अत्यधिक कल्याणकर

एक बारकी बात है। सुफियानने महात्मा फजलके साथ सारी रात धर्मचर्चामें बितायी। दूसरे दिन चलते समय उन्होंने बड़ी प्रसन्नताके साथ कहा- ‘आजकी रातको मैं अत्यन्त सुखदायिनी समझता हूँ कि धर्मचर्चा चलती रही। कितना आनन्दप्रद सत्सङ्ग होता रहा । ‘ “ना ना, आजकी रात तो व्यर्थ ही चली गयी।”

फजलने जवाब दे दिया।’वह कैसे?’–चिन्तित मन सुफियानने पूछा। फजलने कहा—‘सारी रात तुमने वाणी- विलाससे

मुझे संतुष्ट करनेमें और मैंने तुम्हारे प्रश्नोंका अच्छे-से अच्छा उत्तर देनेमें बिता दी। इस प्रयत्नमें हमलोग भगवान्को तो भूल ही गये थे। एक दूसरेको प्रसन्न करनेवाले सत्सङ्गकी अपेक्षा अत्यधिक कल्याणकर तो प्रभु स्मरण है । ‘ – शि0 दु0

Once upon a time. Sufiyan spent the whole night in discussion with Mahatma Fazl. On the second day, while walking, he said with great joy – ‘I consider this night very pleasant that the discussion of religion continued. Such a pleasant satsang. “No no, tonight has gone in vain.”
Fazal replied. ‘How is that?’- Sufiyan asked worried. Fazal said – ‘The whole night you spoke luxuriously
Satisfied me and I spent in answering your questions as best I could. In this effort, we had forgotten God. Remembrance of God is more beneficial than satsang that pleases each other. ‘ – Shi Du
