संत दर्शनका प्रभाव

‘इस संसारके सब प्राणी अपने ही हैं, कोई भी पराया नहीं है। पापी घृणाका पात्र नहीं है, उससे निष्कपट प्रेम करना चाहिये। भगवान् पापीके ही उद्धारके लिये अवतार लेते हैं।’ महात्मा हरनाथने निर्भयतापूर्वक अपने प्रेमियों और शिष्योंको समझाया और उस ओर चल पड़े, जिधर डाकू रामखान रहता था। उसके अत्याचार और लूटपाटसे समस्त कटक प्रदेश संत्रस्त था। उसके भयसे लोग थर-थर काँपते थे और धोखेसे भी उसका नाम नहीं लेते थे।

‘पागल’ हरनाथने उस वनमें प्रवेश किया, जिसमें उस डाकूका निवास स्थान था। निर्जन वनमें महात्माने भीषण आकारवाले एक व्यक्तिको देखा और समझ गये। कि यह रामखान ही है। वे बढ़ते गये और दो-चार क्षणके बाद ही डाकू उनके सामने खड़ा था।

‘पिताजी! मैंने आजतक पाप ही पाप किये हैं। मैंने अपने पाप और अत्याचारकी कथा किसीसे नहीं कही। मेरे उद्धारका समय आ पहुँचा है। मैं इस निर्जन पथपर खड़ा होकर केवल आपकी राह देख रहा था। जगत्के किसी भी पदार्थमें मुझे सुख नहीं मिल सका। मुझे भवसागरके पार उतारिये।’ डाकू रामखानकी वृत्तिबदल गयी। एक क्षणके लिये ही संतके सम्पर्क में आनेसे उसके पाप नष्ट हो गये और वह पागल | हरनाथके चरणोंपर गिर पड़ा। वह सिसक रहा था। | महात्मा हरनाथने उसका बड़े प्रेमसे आलिङ्गन किया और कहा कि ‘परमात्माके राज्यमें शाश्वत और परम | आनन्दकी प्राप्ति हो सकती है, तुमने पश्चात्तापकी आगमें अपने समस्त पाप जला दिये।’

‘मुझे रास्ता दिखाइये। प्रकाश दीजिये। मैं आपका दास हूँ।’ रामखानने कातर स्वरसे कहा। ‘भगवान्का नाम ही मन्त्रराज है। सोते-जागते, उठते-बैठते और खाते-पीते उस मधुर नामामृतका पान करते रहना चाहिये। वे प्रभु सर्वसमर्थ हैं। जीवमात्रसे प्रेम करो, सच्चा प्रेम ही प्रभुकी प्राप्तिका सुगम पथ है।’ महात्मा हरनाथने उसे अपनी अहैतुकी कृपासे धन्य कर दिया।

रामखानने संन्यास ले लिया और वृन्दावनमें यमुनातटस्थ किसी रमणीय स्थानमें निवास करके वे भगवान् श्रीकृष्णका भजन करने लगे। संतदर्शनकी महिमाका बखान नहीं किया जा सकता। बड़े भाग्यसे ही संतका दर्शन मिलता है।

‘All the creatures of this world are our own, no one is a stranger. Sinner does not deserve hatred, he should be loved sincerely. God incarnates only for the salvation of sinners.’ Mahatma Harnath fearlessly explained to his lovers and disciples and went towards the place where dacoit Ramkhan lived. The entire Cuttack region was terrified by his tyranny and looting. People trembled in fear of him and did not take his name even by deceit.
The ‘mad’ Harnath entered the forest in which the dacoit resided. In the deserted forest, the Mahatma saw a man of terrible size and understood. That this is Ramkhan only. They went on and after a moment or two the dacoit was standing in front of them.
‘Father! I have committed only sins till date. I did not tell the story of my sins and atrocities to anyone. The hour of my salvation has come. I was standing on this deserted path only looking for your way. I could not find happiness in any material of the world. Take me across the Bhavsagar.’ The attitude of dacoit Ramkhan changed. Coming in contact with the saint even for a moment, his sins were destroyed and he became insane. Fell at Harnath’s feet. He was sobbing. , Mahatma Harnath embraced him with great love and said that ‘eternal and supreme in the kingdom of God. Happiness can be attained, you have burnt all your sins in the fire of repentance.’
‘Show me the way. Give light I am your servant.’ Ramkhan said in a bitter voice. ‘God’s name itself is Mantraraj. While sleeping-waking up, getting up-sitting and eating-drinking, that sweet nectar should be kept on drinking. That Lord is omnipotent. Love every living being, true love is the easy path to attain God.’ Mahatma Harnath blessed him with his causeless grace.
Ramkhan retired and started worshiping Lord Krishna after living in a pleasant place in Vrindavan on the banks of the Yamuna. The glory of Saint Darshan cannot be explained. One gets the darshan of a saint only by great luck.
