दायें हाथका दिया बायाँ हाथ भी न जान पाये

स्वर्गके देवदूतोंने भगवान् एक दिन प्रश्न किया “प्रभो क्या संसारमें ऐसी भी कोई वस्तु है जो चट्टानोंसे अधिक कठोर हो ?’

भगवान्ने उत्तर दिया कि ‘हाँ, लोहा चट्टानोंसे अधिक कठोर है, क्योंकि यह उन्हें तोड़ डालता है।’ ‘और क्या ऐसी भी कोई वस्तु है जो लोहेसे भीकठोर और मजबूत हो ?’ देवदूतोंने पुनः पूछा। ‘हाँ, अनि ! क्योंकि यह उसे पिघला देता है।’ भगवान्ने उत्तर दिया।

‘और अग्निसे कठोर क्या है ?’ देवदूतोंका पुनः प्रश्न हुआ। “पानी, जो अग्निको बुझा डालता है।’ उत्तर रहा प्रभुका।’और पानीको भी मात करनेवाली चीज क्या है ?’

वदूतोंका प्रश्न बढ़ता ही गया ।

‘हवा जो जलके प्रवाहको तरङ्गके रूपमें परिणत कर डालता है, उसके उत्पत्तिस्थान मेघोंको भी जब वाहे एकत्र या तितर-बितर कर सकता है।’

‘और क्या प्रभो! अब भी कोई चीज ऐसी है जो नकी अपेक्षा भी अधिक बलवान् हो । ‘ ‘हाँ, हाँ, वह दयालु हृदय, जो इतनी गुप्त रीतिसेदान देता है, इतना छिपाकर देता है कि जिसका बायाँ हाथ भी नहीं जान पाता कि दाहिना हाथ क्या कर रहा है ? ‘ (फिर दूसरे तो जान ही क्या पायेंगे ? -)

(Yes, the kind heart that gives alms is secret, not letting the left hand know what the right hand is doing.) वह इस वायुकी अपेक्षा भी बलवत्तर है। सबसे बलवान् है, सबसे महान् है ।

The angels of heaven asked the Lord one day, “Lord, is there anything in the world that is harder than rocks?”
The Lord replied that ‘yes, iron is harder than rocks, because it breaks them.’ ‘And is there anything that is harder and stronger than iron?’ The angels asked again. ‘Yes, Ani! Because it melts him.’ God replied.
‘And what is harder than fire?’ The question of angels again arose. “Water, which extinguishes fire.” Lord replied. ‘And what is the thing that can beat even water?’
The question of the angels kept on increasing.
‘The wind which transforms the flow of water into waves, can collect or disperse even the clouds at its place of origin.’
‘And what Lord! There is still something that is stronger than that. ‘ ‘Yes, yes, that kind heart that gives so secretly, so secretly that even its left hand does not know what the right hand is doing? ‘ (Then what will others know? -)
(Yes, the kind heart that gives alms is secret, not letting the left hand know what the right hand is doing.) He is stronger than this air. He is the strongest, he is the greatest.
