परमपिता ब्रह्मा ने परमात्मा परंब्रह्म शिव की इस स्तोत्र द्वारा उपासना की थी। इसीलिए इस स्तोत्र को ब्रह्मा कृत माना जाता है।
नमस्ते भगवान रुद्र भास्करामित तेजसे।
नमो भवाय देवाय रसायाम्बुमयात्मने।।
शर्वाय क्षितिरूपाय नंदीसुरभये नमः।
ईशाय वसवे सुभ्यं नमः स्पर्शमयात्मने।।
पशूनां पतये चैव पावकायातितेजसे।
भीमाय व्योम रूपाय शब्द मात्राय ते नमः।।
उग्रायोग्रास्वरूपाय यजमानात्मने नमः।
महाशिवाय सोमाय नमस्त्वमृत मूर्तये।।
ब्रह्माजी बोले कि हे भगवन् ! हे रुद्र ! आपका तेज अनगिनत सूर्यों के तेज सा है। रसरूप, जलमय विग्रहवाले हे भवदेव ! आपको नमस्कार है।
नंदी और सुरभि कामधेनु भी आपके ही प्रतिरूप हैं। पृथ्वी को धारण करनेवाले हे सर्वदेव ! आपको नमस्कार है। हे वायुरुपधारी, वसुरुपधारी आपको नमस्कार है।
अग्निरुप तेज व पशुपति रूपवाले हे देव ! आपको नमस्कार है। शब्द तन्मात्रा से युक्त आकाश रूपवाले हे भीमदेव ! आपको नमस्कार है।
हे उग्ररूपधारी यजमान सदृश आपको नमस्कार है। सोमरूप अमृतमूर्ति हे महादेव! आपको नमस्कार है।
समस्त चराचर प्राणियों एवं सकल विश्व का कल्याण करो प्रभु ! ।। ॐ नमः शिवाय ।।
The Supreme Father Brahma worshiped the Supreme Brahma Shiva by this stotra. That is why this stotra is considered by Brahma.
O Lord Rudra, I offer my obeisances to you with this radiance of the sun. Obeisance to Bhava, the god of the taste, the taste of the water.
O Sharva, in the form of the earth, O fearless one of the gods. I offer my obeisances to the Lord of the earth, the source of touch.
O lord of the animals and to the effulgence of the fire. O Bhima, the sky, form, sound, mother, I offer my obeisances to you.
O fiercely fierce form of the sacrificer, I offer my obeisances. O Mahashiva, Soma, I offer my obeisances to the immortal form.
Brahmaji said that O God! Hey Rudra! Your sharp countless is a sharp sun. Rasarupa, jalamay deity O Bhavdev! Greetings to you.
Nandi and Surabhi Kamadhenu are also your own models. O Sarvadev, who holds the earth! Greetings to you. O Vayurupadhari, Vasurupadhari greet you.
Fire is fast and Pashupati, O God! Greetings to you. Bhimdev with the word Tanmatra with a sky form! Greetings to you.
O fiercely -like Yajaman, greet you. Somrup Amritamurthy O Mahadev! Greetings to you.
