मिट्टी शीतलता प्रदान करती है

एक राजा को अपने लिए सेवक की आवश्यकता थी। उसके मंत्री ने दो दिनों के बाद एक योग्य व्यक्ति को राजा के सामने पेश किया। राजा ने उसे अपना सेवक बना तो लिया पर बाद में मंत्री से कहा, ‘‘वैसे तो यह आदमी ठीक है पर इसका रंग-रूप अच्छा नहीं है।’’ मंत्री को यह बात अजीब लगी पर वह चुप रहा।

एक बार गर्मी के मौसम में राजा ने उस सेवक को पानी लाने के लिए कहा। सेवक सोने के पात्र में पानी लेकर आया। राजा ने जब पानी पिया तो पानी पीने में थोड़ा गर्म लगा। राजा ने कुल्ला करके फेंक दिया। वह बोला, ‘‘इतना गर्म पानी, वह भी गर्मी के इस मौसम में, तुम्हें इतनी भी समझ नहीं।’’ मंत्री यह सब देख रहा था। मंत्री ने उस सेवक को मिट्टी के पात्र में पानी लाने को कहा। राजा ने यह पानी पीकर तृप्ति का अनुभव किया।

इस पर मंत्री ने कहा, ‘‘महाराज, बाहर को नहीं, भीतर को देखें। सोने का पात्र सुंदर, मूल्यवान और अच्छा है, लेकिन शीतलता प्रदान करने का गुण इसमें नहीं है। मिट्टी का पात्र अत्यंत साधारण है लेकिन इसमें ठंडा बना देने की क्षमता है। कोरे रंग-रूप को न देखकर गुण को देखें।’’ उस दिन से राजा का नजरिया बदल गया।

सम्मान, प्रतिष्ठा, यश, श्रद्धा पाने का अधिकार चरित्र को मिलता है, चेहरे को नहीं। चाणक्य ने कहा है कि मनुष्य गुणों से उत्तम बनता है न कि ऊंचे आसन पर बैठने से या पदवी से। जैसे ऊंचे महल के शिखर पर बैठ कर भी कौवा, कौवा ही रहता है; गरुड़ नहीं बन जाता। उसी तरह अमिट सौंदर्य निखरता है मन की पवित्रता से, क्योंकि सौंदर्य रंग-रूप, नाक-नक्श, चाल-ढाल, रहन-सहन, सोच-शैली की प्रस्तुति मात्र नहीं होता। यह व्यक्ति के मन, विचार, चिंतन और कर्म का आइना है। कई लोग बाहर से सुंदर दिखते हैं मगर भीतर से बहुत कुरूप होते हैं। जबकि ऐसे भी लोग हैं जो बाहर से सुंदर नहीं होते मगर उनके भीतर भावों की पवित्रता इतनी ज्यादा होती है कि उनका व्यक्तित्व चुंबकीय बन जाता है। सुंदर होने और दिखने में बहुत बड़ा अंतर है।

Once in the summer season, the king asked that servant to bring water. The servant brought water to the gold vessel. When the king drank water, it felt a little hot to drink water. The king rinse and thrown it away. He said, “So hot water, that too in this summer season, you do not even understand so much.” The minister was watching all this. The minister asked the servant to bring water to the earthen vessel. The king experienced satisfaction by drinking this water.

To this, the minister said, “Maharaj, not outside, look inside. The gold vessel is beautiful, valuable and good, but it does not have the quality of providing coolness. The earthen vessel is extremely simple but has the ability to cool down. Look at the virtue by not looking at the type of type of color. ”The king’s attitude changed from that day.

The character gets the right to get respect, prestige, fame, reverence, not the face. Chanakya has said that man becomes better than qualities and not by sitting on high posture or with a title. Just like sitting on the peak of the high palace, there is a crow, crow; Garuda does not become. In the same way, the indelible beauty enhances the purity of the mind, because the beauty is not just the appearance of color, nose-map, trick, living, thinking and style. This is a mirror of a person’s mind, thoughts, thinking and karma. Many people look beautiful from outside but are very ugly from within. While there are also people who are not beautiful from outside, but the sanctity of emotions within them is so much that their personality becomes magnetic. There is a huge difference between being beautiful and appearance.
