सच्चे भक्तका अनुभव

साधु मुहम्मद सैयद सच्चे भक्त संत थे। इनके पास कोई भी संग्रहकी वस्तु नहीं रहती थी । यहाँतक कि लंगोटी भी ये नहीं पहनते – नंगे रहते थे। शाहजहाँ इन्हें बहुत मानता था। दाराशिकोह तो इनका प्रधान भक्त ही था। ये प्रायः सदा एक गीत गाया करते थे, जिसका भाव है- ‘मैं सच्चे संत भक्त फुरकनका शिष्य हूँ। मैं यहूदी भी हूँ, हिंदू भी और मुसलमान भी । काबाके मस्जिदमें और हिंदुओंके मन्दिरमें लोग एक ही परमात्मा की उपासना करते हैं। एक जगह यही प्रभु काले पत्थरका रूप धारण करते हैं, जिनकी काबामें पूजा होती है और दूसरी जगह (हिंदू-मन्दिरमें) मूर्तिका रूप धारण करते हैं।’ औरंगजेब दाराका घोर शत्रु था। वह सैयद साहबसेभी चिढ़ता था। उसने उन्हें पकड़ मँगवाया और उन्हें धर्मद्रोही घोषितकर मुल्लाओंके हाथमें निर्णय सौंपा। निर्दय धर्मान्ध मुल्लाओंने धर्मके नामपर उन्हें शूलीकी आज्ञा दे दी, पर सैयद साहबको इससे बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई। वे शूलीका नाम सुनकर आनन्दसे उछल पड़े। शूलीके काठपर चढ़ते समय वे बोल उठे- ‘अहा ! आजका दिन मेरे लिये बड़े सौभाग्यका है। जो शरीर आत्माके साथ प्रियतम परमात्माके मिलनेमें बाधक था, आज इसी शूलीकी कृपासे वह छूट जायगा।’ वे गाने लगे— ‘मेरे दोस्त ! आज तू शूलीके रूपमें आया। तू किसी भी रूपमें क्यों न आवे, मैं तुझे पहचानता हूँ ।’ -जा0 श0

Sadhu Muhammad Syed was a true devotee saint. They didn’t have any collection items. He didn’t even wear a loincloth – he lived naked. Shah Jahan used to respect him a lot. Darashikoh was his main devotee. He used to sing a song almost always, the meaning of which is- ‘I am the disciple of true saint devotee Furkan. I am a Jew, a Hindu as well as a Muslim. In the mosque of the Kaaba and in the temple of the Hindus, people worship the same God. At one place this Lord takes the form of a black stone, which is worshiped in the Kaaba and at another place (in a Hindu temple) takes the form of an idol.’ Aurangzeb was Dara’s worst enemy. He used to get irritated even with Syed Sahib. He got them caught and declared them traitors and handed over the decision to the Mullahs. Ruthless bigoted Mullahs ordered him to be crucified in the name of religion, but Syed Sahib was very happy with this. They jumped with joy on hearing Shulika’s name. While climbing the pole, he said- ‘Aha! Today is a very lucky day for me. The body which was obstructing the meeting of the beloved God with the soul, will be freed today by the grace of this sword.’ They started singing – ‘My friend! Today you came in the form of Shuli.
