जो पहले था, अब भी है और सदा रहेगा, वही ‘सत्’ है; जिसके सुननेसे हित होता है, ऐसे वृत्तान्तको भी ‘सत्’ कहते हैं। ऐसे ‘सत्’ की कथा करना ही ‘कल्याण’ के इस अङ्ककी विशेषता है। मैं आपकी सेवा ऐसी एक सत्कथा उपस्थित करता हूँ, जो जीवनका उत्तम दर्शन है एवं जिसके आधारपर हमारा मनुष्य जीवन प्रत्येक अवस्थामें शान्त, निर्मल और प्रगतिशील रहकर स्व-पर-कल्याणकारी सिद्ध हो सकता है l
वसुदेव-नन्दन, कंस- चाणूर मर्दन, देवकी – परमानन्द जगद्गुरु श्रीकृष्णकी बहिन ‘सुभद्रा’ देवी दोग्धा गोपाल नन्दनके मित्र वत्स पार्थको दी गयी थी।
पुत्र अभिमन्युके चन्द्र-लोकगमनका समाचार सुनकर सुभद्राकी अश्रुधारा रोकना धर्मराजको भी असम्भव लगा। नन्दनन्दन बोले—’बहिन ! तू योगेश्वरकी बहिन होकर रोती है-यह शोभा नहीं देता। जो आत्मा था, वह तो किसीने देखा नहीं और जो शरीर दिखायी दिया, वह अब भी है। कौन अभिमन्यु पैदा हुआ और कौन मरा! बता तो सही।’ इस प्रकार तत्त्व-ज्ञान सुनानेपर भीरुदन बंद नहीं हुआ। भगवान् बोले- ‘बहिन ! युद्धमें तो तूने ही उसे तिलक करके भेजा था और कहा था कि हारा हुआ मुँह मुझे मत दिखाना । यदि विजय करके आया तो मेरी गोद है अन्यथा पृथ्वी माताकी गोद है। इस प्रकार वीरतापूर्ण संदेश देनेवाली रोये, यह अयोग्य है।’
सुभद्राने उत्तर दिया, ‘भैया, चुप रहो! इस समय बोलो मत। तुम्हारी बहिन सुभद्रा तो सु-भद्रा ही है परम शान्त है-वह कभी नहीं रोती । युद्धमें भेजनेवाली वीर – पत्नी क्षत्रियाणी थी और रोनेवाली बेटेकी माँ है, इसे रो लेने दो। जाओ ! तुम पहले माँ बनो और बेटा मर जाये तो नहीं रोओ, तब मुझे समझाने आना ।’ भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण चुप हो गये।
प्रत्येक मनुष्यके मानसमें ऐसी एक सुभद्रावृत्ति रहती है, जो भगवान्की बहिन है। वह निरन्तर शान्त रहती है और दुनियाके सब कर्तव्यकर्म निर्लिप्तभावसे करती है— उसे पहचानकर स्वधर्मका पालन करना ही जीवनका उत्तम दर्शन है।
स्वकर्मणा तमभ्यर्च्य सिद्धिं विन्दति मानवः ।
What was before, is still and will always be, that is ‘Sat’; Those stories which are beneficial to be heard are also called ‘Sat’. Telling the story of such ‘Sat’ is the specialty of this issue of ‘Kalyan’. I present to you such a true story, which is the best philosophy of life and on the basis of which our human life can prove to be self-welfare by remaining calm, pure and progressive in every situation.
Vasudev – Nandan, Kansa – Chanur Mardan, Devaki – Parmanand Jagadguru Shri Krishna’s sister ‘Subhadra’ Devi Dogdha was given to Gopal Nandan’s friend Vats Partha.
Dharmaraj also found it impossible to stop Subhadra’s tears after hearing the news of son Abhimanyu’s moon-lokgaman. Nandanandan said – ‘Sister! You cry as the sister of Yogeshwar – it does not suit. No one has seen the soul that was there and the body that was seen is still there. Who was born Abhimanyu and who died! Tell me right. Even after narrating the Tatvgyan in this way, the crying did not stop. God said – ‘ Sister! You had sent him in the war by applying Tilak and told me not to show me the defeated face. If he comes victorious, then it is my lap, otherwise it is the lap of Mother Earth. In this way the brave messenger cried, it is unworthy.’
Subhadra replied, ‘Brother, keep quiet! Don’t speak at this time. Your sister Subhadra is only Subhadra, she is extremely calm – she never cries. The brave wife who sent in the war was a Kshatriyani and the one who weeps is the son’s mother, let her weep. Go ! You become a mother first and don’t cry if your son dies, then come to explain to me.’ Lord Krishna became silent.
There is such a Subhadravrutti in the mind of every human being, who is the sister of God. She always remains calm and does all the duties of the world with no attachment – recognizing her and following self-righteousness is the best philosophy of life.
Swakarmana tambhyarchya siddhi vindati manav.
