सत्य विनायक पूर्णिमा व्रत व पूजा विधि वैशाख मास को बहुत ही पवित्र माह माना जाता है, इस माह में आने वाले त्यौहार भी इस मायने में खास हैं। वैशाख मास की एकादशियां हों या अमावस्या सभी तिथियां पावन हैं, लेकिन वैशाख पूर्णिमा का अपना महत्व माना जाता है। वैशाख पूर्णिमा को महात्मा बुद्ध की जयंती के रूप में भी मनाया जाता है।

वैशाख पूर्णिमा का हिंदू एवं बौद्ध धर्म के अनुयायियों के लिये विशेष महत्व है। महात्मा बुद्ध की जयंती इस दिन मनाई जाती है इस कारण बुद्ध के अनुयायियों के लिये तो यह दिन खास है ही लेकिन महात्मा बुद्ध को भगवान विष्णु का नौवां अवतार भी बताया जाता है जिस कारण यह हिंदू धर्म के अनुयायियों के लिये भी बहुत महत्वपूर्ण दिन माना जाता है।

विनायक व्रत –

वैशाख पूर्णिमा पर सत्य विनायक व्रत रखने का भी विधान है। मान्यता है कि इस दिन सत्य विनायक व्रत रखने से व्रती की सारी दरिद्रता दूर हो जाती है। मान्य है कि अपने पास मदद के लिये आये भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने अपने मित्र सुदामा (ब्राह्मण सुदामा) को भी इसी व्रत का विधान बताया था जिसके पश्चात उनकी गरीबी दूर हुई। वैशाख पूर्णिमा को धर्मराज की पूजा करने का विधान है मान्यता है कि धर्मराज सत्यविनायक व्रत से प्रसन्न होते हैं। इस व्रत को विधिपूर्वक करने से व्रती को अकाल मृत्यु का भय नहीं रहता ऐसी मान्यता है।

इस दिन व्रती को जल से भरे घड़े सहित पकवान आदि भी किसी जरूरतमंद को दान करने चाहिये। स्वर्णदान का भी इस दिन काफी महत्व माना जाता है। व्रती को पूर्णिमा के दिन प्रात:काल उठकर स्नानादि से निवृत हो स्वच्छ होना चाहिये। तत्पश्चात व्रत का संकल्प लेकर भगवान विष्णु की पूजा करनी चाहिये। रात्रि के समय दीप, धूप, पुष्प, अन्न, गुड़ आदि से पूर्ण चंद्रमा की पूजा करनी चाहिये और जल अर्पित करना चाहिये। तत्पश्चात किसी योग्य ब्राह्मण को जल से भरा घड़ा दान करना चाहिये। ब्राह्मण या किसी जरूरतमंद को भोजन करवाने के पश्चात ही स्वयं अन्न ग्रहण करना चाहिये। सामर्थ्य हो तो स्वर्णदान भी इस दिन करना चाहिये।आज लक्ष्मीजी की का भी पूजन खास है।
