भगवान राम जानते थे कि उनकी मृत्यु का समय हो गया है। वह जानते थे कि जो जन्म लेता है उसे मरना ही पड़ता है। यही जीवन चक्र है। और मनुष्य देह की सीमा और विवशता भी यही है।
उन्होंने कहा… “यम को मुझ तक आने दो। बैकुंठ धाम जाने का समय अब आ गया है।”
मृत्यु के देवता यम स्वयं अयोध्या में घुसने से डरते थे। क्योंकि उनको राम के परम भक्त और उनके महल के मुख्य प्रहरी हनुमान से भय लगता था। उन्हें पता था कि हनुमानजी के रहते यह सब आसान नहीं।
भगवान श्रीराम इस बात को अच्छी तरह से समझ गए थे कि, उनकी मृत्यु को अंजनी पुत्र कभी स्वीकार नहीं कर पाएंगे, और वो रौद्र रूप में आ गए, तो समस्त धरती कांप उठेगी।
उन्होंने सृष्टि के रचयिता भगवान ब्रह्मा से इस विषय मे बात की। और अपने मृत्यु के सत्य से अवगत कराने के लिए राम जी ने अपनी अंगूठी को महल के फर्श के एक छेद में से गिरा दिया!
और हनुमान से इसे खोजकर लाने के लिए कहा। हनुमान ने स्वयं का स्वरुप छोटा करते हुए बिल्कुल भंवरे जैसा आकार बना लिया… और अंगूठी को तलाशने के लिये उस छोटे से छेद में प्रवेश कर गए। वह छेद केवल छेद नहीं था, बल्कि एक सुरंग का रास्ता था, जो पाताल लोक के नाग लोक तक जाता था। हनुमान नागों के राजा वासुकी से मिले और अपने आने का कारण बताया।
वासुकी हनुमान को नाग लोक के मध्य में ले गए, जहाँ पर ढेर सारी अंगूठियों का ढेर लगा था। वहां पर अंगूठियों का जैसे पहाड़ लगा हुआ था।
“यहां देखिए, आपको श्री रामकी अंगूठी अवश्य ही मिल जाएगी” वासुकी ने कहा।
हनुमानजी सोच में पड़ गए कि वो कैसे उसे ढूंढ पाएंगे? यह भूसे में सुई ढूंढने जैसा था। लेकिन उन्हें राम जी की आज्ञा का पालन करना ही था। तो राम जी का नाम लेकर उन्होंने अंगूठी को ढूंढना शुरू किया।
सौभाग्य कहें या राम जी का आशीर्वाद या कहें हनुमान जी की भक्ति… उन्होंने जो पहली अंगूठी उठाई, वो राम जी की ही अंगूठी थी। उनकी खुशी का ठिकाना न रहा। वो अंगूठी लेकर जाने को हुए, तब उन्हें सामने दिख रही एक और अंगूठी जानी पहचानी सी लगी।
पास जाकर देखा तो वे आश्चर्य से भर गए! दूसरी भी अंगूठी जो उन्होंने उठाई वो भी राम जी की ही अंगूठी थी। इसके बाद तो वो एक के बाद एक अंगूठीयाँ उठाते गए, और हर अंगूठी श्री राम की ही निकलती रही।
उनकी आँखों से अश्रु धारा फूट पड़ी!
‘ वासुकी यह प्रभु की कैसी माया है? यह क्या हो रहा है? प्रभु क्या चाहते हैं?’
वासुकी मुस्कुराए और बोले,
“जिस संसार में हम रहते है, वो सृष्टि व विनाश के चक्र से गुजरती है। जो निश्चित है। जो अवश्यम्भावी है। इस संसार के प्रत्येक सृष्टि चक्र को एक कल्प कहा जाता है। हर कल्प के चार युग या चार भाग होते हैं।
हर बार कल्प के दूसरे युग मे अर्थात त्रेता युग में, राम अयोध्या में जन्म लेते हैं। एक वानर इस अंगूठी का पीछा करता है… यहाँ आता है और हर बार पृथ्वी पर राम मृत्यु को प्राप्त होते हैं।
इसलिए यह सैकड़ों हजारों कल्पों से चली आ रही अंगूठियों का ढेर है। सभी अंगूठियां वास्तविक हैं। सभी श्री राम की ही है। अंगूठियां गिरती रहीं है… और इनका ढेर बड़ा होता रहा।
भविष्य के रामों की अंगूठियों के लिए भी यहां पर्याप्त स्थान है।”
हनुमान एकदम शांत हो गए। और तुरन्त समझ गए कि, उनका नाग लोक में प्रवेश और अंगूठियों के पर्वत से साक्षात्कार कोई आकस्मिक घटी घटना नहीं थी। बल्कि यह प्रभु राम का उनको समझाने का मार्ग था कि, मृत्यु को आने से रोका नहीं जा सकता। राम मृत्यु को प्राप्त होंगे ही। पर राम वापस आएंगे… यह सब फिर दोहराया जाएगा।
प्रभु राम आएंगे… उन्हें आना ही है… उन्हें आना ही होगा।
जय सियाराम
यही सृष्टि का नियम है, हम सभी बंधे हैं इस नियम से। संसार समाप्त होगा। लेकिन हमेशा की तरह, संसार पुनः बनता है और राम भी पुनः जन्म लेंगे।
Lord Rama knew that the time had come for his death. He knew that one who is born has to die. This is the cycle of life. And this is also the limitation and compulsion of the human body.
He said… “Let Yama come to me. The time has now come to go to Baikunth Abode.
Yama, the god of death himself was afraid to enter Ayodhya. Because he was afraid of Hanuman, the supreme devotee of Rama and the chief guard of his palace. He knew that all this was not easy in the presence of Hanumanji.
Lord Shriram had understood this very well that Anjani’s son would never accept his death, and if he came in a fierce form, the whole earth would tremble.
He talked to Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe, about this. And to inform the truth of his death, Ram ji dropped his ring through a hole in the floor of the palace!
And asked Hanuman to find it and bring it. Hanuman reduced himself to the size of a whirlpool… and entered that small hole to find the ring. That hole was not just a hole, but a tunnel leading to the Naag Lok of Patal Lok. Hanuman met Vasuki, the king of the serpents, and explained the reason for his visit.
Vasuki took Hanuman to the middle of the serpent world, where there was a pile of rings. There was like a mountain of rings.
“Look here, you will surely find Shri Ram’s ring,” said Vasuki.
Hanumanji got thinking that how will he be able to find him? It was like finding a needle in a haystack. But he had to obey Ram ji’s orders. So taking the name of Ram ji, he started searching for the ring.
Say good luck or blessings of Ram ji or say devotion to Hanuman ji… The first ring he picked up was Ram ji’s ring only. His happiness knew no bounds. When he was about to take the ring, another ring in front of him felt familiar.
When they went near and saw, they were filled with wonder! The second ring that he picked up was also Ram ji’s ring. After this, he kept on picking up the rings one after the other, and every ring kept coming out of Shri Ram.
Tears welled up in his eyes!
‘ Vasuki, what kind of illusion is this of the Lord? What is this happening? What does the Lord want?’
Vasuki smiled and said,
“The world we live in goes through cycles of creation and destruction. which is certain. which is inevitable. Each creation cycle of this world is called a Kalpa. Every Kalpa has four Yugas or four parts.
Every time in the second yuga of Kalpa i.e. Treta yuga, Rama takes birth in Ayodhya. A monkey chases this ring… comes here and every time Rama dies on earth.
That’s why it is a pile of rings that have been going on for hundreds of thousands of kalpas. All rings are genuine. Everything belongs to Shri Ram only. The rings kept falling… and the pile kept getting bigger.
There is also enough space for the rings of future Rams.
Hanuman became completely calm. And immediately understood that his entry into the serpent world and his encounter with the mountain of rings was not an accident. Rather it was Lord Rama’s way of making them understand that death cannot be stopped from coming. Ram will definitely get death. But Ram will come back… all this will be repeated again.
Lord Ram will come… He has to come… He has to come. Hail Siya Ram
This is the law of creation, we all are bound by this law. The world will end. But as always, the world is created again and Rama will also be born again.
