20 अप्रैल दिन गुरुवार को वैशाख अमावस्या है और इस दिन साल का पहला सूर्य ग्रहण भी लग रहा है। साथ ही इस अमावस्या को सतुवाई अमावस्या के नाम से जाना जाता है।
वैशाख अमावस्या पर धर्म-कर्म, पितरों का तर्पण, स्नान व दान आदि का विशेष महत्व बताया गया है। दक्षिण भारत में वैशाख अमावस्या पर शनि जयंती माई जाती है और धार्मिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार, इसी माह से त्रेता युग का आरंभ हुआ था। यह अमावस्या कालसर्प दोष, गृह दोष निवारण, पितरों की शांति आदि के लिए लाभकारी मानी गई है। आइए जानते हैं वैशाख अमावस्या का महत्व, पूजा विधि और शुभ मुहूर्त
वैशाख अमावस्या का महत्व
वैशाख अमावस्या पर पवित्र नदियों में स्नान, दान, जप-तप, पिंडदान, पितरों को तर्पण आदि धार्मिक कार्यों के लिए बहुत शुभ माना गया है।
इस दिन राहगीरों को पानी पिलाएं और पशु पंक्षियों के लिए भी पानी की व्यवस्था करें। साथ ही इस शुभ दिन पर सत्तू खाने और दान करने का भी महत्व है।
वैशाख अमावस्या पर पितरों की आत्मा की शांति के लिए व्रत अवश्य करना चाहिए। साथ ही इस दिन पितरों के नाम का श्राद्ध और तर्पण करने वालों को आर्थिक तंगी का सामना नहीं करना पड़ता और पितरों की आत्मा को भी शांति मिलती है।
वैशाख अमावस्या पर आप कालसर्प दोष को दूर करने के लिए भी बेहद उत्तम माना गया है। लेकिन ध्यान रहे कि इस शुभ दिन पर तामसिक चीजों का सेवन करने से दूर रहें।
वैशाख अमावस्या पूजा विधि
वैशाख अमावस्या पर पवित्र नदियां, जलाशय, कुंड आदि पवित्र स्थलों पर स्नान करना चाहिए और सूर्यदेव को अर्घ्य देने के बाद बहते जल में तिल प्रवाहित करें।
वैशाख अमावस्या पर पितरों के नाम का तर्पण और श्राद्ध भी करना चाहिए। साथ ही इस दिन उपवास भी रखें और ब्राह्मणों को भोज कराएं।
ग्रहण काल में पितरों के नाम का दान भी करें।
वैशाख अमावस्या पर शनि जयंती भी मनाई जा रही है इसलिए शनिदेव की पूजा करें और एक लोहे की कटोरी में तेल और एक सिक्का डालें और उसमें अपना चेहरा देखें। इसके बाद कटोरी समेत सभी चीजें डकोत को भी दे दें।
वैशाख अमावस्या पर पीपल के पेड़ और हनुमानजी की भी की पूजा करें।

On Vaishakh Amavasya one should bathe in holy rivers, reservoirs, ponds etc. holy places and after offering Arghya to Sun God, flow mole in the flowing water. On Vaishakh Amavasya, the name of ancestors should be offered and Shradh should also be performed. Also keep fast on this day and offer a feast to Brahmins.
Donate the names of ancestors during the eclipse period. Shani Jayanti is also being celebrated on Vaishakh Amavasya so worship Shani Dev and put oil and a coin in an iron bowl and see your face in it. After this, give all the things including the bowl to the dacoit.
