सार्थक प्रार्थना

प्रार्थना उसी की सार्थक है जो आत्मा को परमात्मा में घुला देने के लिए व्याकुलता लिए हुए हो। जो अपने को परमात्मा जैसा महान बनाने के लिए तड़पता है- जो प्रभु को जीवन के कण-कण में घुला लेने के लिए बेचैन है। जो उसी का होकर जीना चाहता है उसी को भक्त कहना चाहिए। दूसरे तो विदूषक हैं। लेने के लिए किया हुआ भजन वस्तुतः प्रभु प्रेम का निर्मम उपहास है। भक्ति में तो आत्म समर्पण के अतिरिक्त और कुछ होता ही नहीं। वहाँ देने की ही बात सूझती है लेने की इच्छा ही कहाँ रहती है

Prayer is worthwhile only to those who are anxious to dissolve the soul in God. One who yearns to make himself as great as God – who is restless to dissolve the Lord in every particle of life. The one who wants to live by him should be called a devotee. Others are clowns. The hymn to receive is in fact a ruthless mockery of the love of the Lord. In devotion there is nothing other than self-surrender. There is only the matter of giving, where is the desire to receive
