शिव आवाहन मंत्र

ॐ मृत्युंजय परेशान जगदाभयनाशन।
तव ध्यानेन देवेश मृत्युप्राप्नोति जीवती।।

वन्दे ईशान देवाय नमस्तस्मै पिनाकिने।
नमस्तस्मै भगवते कैलासाचल वासिने।
आदिमध्यांत रूपाय मृत्युनाशं करोतु मे।।

त्र्यंबकाय नमस्तुभ्यं पंचस्याय नमोनमः।
नमोब्रह्मेन्द्र रूपाय मृत्युनाशं करोतु मे।।

नमो दोर्दण्डचापाय मम मृत्युम् विनाशय।।

देवं मृत्युविनाशनं भयहरं साम्राज्य मुक्ति प्रदम्।
नमोर्धेन्दु स्वरूपाय नमो दिग्वसनाय च।
नमो भक्तार्ति हन्त्रे च मम मृत्युं विनाशय।।

अज्ञानान्धकनाशनं शुभकरं विध्यासु सौख्य प्रदम्।
नाना भूतगणान्वितं दिवि पदैः देवैः सदा सेवितम्।।

सर्व सर्वपति महेश्वर हरं मृत्युंजय भावये।।

शिव आवाहन मंत्र का हिन्दी अर्थ-

इस दिव्य मंत्र में हम भगवान शिव को मृत्युंजय, ईशान, पिनाकिन, त्रयंबक, हर, महेश्वर जैसे नामों से पुकारते हैं।

भगवान शिव को हर कहा जाता है क्योंकि वे भक्त के जीवन से कष्ट हर लेते हैं। उन्हें महेश्वर इसलिए बुलाया जाता है क्योंकि वे महान ईश्वर, देवताओं के देवता, ब्रह्मांड के नियंत्रक हैं।

भगवान शिव ऐसे भगवान हैं जो सभी जानवरों में रहते हैं। उन्हें ‘पशुपति’ भी कहा जाता है जो दर्शाता है कि वे सभी प्राणियों के भगवान हैं। हम सभी जानवर या ‘पशु’ हैं और हमारे भगवान शिव हैं जो हमें नियंत्रित करते हैं, हम पर दया करते हैं। वे हम सब के प्रभु हैं।

हम आत्मन या आत्मा हैं और भगवान शिव परमात्मा हैं जो सबसे बड़ी आत्मा और सर्वोच्च वास्तविकता हैं। ऐसे देवो के देव महादेव भगवान शिव को बारम्बार नमस्कार करते हैं।

Om Mrityunjaya Perturbed Destroyer of the Fear of the World. By meditating on You, O Lord of the gods, a living being attains death.

I salute the god of the north, and I offer my obeisances to him, Pinaka. Obeisance to that divine inhabitant of Kailas mountain. May you destroy death for me in the form of the beginning and the middle.

O Trimbaka, I offer my obeisances to you, O Panchasya. Obeisance to the form of the lord of the Brahmans may you destroy my death.

Obeisance to the arm-rod bow, destroy my death.

The god who destroys death, who dispels fear, who gives liberation to the kingdom. Obeisance to the form of the half-moon and to the dress of the directions. Obeisance to the destroyer of the sufferings of devotees and destroy my death.

It destroys the darkness of ignorance and is auspicious and gives happiness in the arts. It is inhabited by various beings and is always served by the gods at their feet in heaven.

Hindi meaning of Shiva Avahan Mantra-

In this divine mantra we call Lord Shiva by names like Mrityunjaya, Ishaan, Pinakin, Trayambak, Har, Maheshwar.

Lord Shiva is called Hara because he removes suffering from the life of the devotee. He is called Maheshwara because he is the great God, the Lord of gods, the controller of the universe.

Lord Shiva is such a God who resides in all animals. He is also called ‘Pashupati’ which signifies that he is the Lord of all beings. We all are animals or ‘Pashu’ and our Lord Shiva is the one who controls us, has mercy on us. He is the Lord of all of us.

We are Atman or soul and Lord Shiva is Paramatma who is the greatest soul and supreme reality. Mahadev, the God of such gods, repeatedly salutes Lord Shiva.
