Paramhans Ramakrishnadev used to sit on the banks of the Ganges, placing a pile of money and money on one side and a pile of pebbles on the other, taking money in one hand and pebbles in the other, he would say – ‘This pebble, this money’ and throw both fists into the Ganges.
‘These pebbles’ he would say looking at the handful of money and then looking at the handful of pebbles he would say – ‘this money!’ Both the fists would then be immersed in Gangaji. As a result of this practice of Paramhansdev, such a situation happened that if any metal was touched by mistake from his body, then that organ would have become desolate. After a long time the consciousness of that part would return.
