Lakshmi resided on the Peepal tree on which she used to offer water. One day Lakshmiji told the moneylender’s daughter that she wanted to be his friend. The girl replied that she would ask her father and tell. After coming home, the moneylender’s daughter told the whole thing. After listening to the daughter, the moneylender said yes. On the second day, the moneylender’s daughter made Laxmiji a friend.

Both used to talk to each other like good friends. One day Lakshmiji brought the moneylender’s daughter to her house. Lakshmi ji respected the moneylender’s daughter very much in her house. He was served food on a gold plate and made him eat at the gold post itself, while on his way, Lakshmiji presented him with a douche.

When the moneylender’s daughter started returning to her home, Lakshmiji asked her when she would invite him to her home. The moneylender’s daughter called Laxmi ji to her house, but due to financial condition she was nervous to welcome whether she would be able to welcome him well.

The moneylender understood his daughter’s mood. He explained to the daughter that she should not get upset and immediately clean the house and put the square with soil. The moneylender also asked his daughter to light a four-lighted lamp in the name of Lakshmi ji. At the same time, an eagle fell in the moneylender’s house with a necklace of a queen. The moneylender’s daughter sold that necklace and prepared the food. Within a short time, Mother Lakshmi came to the moneylender’s house with Lord Ganesha and was pleased with the welcome of the moneylender and showered her blessings on him. By the grace of Lakshmi ji, the moneylender never lacked anything again.
