*श्रीकृष्ण के जितने ही समीप हम पहुँचते हैं उतनी ही श्रेष्ठताएँ हमारे अन्तःकरण में बढ़ती हैं। उसी अनुपात से आन्तरिक शान्ति की भी उपलब्धि होती चलती है। हिमालय की ठण्डी हवाएँ उन लोगों को अधिक शीतलता प्रदान करती हैं जो उस क्षेत्र में रहते हैं। इसी प्रकार आग की भट्टियों के समीप काम करने वालों को गर्मी अधिक अनुभव होती है।*
**उपासना का अर्थ है-पास बैठना। श्रीकृष्ण के पास बैठने से ही ईश्वर उपासना हो सकती है। साधारण वस्तुएँ तथा प्राणी अपनी विशेषताओं की छाप दूसरों पर छोड़ते हैं तो श्रीकृष्ण के समीप बैठने वालों पर उन दैवी विशेषताओं का प्रभाव क्यों न पड़ेगा?*
*पुष्प वाटिका में जाते ही फूलों की सुगन्ध से चित्त प्रसन्न होता है। चन्दन के वृक्ष अपने समीपवर्ती वृक्षों को सुगन्धित बनाते हैं। सज्जनों के सत्संग से साधारण व्यक्तियों की मनोभावनाएँ सुधरती हैं, फिर श्रीकृष्ण अपनी महत्ता की छाप उन लोगों पर क्यों न छोड़ेगा जो उसकी समीपता के लिए प्रयत्नशील रहते हैं।*
The closer we reach to Shri Krishna, the more superiority grows in our conscience. In the same proportion, inner peace is also achieved. The cold winds of the Himalayas provide more coolness to the people who live in that region. Similarly, those who work near fire furnaces experience more heat.*
The meaning of worship is to sit near. One can worship God only by sitting near Shri Krishna. Ordinary things and beings leave the mark of their characteristics on others, so why will those who sit near Shri Krishna not be affected by those divine features?
* On going to the flower garden, the mind is pleased with the fragrance of flowers. Sandalwood trees make their nearby trees fragrant. The feelings of ordinary people are improved by the satsang of the gentlemen, then why will Shri Krishna leave the mark of his importance on those people who are striving for his proximity.
