तू परम शान्ति को प्राप्त होगा

‘हे भारत ! तू सर्वभाव से उस परमात्मा की शरण जा, उसकी कृपा से तू परम शान्ति को, अविनाशी स्थान को प्राप्त हो जायगा’ उनके ‘सर्वभाव’ कहने का तात्पर्य क्या है ? तात्पर्य यह है कि हे प्रभो ! हमारे माता-पिता, भाई-बन्धु, सखा, धन, जन, प्राण, सर्वस्व – आप ही हैं | आप ही हमारे स्वामी हैं, विद्या हैं, पति हैं यानी जो कुछ हैं सब कुछ आप ही हमारे हैं यही सर्वभाव है |

सर्वभाव का अर्थ यदि इस प्रकार लिया जाय कि ‘मैं भगवान् की शरण में हूँ’ तो उसमे अपना मन, वाणी, तन, धन, जन, सब कुछ उनकी शरण में अर्पण करना पड़ता है | मन से शरण होना, बुद्धि से शरण होना, इन्द्रियों से शरण होना, वाणी से शरण होना – ये सब उसके अन्तर्गत ही हैं | शरीर से भी उनके शरण होना और धन तथा जन से शरण होना यानी जो कुछ है सब भगवान् की चीज है, ऐसा मानकर भगवान् के समर्पण कर देना है |

भगवान् कहते हैं कि उस परमात्मा की कृपा से परम शान्ति यानी परमात्मा की प्राप्ति से जो शान्ति प्राप्त होती है, शाश्वत स्थान को परमपद कहते हैं, उसी को परमात्मा की प्राप्ति कहते हैं,

‘O India! You take refuge in that God with all your devotion, by His grace you will reach the supreme peace, the immortal place.’ What is the meaning of his saying ‘all-heartedness’? The meaning is that O Lord! Our parents, brothers, friends, wealth, people, life, everything – you are the one. You are our master, our knowledge, our husband, that is, everything that is, you are ours, this is the ultimate feeling.

If the meaning of Sarvbhava is taken in this way that ‘I am in the refuge of God’ then in it one has to offer one’s mind, speech, body, wealth, people, everything in His refuge. Taking refuge from the mind, taking refuge from the intellect, taking refuge from the senses, taking refuge from speech – all these are within it. To take refuge in Him even from the body and to take refuge in wealth and people means that whatever is there is to be considered as God’s thing and surrendered to Him.

God says that by the grace of that God, the ultimate peace i.e. the peace that is achieved by attaining God, the eternal place is called Parampad, that is called attainment of God,
