जन्माष्टमी का त्योहार हर साल कान्हा के जन्मदिवस के उपलक्ष में मनाया जाता है। हर साल भाद्रपद मास की कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्टमी तिथि को मनाते हैं। ऐसी मान्यता है कि भाद्रपद महीने की कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्टमी तिथि के रोहिणी नक्षत्र में रात १२ बजे भगवान श्रीकृष्ण का जन्म हुआ था। इसलिए हर साल इस तिथि के हिसाब से ही जन्माष्टमी का त्योहार मनाया जाता है।
इस साल यह पर्व १६ अगस्त को मनाया जाएगा। भगवान कृष्ण के जन्मोत्सव के उपलक्ष्य में भक्त व्रत रखते हैं और पूजा-अर्चना करते हैं। इसी के साथ रात को १२ बजे भगवान कृष्ण का जन्म कराने के बाद व्रत खोला जाता है। कान्हा को कई तरह के भोग भी लगाएं जाते हैं।
कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी २०२५ का शुभ मुहूर्त-
कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी की तिथि इस साल १५ अगस्त को ११ बजकर ४९ मिनट पर शुरू होगी और तिथि का समापन १६ अगस्त को रात ०९ बजकर ३४ मिनट पर होगा। स्मार्त परम्परा से जुड़े लोग यह पर्व १५ अगस्त २०२५ को मनायेंगे। और १६ अगस्त २०२५ के दिन निशीथ काल की पूजा को ००:०५ से ००:४७ बजे तक कर सकेंगे। इस दिन जन्माष्टमी का व्रत रखने वाले लोग १६ अगस्त २०२५ की रात्रि को ०९:२४ के बाद पारण कर सकेंगे।
पूजन मुहूर्त-
वैष्णव सम्प्रदाय के लोग १६ अगस्त की रात को कान्हा के जन्म का उत्सव मनाते हुए १७ अगस्त २०२५ को ००:०५ से ००:४७ बजे के बीच पूजा कर सकेंगे।
जन्माष्टमी पर कान्हा को लगाए जाने वाले भोग-
माखन मिश्री-
आपने धार्मिक ग्रंथों में पढ़ा होगा कि, श्रीकृष्ण को दूध और उससे बनी सभी चीजें काफी पसंद हैं, खास तौर पर माखन, जिसे वे अपने मित्रों के साथ चुराकर तक खाते थे। इसलिए उन्हें माखन चोर भी कहा जाता है। ऐसे में आप जन्माष्टमी के दिन शुद्ध माखन में मिला कर मिश्री का भोग लगाएं।
मोहन भोग-
श्रीकृष्ण को मोहन के नाम से भी जाना जाता है और एक भोग उनके ही नाम पर है, जिसे मोहन भोग कहा जाता है। यह श्रीकृष्ण को काफी पसंद है। इसे गेहूं के आटे को शुद्ध गाय के घी में भूनकर पंचमेवा मिलाकर मिश्री चूर्ण से बनाया जाता है।
श्रीखंड-
जन्माष्टमी के दिन आप भगवान श्रीकृष्ण को श्रीखंड का भोग लगा सकते हैं, जो कि शुभ माना जाता है। चूंकि, श्रीखंड दही से बनता है ऐसे में नंदलाल को यह भी काफी पसंद माना जाता है।
पंजीरी-
आपने पंजीरी के बारे में भी पढ़ा होगा, जिसे धनिए से बनाया जाता है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि जन्माष्टमी पर पंजीरी का भोग लगाने से श्रीकृष्ण प्रसन्न होते हैं और अपने भक्तों पर कृपा बनाए रखते हें।
मालपुआ-
शास्त्रों में ऐसा उल्लेख मिलता है कि श्रीकृष्ण को राधा रानी के हाथ के बनाए हुए मालपुए काफी पसंद आते थे और वे खूब चाव से खाते थे। ऐसे में आप भी जन्माष्टमी पर मालपुए का भोग लगा सकते हैं।

People associated with the Smarta tradition will celebrate this festival on 15 August 2025. And on the day of 14 August 2025, you will be able to worship Nishith Kaal from 5:005 to 00:4 pm. On this day, people who observe the fast of Janmashtami will be able to pass after 09:24 on the night of August 14, 2025.
Poojan Muhurta- People of Vaishnava sect will be able to worship between Kanha’s birth on the night of 14 August, between August 14, 2025, 0000:05 to 00:46 pm.

Makhan Mishri- You must have read in religious texts that Shri Krishna loves milk and all the things made from it, especially Makhan, which he used to steal with his friends and eat. Therefore, he is also called Makhan Chor. In such a situation, on the day of Janmashtami, you should mix sugar candy by mixing it in pure butter.
Mohan Bhog- Shri Krishna is also known as Mohan and a bhog is in his own name, which is called Mohan Bhoga. Sri Krishna likes this very much. It is roasted in pure cow’s ghee and mixed with panchameva by mixing it in pure cow’s ghee.
Shrikhand- On the day of Janmashtami, you can offer Lord Krishna to Lord Krishna, which is considered auspicious. Since, Shrikhand is made from curd, Nandlal is also considered very like.
