ऐसी सत्य घटना साझा कर रहे हैं, जिसे पढ़ते ही हृदय भगवान के लिए व्याकुल हो जाये..??
दिनांक: 1 नवंबर 1979 समय: रात्रि 1 बजे..स्थान: तिरुपति मंदिर…पूरा तिरुपति शहर और स्वयं भगवान श्रीमन्नारायण भी शयन कर रहे थे और घनघोर शांत रात्रि थी की इतने में ही…ठंन्न ठंन्न ठंन्न ठंन्न
तिरुपति मंदिर में भगवान वेंकटेश्वर के श्रीविग्रह के ठीक आगे जो बड़ा सा घंट है वो अपने आप हिलने लगा और उस घंट नाद से पूरा तिरुपति शहर एकदम आश्चर्य में भरकर उठ खड़ा हुआ। मंदिर रात्रि 12 बजे पूर्ण रूप से बंद हो गया था, फिर ये कैसी घंटा नाद की ध्वनि आ रही है? कोई भी जीवित व्यक्ति मंदिर में रात्रि 12 के बाद रहना संभव नही, तो फिर किसने ये घंटा नाद किया? कोई जीव-जंतु मंदिर में प्रवेश नही कर सकते क्योंकि सारे द्वार बंद है, तो फिर ये कौन है?
मंदिर के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी श्री पी वी आर के प्रसाद के नेत्रो में अश्रु थे क्योंकि केवल वे जान पा रहे थे कि ये केवल घंटा नाद नही है, ये भगवान ने अपना संकेत दे दिया है मेरे वरुण जाप की सफलता के लिए। भगवान् के सभी भक्त यह घटना बड़ी श्रद्धा से पढ़ें :-
यह अलौकिक दिव्य चमत्कारी घटना सन् 1979 नवंबर माह की हैं। सन् 1979 में तिरुपति क्षेत्र में भयंकर सूखा पडा। दक्षिण-पूर्व का मानसून पूरी तरह विफल हों गया था। गोगर्भम् जलाशय (जो तिरुपति में जल-आपूर्ति का प्रमुख स्त्रोत हैं) लगभग सूख चुका था। आसपास स्थित कुँए भी लगभग सूख चुके थे।
तिरुपति ट्रस्ट के अधिकारी बड़े भारी तनाव में थे। ट्रस्ट अधिकारियों की अपेक्षा थी की सितम्बर-अक्टूबर की चक्रवाती हवाओं से थोड़ी-बहुत वर्षा हों जाएगी किन्तु नवम्बर आ पहुंचा था। थोडा-बहुत , बस महीने भर का पानी शेष रह गया था। मौसम विभाग स्पष्ट कर चुका था की वर्षा की कोई संभावना नहीं हैं। सरकारें हाथ खड़ी कर चुकीं थीं। ट्रस्ट के सामने मन्दिर में दर्शन निषेध करने के अतिरिक्त अन्य कोई विकल्प नहीं बचा था। दर्शन निषेध अर्थात् दर्शन-पूजन अनिश्चित् काल के लिए बन्द कर देना। ट्रस्टीयों की आत्मा स्वयं धिक्कार रही थी की कैसे श्रद्धालुओं को कह पायेंगे की जल के अभाव के कारण देवस्थान में दर्शन प्रतिबंधित कर दिए गए हैं? किन्तु दर्शन बंद करने के अतिरिक्त कोई विकल्प नहीं बचा था। विधर्मियों और मूर्तिपूजन के विरोधियों का आनन्द अपने चरम पर था। नास्तिक लोग मारे ख़ुशी के झूम रहे थे। अखबारों में ख़बरें आ रही थी की जो भगवान् अपने तीर्थ में जल-आपूर्ति की व्यवस्था नहीं कर सकते वो भगवद्भक्तमण्डल पर कृपा कैसे करेंगे? सनातन धर्मानुयायियों को खुलेआम अन्धविश्वासी और सनातन धर्म को अंधविश्वास कहा जा रहा था। श्रद्धालु धर्मानुयायी रो रहे थे , उनके आंसू नहीं थम रहे थे…कुछ दिन और निकल गए किन्तु जल-आपूर्ति की कोई व्यवस्था नहीं। अचानक घबराए हुए ट्रस्टीयों को कुछ बुद्धि आई और उन्होंने वेदों और शास्त्रों के धुरन्धर विद्वान् और तिरुपति ट्रस्ट के सलाहकार , 90 वर्षीय श्री उप्पुलरी गणपति शास्त्री जी महाराज से सम्पर्क किया। ट्रस्टीयों ने महाराजश्री से पूछा की क्या वेदों और शास्त्रों में इस गंभीर परिस्थिति का कोई उपाय हैं? श्री उप्पुलरी गणपति शास्त्री जी महाराज ने उत्तर दिया की वेदों और शास्त्रों में इस लोक की और अलौकिक समस्त समस्याओं का निदान हैं।
महाराजश्री ने ट्रस्टीयों को “वरुण जप” करने का परामर्श दिया। महाराजश्री ने ट्रस्टीयों को बता दिया की पूर्ण समर्पण , श्रद्धा और विश्वास से यदि अनुष्ठान किया जाए तभी अनुष्ठान फलीभूत होगा अन्यथा नहीं। श्रद्धा में एक पैसेभर की कमी पूरे अनुष्ठान को विफल कर देगी। ट्रस्टीयों ने वरुण जाप करने का निर्णय ले लिया और दूर-दूर से विद्वानों को निमंत्रण भेजा गया। समय बहुत ही कम था और लक्ष्य बहुत ही बड़ा था। जल-आपूर्ति मात्र दस दिनों की बाकी रह गई थीं। 1 नवम्बर को जप का मुहूर्त निकला था। तभी बड़ी भारी समस्याओं ने ट्रस्टीयों को घेर लिया। जिन बड़े-बड़े विद्वानों को निमंत्रण भेजा गया था उनमे से अधिकाँश ने आने में असमर्थता व्यक्त कर दी। किसी का स्वास्थ्य खराब था , तो किसी के घर मृत्यु हों गई थी (मरणा-शौच) ; किसी को कुछ तो किसी को कुछ समस्या आ गई। वरुण-जाप लगभग असंभव हों गया इधर इन खबरों को अखबार बड़ी प्रमुखता से चटखारे ले-लेकर छापे जा रहे थे और सनातन धर्म , धर्मानुयायियों , ट्रस्टमण्डल और तिरुपति बालाजी का मज़ाक बनाए जा रहे थे। धर्म के शत्रु सनातन धर्म को अंधविश्वास सिद्ध करने पर तुले हुए थे। ट्रस्ट के अध्यक्ष श्री प्रसाद साहब की आँखों में आंसू थे। उन्होंने रो-रोकर आर्त ह्रदय से प्रभु वेंकटेश से प्रार्थना की । सारे ट्रस्टी और भक्तों ने भी प्रार्थना की। सभी ने प्रभु से प्रार्थना की – “क्या वरुण जाप नहीं हों पाएगा? क्या मंदिर के दर्शन बन्द हों जायेंगे? क्या हजारों-लाखों साल की परम्परा लुप्त हों जाएगी?
नवम्बर के महीने में रात्रीविश्राम के लिए मंदिर के पट बंद हों चुके थे । मंदिर में कोई नहीं था। सभी चिंतित भगवद्भक्त अपने-अपने घरों में रो-रोकर प्रभु से प्रार्थना कर रहे थे। और तभी रात्रि में 1 बजे यह घंटा नाद गूंज उठा पूरे तिरुमला पर्वत पर, मानो प्रभु सबसे कह रहे हो “चिंता मत करो मैं हूँ तुम्हारे साथ दूसरे दिन सुबह से ही वरुण जाप हेतु अनुकूलताएँ मिलनी आरम्भ हों गई। जिन विद्वानों ने आने में असमर्थता व्यक्त कर दी थीं उनकी उपलब्धि के समाचार आने लग गए।
8 नवम्बर को पुनः मुहूर्त निर्धारित कर लिया गया। जो विद्वान् अनुष्ठान से मुंह फेर रहे थे , वे पुरी शक्ति के साथ अनुष्ठान में आ डटे। वरुण जाप तीन दिनों तक चलनेवाली परम् कठिन वैदिक प्रक्रिया हैं । यह प्रातः लगभग तीन बजे आरम्भ हों जाती हैं। इसमें कुछ विद्वानों को तो घंटो छाती तक पुष्करिणी सरोवर में कड़े रहकर मन्त्र जाप करने थे कुछ भगवान् के अर्चा विग्रहों का अभिषेक करते थे , कुछ यज्ञ और होम करते थे तो कुछ “वेदपाठ” करते थे। तीन दिनों की इस परम् कठिन वैदिक प्रक्रिया के चौथे दिन पूर्णाहुति के रूप में “सहस्त्र कलशाभिषेकम्” सेवा प्रभु “श्री वेंकटेश्वर” को अर्पित की जानेवाली थी। तीन दिनों का अनुष्ठान संपन्न हुआ। सूर्यनारायण अन्तरिक्ष में पूरे तेज के साथ दैदीप्यमान हों रहे थे। बादलों का नामोनिशान तक नहीं था। भगवान् के भक्त बुरी तरह से निराश होकर मन ही मन भगवन से अजस्त्र प्रार्थना कर रहे थे..भगवान् के “अर्चा विग्रहों” को पुष्करिणी सरोवर में स्नान कराकर पुनः श्रीवारी मंदिर में ले जाया जा रहा था। पत्रकार चारों ओर खड़े होकर तमाशा देख रहे थे और हंस रहे थे और चारों ओर विधर्मी घेरकर चर्चा कर रहे थे की “ अनुष्ठान से बारिश? ऐसा कहीं होता हैं? कैसा अंधविश्वास हैं यह?“ कैसा पाखण्ड हैं यह?”ट्रस्ट के अध्यक्ष श्री प्रसाद साहब और ट्रस्टीगण मन ही मन सोच रहे थे की “हमसे कौनसा अपराध हों गया?” , “क्यों प्रभु ने हमारी पुकार अस्वीकार कर दी?” , अब हम संसार को और अपनेआप को क्या मुंह दिखाएँगे?”
इतने में ही दो तीन पानी की बूंदे श्री प्रसाद के माथे पर पड़ी..उन्हें लगा कि पसीने की बूंदे होंगी और घोर निराशा भरे कदम बढ़ाते रहे मंदिर की ओर पर फिर और पाँच छह मोटी मोटी बूंदे पड़ी सर ऊपर उठाकर देखा तो आसमान में काले काले पानी से भरे हुए बादल उमड़ आए है और घनघोर बिजली कड़कड़ा उठी दो तीन सेकेण्ड में मूसलधार वर्षा आरम्भ हुई! ऐसी वर्षा की सभी लोगो को भगवान के उत्सव विग्रहों को लेकर मंदिर की ओर दौड़ लगानी पड़ी फिर भी वे सभी सर से पैर तक बुरी तरह से भीग गए थे। याद रहे, वर्षा केवल तिरुपति के पर्वत क्षेत्र में हुई, आसपास एक बूँद पानी नहीं बरसा। गोगर्भम् जलाशय और आसपास के कुंएं लबालब भरकर बहने लगे। इंजिनियरों ने तुरंत आकर बताया की पूरे वर्ष तक जल-आपूर्ति की कोई चिंता नहीं। पत्रकार और धर्म के श त्रुओं के मुंह पर हवाइयां उड़ने लगी और वे बगलें झाँकने लगे। लोगों की आँखें फटी-की-फटी रह गई। भक्तमण्डल जय-जयकार कर उठा।
यह घटना सबके सामने घटित हुई और हज़ारों पत्रकार और प्रत्यक्षदर्शी इसके प्रमाण हैं लेकिन इस बात को दबा दिया गया सनातन धर्म की इस इतनी बड़ी जीत के किससे कभी टेलीविज़न , सिनेमा अथवा सोशल मीडिया पर नहीं गाये जाते..भगवान् वेंकटेश्वर श्रीनिवास कोई मूर्ती नहीं वरन् साक्षात् श्रीमन्नारायण स्वयं हैं। अपने भक्तों की पुकार सुनकर वे आज भी दौड़े चले आते हैं। भक्त ह्रदय से पुकारें तो सही…

The big bell in the Tirupati temple, just in front of the Srivigraha of Lord Venkateshwara, started shaking on its own and with the sound of the bell, the entire Tirupati city stood up in awe. The temple was completely closed at 12 o’clock in the night, then what kind of bell sound is coming? It is not possible for any living person to stay in the temple after 12 midnight, then who rang this bell? No living creature can enter the temple because all the doors are closed, then who is this?
The Chief Executive Officer of the temple, Shri PVR K Prasad had tears in his eyes because only he was able to know that this is not just the sound of the bell, this is the God who has given his signal for the success of my Varun Jaap. All the devotees of God should read this incident with great devotion:-
This supernatural divine miraculous incident happened in the month of November 1979. In 1979, there was a severe drought in Tirupati region. The south-east monsoon had completely failed. The Gogarbham reservoir (which is the main source of water supply in Tirupati) had almost dried up. The wells located nearby had also almost dried up.
Tirupati Trust officials were under great stress. Trust officials had expected that there would be some rainfall due to the cyclonic winds of September-October, but November had arrived. A little bit, just water for a month was left. The weather department had made it clear that there was no possibility of rain. The governments had given up. The Trust was left with no other option except prohibiting darshan in the temple. Prohibition of darshan means stopping darshan and worship indefinitely. The souls of the trustees themselves were reproaching that how would they be able to tell the devotees that darshan in the temple has been banned due to lack of water? But there was no option left except to stop the darshan. The joy of the opponents of heretics and idolatry was at its peak. Atheists were jumping with joy. There were reports in the newspapers that how will the God who cannot arrange water supply in his pilgrimage, bless the devotees of God? The followers of Sanatan Dharma were openly being called superstitious and Sanatan Dharma as superstition. Devout religious followers were crying, their tears were not stopping… A few more days passed but there was no arrangement for water supply. Suddenly the frightened trustees came to their senses and contacted 90 year old Shri Uppullari Ganapati Shastri Ji Maharaj, a great scholar of the Vedas and Shastras and advisor to the Tirupati Trust. The trustees asked Maharajshri whether there is any solution to this serious situation in the Vedas and Shastras? Shri Uppullari Ganapati Shastri Ji Maharaj replied that the Vedas and Shastras have solutions to all the problems of this world and the supernatural.
Maharajshree advised the trustees to do “Varun Japa”. Maharajshree told the trustees that the ritual will be fruitful only if it is performed with full dedication, devotion and faith, otherwise not. Even a penny’s lack of faith will make the entire ritual fail. The trustees decided to chant Varun and invitations were sent to scholars from far and wide. Time was very short and the goal was very big. Only ten days of water supply were left. The auspicious time for chanting was on 1st November. Then huge problems surrounded the trustees. Most of the prominent scholars to whom invitations were sent expressed their inability to come. Some were in poor health, some had died at home (mortality); Some people faced some problems and some others faced some problems. Chanting of Varun became almost impossible. Here these news were being published with great pomp and show in newspapers and making fun of Sanatan Dharma, religious followers, Trustmandal and Tirupati Balaji. The enemies of religion were hell-bent on proving Sanatan Dharma as superstition. Trust President Shri Prasad Saheb had tears in his eyes. He prayed to Lord Venkatesh with tears in his heart. All the trustees and devotees also prayed. Everyone prayed to the Lord – “Will Varun not be able to chant? Will temple darshan stop? Will thousands and millions of years of tradition disappear?
In the month of November, the doors of the temple were closed for the night. There was no one in the temple. All the worried devotees of God were crying and praying to the Lord in their respective homes. And then at 1 o’clock in the night, the sound of this bell echoed on the entire Tirumala mountain, as if the Lord was saying to everyone, “Don’t worry, I am with you. From the next morning itself, favors for chanting Varun started coming in. The scholars who were unable to come The news of his achievement started coming.
The auspicious time was again fixed for 8th November. The scholars who were turning away from the ritual joined the ritual with full force. Varun Jaap is a very difficult Vedic process that lasts for three days. It starts at around three in the morning. In this, some scholars had to stand in the Pushkarini lake for hours and chant mantras, some used to anoint the idols of God, some used to perform Yagya and Homa and some used to recite Vedas. On the fourth day of this extremely difficult Vedic process of three days, “Sahastra Kalashabhishekam” service was to be offered to Lord “Sri Venkateswara” as a completion offering. The ritual lasted for three days. Suryanarayan was shining with full glory in the space. There was not even a trace of clouds. The devotees of the Lord were deeply disappointed and were praying desperately to the Lord in their minds. The “Archa Deities” of the Lord were being bathed in the Pushkarini lake and then taken back to the Srivari temple. Journalists were standing around, watching the show and laughing, and the heretics were surrounded and discussing, “Rains due to rituals?” Does this happen anywhere? What kind of superstition is this? What kind of hypocrisy is this? Trust Chairman Shri Prasad Saheb and the trustees were thinking in their minds, “What crime have we committed?” , “Why did the Lord reject our cry?” , Now what face will we show to the world and to ourselves?” Meanwhile, two or three drops of water fell on Shri Prasad’s forehead. He thought that they must be drops of sweat and with great disappointment he continued to move towards the temple, but then five or six more thick drops fell. When he raised his head and looked up, the sky was black. Clouds filled with black water appeared and there was intense lightning and within two-three seconds torrential rain started. Due to such rain, all the people had to run towards the temple carrying the Utsav idols of the Lord, yet they all got drenched from head to toe. Remember, it rained only in the mountain region of Tirupati, not a single drop of water fell in the surrounding areas. Gogarbham reservoir and surrounding wells started flowing to the brim. Engineers immediately came and told that there is no worry about water supply for the whole year. Winds started blowing in the faces of journalists and enemies of religion and they started peeping from the sides. People’s eyes remained wide open in tears. The devotees stood up cheering.
This incident happened in front of everyone and thousands of journalists and eyewitnesses are proof of it but this thing was suppressed that is why this huge victory of Sanatan Dharma is never sung on television, cinema or social media.. Lord Venkateswara Srinivas is not an idol but It is Srimannarayana himself. Even today, hearing the call of his devotees, he comes running. If the devotee calls from his heart then it is right…
