सुदर्शन चक्र प्राकट्योत्सव
आज सुदर्शन चक्र जन्मोत्सव पर्व है जो कि भगवान विष्णु के सुदर्शन चक्र को समर्पित है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि आज ही के दिन पवित्र चक्र ने अपनी उपस्थिति प्रकट कराई थी। सुदर्शन चक्र प्राकट्योत्सव शुक्ल पक्ष की आषाढ़ दशमी को मनाया जाता है। मान्यता है कि सुदर्शन चक्र की पूजा करना भगवान विष्णु के सभी दस अवतारों की पूजा करने के बराबर है। दक्षिण भारत में कई वैष्णव संप्रदायों के लिए इस दिन का बहुत महत्व है।
सुदर्शन चक्र भगवान के सर्वोच्च व्यक्तित्व की झलक है जिसके द्वारा वे संपूर्ण भौतिक संसार का निर्माण करते हैं। सुदर्शन चक्र, जो सृष्टि का मूल है और भगवान को सबसे प्रिय है, जिस में हजारों तीलियाँ हैं। यह सुदर्शन चक्र दुनियाँ के सबसे घातक ब्रह्मास्त्र से भी श्रेष्ठ शस्त्र है। यह अंधकार का नाशक, और भक्ति सेवा के कौशल का प्रकटीकरण है। यह धार्मिक सिद्धांतों की स्थापना का साधन है, और यह सभी अधार्मिक गतिविधियों का नाशक है। उनकी दया के बिना, ब्रह्मांड को बनाए नहीं रखा जा सकता है, और इसलिए सुदर्शन चक्र को भगवान के सर्वोच्च व्यक्तित्व द्वारा नियोजित किया जाता है।
ऐसे कई पौराणिक संदर्भ हैं जहां भगवान विष्णु राक्षसों, दुराचारियों का शीश काटने के लिए सुदर्शन चक्र का उपयोग करते हैं। किन्तु, सुदर्शन चक्र के जन्म या उत्पत्ति से संबंधित पौराणिक कथाएं थोड़ी ही हैं| एक ऐसी ही कथा बताती है कि भगवान शिव ने भगवान विष्णु को उनकी कठोर तपस्या से प्रसन्न होकर सुदर्शन चक्र दैत्यों का वध करने हेतु उपहार स्वरुप दिया था। एक अन्य कथा के अनुसार देवताओं के मुख्य वास्तुकार विश्वकर्मा 🛠️ने सूर्यदेव की दीप्ति को कम करके सुदर्शन चक्र को बनाया था, उन्होंने सूर्य की चमक के कुछ हिस्सों का उपयोग करके इस चक्र का निर्माण किया|
पुरी, जगन्नाथ मंदिर में भक्त भगवान की चलंती प्रतिमा के रूप में सुदर्शन चक्र की पूजा करते हैं। हर त्योहार में एक अनुष्ठान होता है, जिसके अंतर्गत पुजारी द्वारा पहली पूजा सुदर्शन चक्र, उसके बाद दूसरे भगवान की पूजा होती है, वही बात रथ यात्रा में भी दोहराई जाती है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि सुदर्शन चक्र की पूजा 🙏🏻 करने से विभिन्न बीमारियों को ठीक करने में सहायता प्राप्त होती है। मोक्ष प्राप्त करने और पापों के निवारण के लिए भी इसकी पूजा की जाती है। सुदर्शन चक्र जन्मोत्सव के दिन सुदर्शन यंत्र की पूजा की जाती है। चक्र को समर्पित अन्य विशेष पूजा और प्रार्थनाएं इस दिन घरों और मंदिरों में मनाई जाती हैं।

Sudarshan Chakra Prakatyotsav
Today is Sudarshan Chakra Janmotsav festival which is dedicated to Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Vishnu. It is believed that on this day the sacred chakra made its presence felt. Sudarshan Chakra Prakatyotsav is celebrated on Ashad Dashami of Shukla Paksha. It is believed that worshiping the Sudarshan Chakra is equivalent to worshiping all the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. The day holds great significance for many Vaishnava sects in South India.
The Sudarshana Chakra is a reflection of the Supreme Personality of Godhead by whom He creates the entire material world. The Sudarshan Chakra, which is the root of creation and most dear to the Lord, has thousands of spokes. This Sudarshan Chakra is a better weapon than the world’s deadliest Brahmastra. It is the destroyer of darkness, and the manifestation of the skill of devotional service. It is the means of establishing religious principles, and it is the destroyer of all irreligious activities. Without His mercy, the universe cannot be maintained, and therefore the Sudarshana Chakra is employed by the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
There are many mythological references where Lord Vishnu uses the Sudarshan Chakra to behead demons, evildoers. But, there are few mythological stories related to the birth or origin of Sudarshan Chakra. One such legend tells that Lord Shiva gifted the Sudarshan Chakra to Lord Vishnu to kill the demons, being pleased with his harsh penance. According to another legend, Vishwakarma 🛠️, the chief architect of the gods, created the Sudarshan Chakra by reducing the brightness of the Sun God, he used some parts of the Sun’s brightness to create this wheel.
Devotees worship the Sudarshan Chakra as a moving idol of the Lord at the Jagannath Temple in Puri. Every festival has a ritual, under which the priest first worships the Sudarshan Chakra, followed by the second deity, the same thing is repeated in the Rath Yatra. It is believed that worshiping the Sudarshan Chakra helps in curing various diseases. It is also worshiped for attaining salvation and for the atonement of sins. Sudarshan Yantra is worshiped on the day of Sudarshan Chakra Janmotsav. Other special pujas and prayers dedicated to the Chakra are observed in homes and temples on this day.
