एक नैष्ठिक भक्त पण्डित थे। भक्त विमलतीर्थ उनके ही पुत्र थे। पिताने बाल्यकालमें इन्हें यथाविधि यज्ञोपवीतादि संस्कारोंसे संस्कृत कर दिया। इनकी नानी बड़ी भक्तिमती थीं। उनके संसर्गमें आकर इनकी भक्ति अनुदिन भगवच्चरणोंमें बढ़ने लगी । समयपर इनका विवाह हो गया। इनकी पत्नी सुनयना तो मानो भक्तिकी प्रतिमूर्ति ही थीं। उनके संसर्गमें आकर विमलतीर्थजीका वैराग्य तथा उपासना पराकाष्ठाको हीपहुँच गयी। दोनोंने सलाहसे भगवदाराधन-व्रत ले लिया। तथापि सुनयनाने बाजी मार ली। उन्हें प्रथम भगवत्साक्षात्कार हो गया।
अब तो विमलतीर्थजीको और उत्साह हुआ। वे वनमें जाकर रहने लगे। अहर्निश भगवद्ध्यानमें प्रमत्त । अन्ततोगत्वा प्रभुने प्रकट होकर इन्हें गले लगा लिया। इन्होंने प्रभुसे विमल भक्तिका वर माँग लिया और सर्वदाके लिये पवित्र हो गये।
He was a devout scholar. Bhakta Vimaltirtha was his son. His father sanctified him in his childhood with the rituals of Yajna and Upavita. His grandmother was very devout. His devotion to the feet of the Lord began to grow day by day. They got married in time. His wife Sunaina was the epitome of devotion. Vimaltirthaji’s asceticism and worship reached its climax by coming into contact with him. Both took the Bhagavad-gītā-vrata on advice. However, Sunaina won the bet. He had his first realization of the Lord.
Now Vimaltirthaji was more excited. They went to live in the forest. engaged in daily meditation on the Lord. Eventually the Lord appeared and embraced them. They asked the Lord for the boon of pure devotion and became holy forever.
